Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 355 Daddy Is Awesome

Bobby and Nadia looked at Nancy.

"Mommy... Why aren't you opening the door for Daddy?1 Bobby said with his lips turned down. Nancy didn't say anything.

"Mommy, why did you lock Daddy outside?1' Nadia asked in the same beat as her brother.

Nancy felt wronged, but she couldn't say that their Daddy didn't love their Mommy. Not only did he not love Mommy, but he was also head over heels for some other woman.

She didn't want the kids to be disappointed in their father, so she could only keep quiet.

But now she was sure of one thing-Charles was a playboy!

"Kids, I think we should make dinner now. Wanna come to the kitchen with Mommy?" Nancy forced a smile and asked.

"No, we want Daddy!"

While Nancy was absentminded due to the children's 'complex' questions, two hazy figures sneakily ran into the yard. They silently opened the door for Charles and allowed him to park the car inside. "Daddy, where did you go with Mommy? Why didn't you bring us with you?" Nadia looked at Charles with her lips pursed.

"Well, Daddy went to a place far away. As compensation, Daddy and Mommy will take you out to play in a few days. Okay?" Charles picked Nadia up and said. Unaware of what Edward and Nancy said to the children, he could only follow the children's line of thoughts.

However, one thing was for sure-none of the three wished to hurt the children.

"Okay, you must keep your word," Nadia said as she cupped Charles' face.

"Of course. Daddy will never lie to you kids," said Charles, coaxing Nadia.

"Where is your Mommy?" When they heard Charles' question, even the kids were bewildered for a second. Because when they came in, Nancy was nowhere to be found. "She was here just a second ago. MOMMY!" Nadia shouted.

Nancy had just changed into a set of household clothes. Hearing Nadia's shout, she went downstairs. However, her face instantly went cold when she saw Charles.

In fact, Charles also felt that he had gone too far this time. Even before figuring out the origin of those photos, he had already made up his mind and became angry.

So it was only natural for Nancy to be angry.

"Daddy, what's wrong with Mommy?" Bobby asked.

What Charles dreaded the most, finally came to pass-Bobby was back with his simple yet complex questions. He smiled stiffly and said, "Um... Mommy. It's because she's too tired from a business trip!" "Really, Mommy?" Bobby felt something was wrong, so he frowned and asked.

"Yes, I am very tired!" Nancy answered with a depressed look.

"Daddy, why is Mommy tired? Aren't you supposed to take care of Mommy?" Nadia asked softly.

"Yes, of course, I take care of your Mommy. But your Mommy is very rebellious. What should I do?" Nancy's face puffed with anger looked quite cute to Charles, so he couldn't help but tease her. Obviously, ignoring her grievances mid-way.

Nancy felt aggrieved, but Charles teased her again.

Unable to stand his teasing any longer, she stood up and went upstairs.

Nadia stuck out her tongue and whispered to Charles, "Daddy, Mommy seems to be angry."

Shrugging his shoulders, Charles said, "Yes, your Mommy is really angry."

But so was he!

Edward and Nancy's past was like a prickly thorn in his heart.

He was waiting for her explanation, but she just kept overlooking the matter.

Why didn't she explain?

Wasn't it the same as confirming his guess?

Bobby wasn't a simpleton like Nadia. He knew something was wrong because his Mommy always seemed happy when she was with them.

But today, the hidden trace of unhappiness in her eyes was quite apparent to Bobby.

"Daddy, what do you mean? Mommy always listens to you!" Bobby asked with his round cheeks in a shade of red.

Mommy looked very tired when she came back today.

What did Daddy do to make Mommy so unhappy?

Bobby looked at Charles in confusion.

Of course, Charles didn't dare to tell the truth. If he told the truth, Bobby wouldn't let him go easily.

That was right. In this world, he feared no one except the two little tyrants: Bobby and Nadia.

So Charles carefully considered his options and said, "I asked your Mommy to stay away from a bad man. But your Mommy didn't listen to me." Charles didn't want to lie, especially in front of the children.

He had no choice because if the inquisitor Bobby decided to ask his questions, he would be done for.

Nadia covered her eyes in horror. "Daddy, did Mommy meet a bad guy?"

"Yes!" Charles replied with a smile, thanking the gods for this surprise support.

"Well, Daddy is very powerful. You will defeat the bad guy, right?" Bobby asked with admiration.

Every child held their Daddy as an omnipotent being in their mind.

And Bobby was no different.

Looking at Bobby's serious look, Charles felt guilty.

From the stairs, Nancy looked at Charles coldly.

She wanted him to explain his relationship with that woman. But he was completely overlooking the matter!

She was sure that he would use the 'client relations' excuse.

So what was the point of her asking?

"Yes, I punched the bad man away, and brought your Mommy back," Charles answered seriously.

"Yes, Daddy, you are awesome!" Bobby said with unmatched enthusiasm.

Yet, the more excited was Bobby, the heavier was Charles' guilt.

"Mommy, is that so?" Nadia looked up at Nancy.

"Yes, your Daddy is very powerful! But he got one thing wrong. That bad guy wasn't a man. It was actually a woman!" said Nancy, not giving Charles any time to enjoy his victory. "What? A bad woman?" Nadia asked in surprise.

"Yes, women are more terrible than men when they decide to act bad." Then she continued, "You have seen how women can be bad on TV, haven't you?"

Nadia bit her finger and nodded.

"Kids, let me tell you something. Your Daddy said something wrong just now. In fact, it wasn't Mommy who met a bad guy. It was your Daddy. Your Daddy was taken away by the enchantress, so he came back later than Mommy. Do you understand?" Weaving stories for children was barely an inconvenience for Nancy.

"Well, Mommy, why didn't you save Daddy? This enchantress is scary!" Nadia said worriedly.

"No, men like enchantresses very much. Because of her beauty, your Daddy was even unwilling to come back. If you don't believe me, you can ask him." When Nancy said this, a hint of joy flitted across her heart.

Charles was good at innuendo. And Nancy knew it.

"Daddy, how many enchantresses have you met? Tell us, how did they bully you? Do you really like them?" Nadia rained down her questions on Charles. Charles's face was as gloomy as a fish.

But he still had no idea about what Nancy meant.

Refusing to be on the losing side, he said, "There are also some male monsters. You have seen them, haven't you?"

Bobby and Nadia nodded at the same time. "Yes, tell us, tell us. We want to hear more!"

The two kids were worried about Charles and Nancy, and more importantly, they wanted to know how they beat the enchantress and the monster.

The children were naive, after all. How could they know that Charles and Nancy were quarreling with each other?
