Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 320 Who Do You Like More

Nadia bit her small fingers, trying to solve her problem.

Who did she like more?

It was difficult for her to decide!

She looked up to see Charles smiling at him. "I like both of you!" she exclaimed. Charles winced at her reply, feeling helpless.

"Nadia, you see, we've lived together for so long. Daddy promises to send you to school every day, and even pick you up! I'll cook delicious food for you and buy you nice toys..." he listed, trying to appease her Charles never thought the day would come where he would have to pine for his children's favor.

But now, he found himself desperately groveling for their recognition.

Bobby had grown tired of Charles' pleading. With a sigh, he said, "Daddy, as long as you can make Mommy happy, or marry her immediately, Nadia and I will like you!"

"Really, Nadia?" Charles asked her softly.

"Well, as long as Daddy can make Mommy happy, I will like Daddy the most! Daddy, you'll be able to do that, right?" she asked. Nadia held Charles' face and gave him a big kiss, smiling brightly at him. "Bobby Mommy and I don't want to leave Daddy. You have to try harder. Daddy! Come on!" "I'll try my hardest", he promised, giving her a reassuring smile. It was important for Charles to win over his children's hearts.

In the past, Bobby and Nadia had always supported him, no matter what happened between Nancy and him.

However, things were different now. If they were to side with Nancy and fight against him with the help of Edward, his position would surely be in jeopardy.

Charles would never allow for that to happen!

As Nadia opened her mouth to reply, Bobby interrupted, saying, "Nadia, go back to your room and sleep!"

At Bobby's order, Nadia frowned at him and didn't dare to say anything more. Bowing her head, she walked back to her room obediently.

"Bobby, you're my biological son. I can trust that you'll support me. Am I right?" Charles asked his son.

For him to garner Bobby's support, he would have to work harder to please him.

Bobby rolled his eyes at Charles' question, turning away from him to return to his room.

As he watched Bobby walk away, Charles felt awkward and ashamed.

Nancy turned to close the door after seeing her children return to their rooms.

Charles rushed over to Nancy, bracing his hands on the door to prevent it from closing.

"Nancy, please don't do this. I know what I did was wrong," he pleaded.

She ignored him and tried to pry his hands away from the door. She didn't want to be swayed by his apologies. Even if he apologized now, she had to stand her ground. He certainly wasn't apologizing the night he tortured her. At the time, she felt like he would send her to hell.

Despite her efforts to push him away from the door, she was too weak to withstand Charles' strength. He forced the door open.

Tired from fighting against him, Nancy turned to go back to bed. She lay down, covering her face with a quilt.

Looking over at Nancy's covered body, Charles felt helpless. She was determined to ignore him. What should he do now?

Charles had never needed to fawn for anything in his entire life.

But now, he needed to do that to make amends with Nancy... He had no idea what to do!

Walking towards Nancy, he leaned over and whispered in her ear, "Honey, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do something so crazy that night. I'm just a man... Men are wolves..."

Nancy jerked away from him and pulled down the quilt to look him in the eyes. "I see. You were a wolf that night. What about me? Am I just a piece of meat to be torn apart by you? Is that it?" she questioned angrily.

"What?" he asked, stunned. This wasn't what he intended. All he wanted to do was please her.

What did he do to upset her again?

"No, you're not a piece of meat. You're my baby! What I 'm trying to say is that I love you, Nancy! I love you more than Edward!" he pleaded, searching her eyes. Impatient to appease her, his face colored in frustration.

Charles reminded Nancy of a child, eager to express his feelings. She was moved by his words, despite herself.

Nancy bit her lips and said nothing.

"Nancy, tell me what I can do to make things better!

How can I win your heart?" She looked away from him and sighed.

A small smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, but she remained silent.

Taking her smile as encouragement, Charles continued, "Will you forgive me if I kneel on the washboard for you?"

What an unusual man! What game was he playing?

Would it be possible for him to kneel on the washboard for her?

Charles was the CEO of a well-known TS Group in the city. He could never bring himself to kneel for anyone.

The image of Charles kneeling on the washboard made Nancy giggle. She was intrigued to see if he could do it for her.

After suggesting the idea to her, he suddenly felt that kneeling would not be enough to make things up to her.

How could any dignified man kneel so easily?

Hoping she wouldn't insist on his kneeling, he changed the subject. "I know you would never let me kneel on the washboard. How about you hit me instead?"

He took Nancy's small hand in his and slapped himself in the face with it.

Pulling her hand away from his face, she said, "Charles, I'd much rather see you kneel on the washboard. Go ahead and kneel for me,"

she said, a sly smile tugging at her lips.

"Hahaha..." He laughed awkwardly. "I was just kidding. You can't take everything I say seriously!" he argued.

Seeing her consider his proposition, he regretted mentioning anything about kneeling.

He knew he was asking for trouble.

Nancy watched as Charles stood in front of her, waiting for her to change her mind. Quickly losing her patience with his antics, she turned away and ignored him.

As he took two deep breaths, he saw Nancy getting angrier and angrier. This wasn't what he intended.

With a defeated sigh, Charles stood up and made his way to the washing room. He searched for the washboard, but couldn't find it. Spotting a cushion in the corner of his eye, he reached for it instead. 'This will do.' bethought.

Throwing the cushion on the ground in front of her he said, "I wasn't able to find the washboard. The only thing in that room was this cushion. Are you really going to make me kneel?"

Nancy glanced at Charles and saw him reluctantly bending down to kneel.

"Charles, stop. I won't forgive you even if you kneel!" Nancy snorted.

Charles smiled to himself, hearing her finally speak to him. Was he finally getting through to her?

He rushed towards her and sat on the edge of the bed, running his hands through her hair gently. "Honey, you' re finally speaking to me. I knew you wouldn't be able to ignore me. Are you hungry? What would you like to eat? Just tell me, and I'll make it for you."

"It's fine, I'm not hungry," she said hesitantly. Nancy was still upset with him, no matter what he did. Kneeling made no difference to her.

She knew him too well. How would an arrogant man set aside his pride and kneel?

Nancy didn't have the heart to forgive him just yet.

As soon as she finished speaking, her stomach rumbled. She turned away from him in embarrassment.

"Nancy, wait for me. I'll cook noodles for you. It'll be ready in a few minutes," Charles eagerly said as he stepped out of the room.

Nancy winced from the pain in her lower body as she sat up from the bed.

Looking down at her body, she took a deep breath and murmured, "Charles, you're a cruel man!"

Charles had heard her words from outside the room. He paused and glanced back at her with a somber face.

Feeling sorry for himself, Charles sighed. He really lost his mind that night!

Even if he regretted his actions, he couldn't allow for any other man to steal Nancy away from him!

No matter who it was!
