Sky’s Rejection Chapter 17

(Alpha Xander Lee Woodland’s POV)

*In Woodland Pack*

‘Alpha, a rogue is trying to pass on your land.’ My beta mind links to me. Why am I being mind linked over something like this? Are they all incompetent so that they can’t handle a single rogue?

‘Did you hit your head, Beta? We kill any rogue who dares step foot in my land.’ I told him back through the mind link., anger slowly leaking through.

‘Of course not Alpha, it is just this rogue, it is a she – wolf and that is why I asked you.’ The Beta links back, intriguing me.

‘Bring her to my office.’ I told him as I closed our link with each other. Why would a she – wolf be out and wondering all alone? Many rogues are males and the only she – wolf ones you see are the ones mated to rogues who do not want to join their mate’s pack. Though they wouldn’t travel alone.

‘Mate.’ My wolf Bain snarled in disdain. I don’t blame him. We haven’t been able to get Sky out of our minds since the day of the rejection. At this point, we can’t even think of the reason why we rejected her. I could have kept her as a sidepiece to satisfy my wolf and I. What my wolf would do to just be able to see her again, feel her again, touch her again. I snarled at the she – wolf in front of me. Smelling the male wolves all over her. How dare she allow some other wolves to touch what is supposed to be mine?

‘Not that we want her.’ Bain comments in anger. He’s right. Even with her right in front of us, on her knees begging for me to spare her. My wolf and I still feel the need to claim Sky instead of this bimbo. Though, she is crying about how she is in love with another as well.

“What exactly happened to this wolf you say you love?” I asked in curiosity as I moved around my desk, sitting down as I waited impatiently for her to answer. She looks up at me in shock. She must have thought I would be mad over what she said.

“I.. I.. No… I mean there… Is no one…” She stutters, making my very little patience leave me. I rushed out of my seat, lifted her up by her neck and slammed her into the wall, successfully shutting up her stuttering mess.

“I did not ask you to stutter or lie to me, you little w***e. I told you to tell me who he is and why you are not with him anymore. Maybe I can help you and you can help me”, I told her eerily, calmly. As I let go of her neck, I watch as she falls to the ground choking as she greedily sucks air in. She deserves to endure everything I would like to put her through.

“He found his mate, though he acted as if he didn’t want me anyway. Something about not touching a she – wolf unless she is his mate. They don’t seem to get along though and daddy said they still haven’t talked.” The she – wolf said in a bitchy tone. What does she mean they don’t get along? How can she love some male that hasn’t even acknowledged the concept of them being together?

“How long have you been away from him?” I asked as I took my seat back behind my desk. Looking at the built – up paperwork in front of me. I need a distraction to keep my anger under control.

“Almost two weeks.” She states sadly. Her squeaky voice sounds like nails running down a chalk board. The way her bottom l*p constantly sticks out as if it’s cute. What is even her name?

‘Why do we care? She will be no one to us after we get what we want back.’ Bain comments in agitation. He’s right. She is a mere speck of dirt compared to our first mate.

“Hmm. What pack is he from so I can start planning this out?” I asked as I started filling out the peace treaty agreement with Hollow Blue Pack. Trying to keep myself distracted enough so I don’t kill this she – wolf in front of me. That reminds me that I need to call Henry and invite him over so we can get this all completed.

“The Royal Pack.” She mumbles, causing my head to shoot up as I looked at her in complete shock. She did not just say what I thought she had said. The King keeps his pack tight and secretive. This she – wolf must be a nuisance to just allow her to wander off and out of their pack.

‘She did. The Royal Pack. Are we really going to challenge the King?’ Bain asked me in a mocking voice. Bain, it doesn’t mean we will go against the King himself. It could be anyone in the royal pack. Why would she try to seduce the King, that would normally get anyone killed, I replied back to my wolf.

“Who is the male in the Royal Pack and who is his mate?” I asked calmly, expecting to hear anyone but the names I had heard.

“Royal Alpha Dimitri and the stupid slut’s name is Sky.” She said as I stared straight at her in disbelief. There is no f*****g way. How the hell did my Sky get mated to the King? She is mine and I will not allow him to have her.

‘The King got our mate. How?’ Bain whimpers, though I can feel the heat from his anger radiating off him in waves. ‘I will kill him.’

I picked up my phone and dialed the one person who could and would actually help me with this. After a few rings, I hear the click, indicating that he has picked up the phone. “I need you here.”

“Coming.” He replies over the phone before the line goes dead. Goddess, what has she done? Why did my stupid mate have to go to the Royal Pack? s**t, did she tell them what her brother and I have done to her? I knew he would be here in a few minutes, knowing we are neighboring packs and we were always going back and forth to help each other.

A knock came on my office door, “Come in.”

“Who is that? You never said anyone was coming.” She says as she jumps off the floor and walks into the dark corner in the back, like a wolf couldn’t smell her out. Damn, how did I end up with the stupidest she – wolf there is?

“Hey man, what’s the emergency? You sounded freaked out on the phone.” Henry spoke as he took a seat in front of me. All of a sudden, he sniffs the air and turns around. “Why is there a she – wolf in here? Don’t we have a rule: no s*x while calling the other person for help?”

“Ugh. I am not doing anything with her and don’t suggest that I would. She is my second chance mate, though she is a complete bimbo.” I began to tell him but got cut off by the incompetent she – wolf.

‘Let me at her, let me rip her to pieces as she begs for her life.’ Bain growls aggressively in my head, making me roll my eyes.

“Hey.” She cuts me off, I growl at her, making her shut up immediately and turn back to look at her nails.

“Back to what I was saying. She came from the Royal Pack, where she was trying her hardest to be with the Royal Alpha, but he refused to be with any she – wolf that wasn’t his mate. As everyone knows. Did I leave anything out? Oh, that’s right, the King found his mate while she was there and that mate is the one and only Sky.” I told Henry the whole story, mockingly, as I glared at my new mate.

‘She isn’t even pretty. You should never have rejected Sky.’ Bain growls as he stares at this she – wolf distastefully.

“You said what? You know where Sky is? Let’s go and get her then.” Henry demands in his Alpha voice, as he rises to his feet. I hate when he tries to order me around.

“We can’t just go storming our way onto the Royal Pack lands and take your sister back. We don’t stand a chance against them. Plus, they will take a large number of us as a threat. Also, what happens if she told them what we have done to her?” I told him as I tried to keep my cool. See the thing is, when someone Alpha orders me, I have to try my hardest not to be controlled by it. As I am sure you have guessed, I wasn’t the original Alpha for this pack. My older brother was supposed to be the Alpha but was killed off by rogues, just like our parents. I was the only one left, so that’s how the pack became mine. Though I don’t mind, this is what I wanted anyway. As I am the one who paid the rogues to do it in the first place. I was a teenager then, and unfortunately, Henry’s parents were a bonus. Now I get to be Alpha with my best friend too.

“What do you suggest?” Henry asked as he calmed his breathing enough to sit back down.

“We could use the rogues’ help,” I stated as I looked straight at him.

My mate decides to speak up at that time, “My daddy could help with that. There is a rogue pack already near the Royal Pack that Daddy has been feeding information to. He can get them to kill Sky and capture…” I growled at her in anger, Bain gaining a front row seat with me.

“HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST THAT? WE WANT SKY BACK ALIVE.” Bain and I screamed at her, she cowered from my tone and nodded in understanding. Good.

“I agree, plus you know I don’t work with rogues.” Henry states calmingly, amusement playing around on his face from the bickering between my new mate and myself. He’s enjoying this.

“Daddy’s here so decide quick.” The she – wolf chanted as she skipped out of my office. What the hell is wrong with that girl? Who invited her dad here anyway? I didn’t off my parents and brother just to deal with my bimbo mate’s parent.

“So, what’s your new mate’s name?” Henry asked with a smirk on his face, having fun with this situation. I looked at him and realized I didn’t know. I didn’t even bother asking her. Mine and my wolf’s mind are solely still on Sky, our first and only mate.

“I have no idea.” I told him as I slowly spaced out, thinking about Sky. How will I get her back? Once I get her out of the Royal Pack, I will lock her in the cells and only allow myself or her brother to visit. I will have her carry my child and then just tell everyone it is this bimbo’s pup. She can be my show and tell Luna for my pack. Perfect.

As soon as Henry calms down his chuckling, he looks at me in amusement, “What are you thinking about?”

“That we may need some rogues’ help to get Sky back and take the Royal Pack down. I also think you may have to play the victim for once. I have a plan.” I told him, as I looked out the window as a man came in view talking to my second chance mate. Time to make them my puppets.
