Saving His Feral Mate -
Chapter 32: I’m going to get the doctor
Tatiana POV
After Sheryl left, I started making my way out of the dinner hall. Sheryl and Kyle’s room was on the same floor as mine, but at the very end of the hall. I knew if I was at least in my room, I would hear Sheryl if she needed help.
“Where are you going?” Knox asked with a frown.
“To my room, I feel a little tired.” I replied. I could see in his eyes that he didn’t believe me, but he didn’t question me any further.
I made my way up the stairs towards my room, when I heard a high pitch scream, followed by a loud thud.
My heart rate picked up and I sprint up the stairs. What if I’m to late? Did Kyle hurt Sheryl?
I finally reached my floor and as soon as the long hallway came into sight, I spotted a small figure curled up on the floor whimpering.
“Sheryl!” I shouted, while running over to her.
“It hurts so bad.” She cried, while clutching her chest.
“What happened?” I asked while kneeling next to her and looking over her body for any injuries. There were no signs of Kyle and his scent wasn’t fresh, making me wonder if maybe something was wrong with her pup.
“M-My heart.” She sobbed but was struggling to talk.
“I’m going to get you help.” I reassured and was about to get up.
“N-No, just h-help me to my b-bed” She panted, while grabbing onto my arm to stop me from leaving her side.
I looked at her with a frown, wondering why she didn’t want me to go and get help, but didn’t argue. I helped her onto her feet and put her arm over my shoulders so that I could support her weight. Her body was trembling and she continued to sob.
Once we reached her room, I opened the door and was relieved to find it empty. I laid Sheryl down on the bed, as she continued to clutch at her chest in pain.
“Sheryl, what’s going on?” I asked, unable to hide the concern in my tone.
“K-Kyle, h-he’s w-with someone e-else.” She said in a broken voice.
My b***d started boiling with pure rage, when I realized what she was saying. Kyle was being unfaithful, causing her a tremendous amount of pain.
“That f*****g a*****e is dead.” I mumbled to myself, but Sheryl heard me.
“H-He hasn’t c-cheating since w-we found o-out I was p-pregnant. H-He knows this c-could make m-me lose t-the b-baby.” She cried out and my eyes went wide when I heard her words. Could she lose the baby because he’s being unfaithful?
“I’m going to get the doctor, I’ll be right back.” I reassure her. She didn’t argue and I ran out of the room and down the hall.
I was so lost in my own thoughts and wasn’t paying attention, that I ran right into a wall. But it wasn’t a wall, I looked up so see that I had actually ran into Knox. He grabbed both my shoulders to steady me.
“What’s wrong?” He asked with a concerned frown when he noticed my panicked state.
“Sheryl. She needs a doctor.” I blurted out.
“Is it the pup?” He asked.
“Yes.” I replied and I saw his eyes glaze over for a minute before they returned to their normal colour.
“The doctors on his way. Let’s go check on her.” Knox said, before we both ran down the hall towards Sheryl’s room.
When we reach the room, I threw the door open and found Sheryl on the floor crawling towards the bathroom. She was still crying and I could tell she was in a lot of pain.
“Sheryl, the doctor’s on his way.” Knox said, while running over and scooping her up in his arms.
“I-I’m going to be s-sick.” She explained with a trembling voice.
Knox brought her into the bathroom and gently put her on the floor in front of the toilet. I pulled her hair out of her face, while she emptied her stomach contents.
She continued to vomit for several minutes, until there was nothing left in her stomach. I glanced over at Knox who was pacing anxiously.
“I tried mind-linking Kyle but he’s blocking me.” Knox finally explained.
“I-I don’t want him h-here.” Sheryl said in a pained voice.
I could tell Knox was about to say something, but stopped when there was a knock at the door. He left the bathroom to answer it and walked back in a minute later with a man in his mid 40’s, wearing a white doctor jacket.
“Dr. Martin, this is Sheryl. She’s two months pregnant.” Knox explained and motioned to towards Sheryl who was curled up in fetal position on the floor.
“Sheryl, can we bring you to the bed so I can examine you? We can bring the garbage can with you incase you’re sick again.” He offered and she simply nodded her head.
Knox came over and picked her up off the ground effortlessly, before carrying her over to the bed. He gently put her down and the doctor started to examine her.
Knox made his way over to where I stood a few feet away from the bed.
“What happened?” He asked in a low voice so only I would hear him.
“Kyle’s cheating.” I gritting out, also keeping my voice low.
“That f*****g a*****e. I’m going to kill him.” Knox seethed, but loud enough that the doctor turned to glare at him.
“Sorry.” Knox apologized and waved a hand at the doctor for him to continue with his examination.
“How could he do this to her?” Knox asked, while running his hand through his hair. I knew he wasn’t expecting me to answer, he seemed legitimately disturbed by what his brother did.
The doctor asked Sheryl a bunch of questions and his examination took about 15 minutes. By the time the doctor was done, Sheryl’s pain seemed to have settled and she looked exhausted.
“I want you on bedrest for a couple of days. The baby seems fine, but that kind of trauma could cause a sudden miscarriage. I’ll be back to check on you tomorrow.” The doctor explained and Sheryl nodded lightly.
“Thank you for coming so quickly, doctor.” Knox said and walked Dr. Martin to the door.
“She’s lucky that she didn’t lose the baby. If this happens again, I doubt she will be as lucky.” The doctor said to Knox when they reached the door. I was standing close enough to overhear their conversation, but was relieved to see that Sheryl had fallen asleep.
“I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again, Doctor.” Knox said angrily and I could tell he was about to lose control.
“Call me if her status changes.” The doctor said and once Knox nodded, he left the room.
“That selfish prick almost killed his unborn pup.” Knox blurted out and his eyes were pitch black, letting me know that his wolf was in control.
I had never seen him this angry. The dangerous aura surrounding him caused a shiver to run down my spine. I’ve only seen the soft, caring and joking side to Knox, this knew side was both impressive and scary. I was glad to see that he was mad, he’s the Alpha of this pack and his own brother intentionally hurt his mate and unborn pup.
“I need you to stay with Sheryl. I’m going to find Kyle.” Knox ordered and I quickly nodded. Knox stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him. I wasn’t scared of him, but I certainly didn’t want to be on his bad side when he was in this state. I was glad that Kyle might actually get a taste of his own medicine.

Alpha Knox POV
The moment I found out that Sheryl’s pain was because of Kyle’s infidelity, I lost control. Gunner took over and he was ready to rip Kyle’s head off his body.
Sheryl almost lost the baby because of him. How could he do that to her and their unborn child? What a selfish prick. I thought to myself.
As soon as the doctor left, I knew what I needed to do. I could see the shocked expression on Tatiana’s face at my anger, but I could also tell she wasn’t afraid of me, which was a relief.
I stormed out of the room and headed to the first floor. I knew exactly where to find Kyle, in Veronica’s room. He use to sleep with her before he met Sheryl and I even had my suspicions that he continued to sleep with her after he was mated. But Sheryl never complained about it, so there was nothing I could do.
I started walking down the first floor hallway when Veronica’s door opened. I watched Kyle k**s Veronica, before turning to leave.
His eyes widened in shock when he saw me approaching, but quickly hid it with a smirk.
“Brother, what brings you here?” He asked smugly.
Before he even knew what was happening, I punched him square in the jaw. He flew backwards and landed on the floor. Veronica shrieked, before going back into her room and slamming the door shut.
I jumped on top of Kyle while he was still dazed from the punch and administered blow after blow to his face. He tried to fight back, but he was no match for my enraged wolf. He managed to get a few punches on me, but it only fuelled my anger.
I stopped when his face was unrecognizable and he was no longer fighting back.
“How could you do that to your mate? Your pup?” I growled, but he didn’t reply. I could tell he was glaring at me, even though both his eyes were practically swollen shut.
‘Jo, I need you on the first floor.’ I mind-link.
‘Can it wait five minutes? Max was just about to…’ Jo replied and I cut him off.
‘Now!!!’ I boomed.
‘Fine.’ He grumbled.
“I don’t know what your problem is? This has nothing to do with you.” Kyle gritted out, while trying to pull his battered body into a sitting position.
I could see the struggle he was having and I felt no pity. I’m actually surprised my wolf didn’t cause him more damage.
“This is my pack, it has everything to do with me. You put two lives at risk because of your stupidity and it won’t happen again.” I growled.
Before he could reply, Jo and Max turned down the hallway and we’re heading in our direction.
“Damn Alpha, did you do that?” Max asked excitedly, while motioning to Kyle’s face. I didn’t answer. I wasn’t about to start bragging about beating the living daylights out of my own brother.
“I didn’t think you had it in you, Alpha. I’m crushing pretty hard right now.” Max continued, causing Jo to growl.
“I want him locked up in a cell.” I ordered.
“You got it.” Jo replied and pulled out a pair of handcuffs from his back pocket and slammed them on Kyle’s wrists, before yanking him to his feet.
“You’ll pay for this. Wait till mom and dad find out what you’ve done.” Kyle spat out, as Jo roughly shoved him down the hall.
“Your face looks so much better like this. I don’t feel the urge to barf when I look at you anymore.” Max taunted Kyle, while following him and Jo down the hall.
“Shut up, you dirty rogue.” Kyle seethed.
“That was a pretty lame come back.” Max replied casually, completely unfazed by his insult.
Once they were out of sight, I let out a heavy sigh. I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do with Kyle. I know my mother and father won’t be happy to hear that I locked him up in the dungeon, but I couldn’t just let him hurt his mate like that. Hopefully this will be an eye opener for Sheryl and she’ll finally leave him.
