Return Of The Prodigy
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 42

After hanging up the phone, Edgar couldn't help but sneer. That lunatic was coming? And he wanted him to personally go to Katie to sign a contract within an hour? He really gave him face. Did he think Goldsand Corp was a soft persimmon to be pinched?

This was the perfect opportunity to get rid of that lunatic once and for all. Make him a eunuch, unable to consummate his marriage with Katie. Just the thought of that lunatic defiling Katie made Edgar furious. "Come over and kneel down for me."

Edgar suddenly shouted, deciding to vent first before calling people. Anyway, even if that lunatic rushed over, it would take at least half an hour. These few minutes wouldn't make a difference.

Next to him, a pair of hot-bodied, tight-skirted beauties, legs wrapped in black stockings, giggled and walked over. Obediently kneeling down in front of Edgar, they began to serve him with both hands and mouths. It was the pair of twins that Peter mentioned earlier.

"Hiss..."

Edgar took a deep breath, savoring the bliss, when suddenly a loud shout came from outside the door: "Mrs. Thatcher, you can't go in. Mr. Edgar worked late last night and hasn't gotten up yet..." Creak!

The office door was pushed open, and a woman in her forties, dressed plainly, with a makeup-free face, walked in. She carried a thermos in her hand and always wore a gentle smile on her face. "Ah, Mr. Edgar... you, you're awake," stammered the secretary.

Edgar trembled, eyes widened. He tried to get up, stood halfway, then abruptly sat back down, looking panicked. "You, why are you here?"

The woman's name was Giselle Thatcher, another owner of Goldsand Corp and Edgar's wife.

Giselle gave Edgar a glance and said gently, "Look at how you scared yourself. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were hiding something behind my back."

"It's just that you worked late last night, and I was worried that you, being of a certain age, might not handle it well. So, I stewed some chicken soup for you to replenish your energy. Come over and have it while it's hot." Edgar's face turned bright red, but he didn't dare to get up. The office desk was blocking the view of the twins hiding underneath. Once he stood up, the secret would be completely exposed.

"Why are you making a fuss? Sending chicken soup from afar. If you really want to send it, let the maid do it; there's no need for you to come."

"Well, I'm still busy. Just leave the chicken soup there; you can go back quickly."

Edgar forced composure, urging Giselle to leave quickly.

Giselle chuckled, "Even if I'm busy, it won't take much time to have this bowl of soup."

"Okay, okay, you're the big boss. Shall I bring it over to you?"

Giselle opened the thermos, took out bowl and chopsticks, and was about to bring the chicken soup over.

Edgar stared with wide eyes, hastily shouted, "Don't come over."

Giselle froze, wondering, "What's wrong?"

Edgar knew he appeared too anxious. He quickly explained, "Uh, it's just... this little matter, let the secretary handle it."

"Why are you still standing there? Useless thing, hurry up and help the boss lady bring it over, and then you personally escort the boss lady home." "Ah ah, okay, okay." The secretary hurried forward.

Giselle frowned slightly and dodged a bit, "No need, I'll do it myself."

As she said that, Giselle briskly walked to the front of the office desk, leaned down for a look.

Edgar quickly slid his chair closer to the desk.

Suddenly...

Bang.

"Ah..."

A muffled sound, a scream.

Giselle's face changed drastically. She put down the chicken soup, hurriedly went around the desk, and took a look. Instantly, her eyes widened in disbelief.
