Return Of The Prodigy -
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 100
Hartleys members turned to look at Matilda.
Matilda turned pale, roaring madly, "It's not me, not me. What nonsense is this?"
"It was clearly Katie being promiscuous on her own, what does it have to do with me?"
Daniel sneered, "Hehe, even now, you dare not admit it? You think that you could do all this behind my back six years ago, and I wouldn't know anything?"
"Fool! I knew everything you did was your doing. I married you just to swallow the Hartleys."
"Love you? Hahaha... I played with you from the beginning. It was you who was cunning, telling me it was a safe period, but you got pregnant with my child. Back then, weren't you trying to steal Katie's husband?"
"You succeeded, and that's why you have what you have today. In these six years, I never loved you for a day, hahaha..."
Matilda screamed like a madwoman, "It's impossible, you're lying. You clearly said you loved me."
"What do I lack compared to Katie? Why does everyone prefer her? Why?"
Daniel sneered, "You still have the nerve to compare yourself to her? What do you have that can match her? You're just a plaything, a harlot! You have no abilities, just tricks! If it weren't for the sake of the Hartleys, a woman like you would be ignored even if thrown on the street!"
Matilda trembled, continuously crying out, "You're talking nonsense... You're talking nonsense... Impossible, why?"
Watching the two who had obviously lost their sanity, the Hartleys members couldn't help but sigh.
It turned out that all of this had been brewing six years ago.
For the past six years, it was Katie who endured all of this, being ridiculed, insulted, and bullied by everyone. No one believed her.
Now, the retribution for Matilda had arrived!
Six years ago, it wasn't Katie who was promiscuous but was drugged by Matilda!
Six years ago, the cancellation of the engagement between the Smiths and Katie wasn't Katie's fault. The mistake lay with Daniel and Matilda, who had colluded at that time and even had a child... Thinking about these six years, the Hartleys members couldn't help but look at Katie.
Katie threw herself into Adam's arms, closing her eyes and weeping bitterly.
Misunderstood for six years, ridiculed for six years, now that the truth had come to light, she finally proved her innocence!
"It's all in the past."
Adam comforted softly, then he looked at the scene before him with cold eyes.
Originally, he had planned to personally reveal the truth about six years ago and give Katie a piece of truth, a piece of innocence. For this, he had long instructed Black Dragon to investigate. However, things happened six years ago, and finding evidence was not easy.
It wasn't until recently that Black Dragon managed to contact the director of the mental hospital six years ago, as well as the driver who was driving at the time and the old man guarding the door... Unfortunately, there was only testimonial evidence, no physical evidence, and no surveillance videos.
But, as fate would have it, Adam didn't expect Daniel to be unable to withstand this series of blows, going crazy and voluntarily exposing this matter.
With this, he saved himself a lot of trouble.
Now that the truth was revealed, all of Daniel's plans for today had been exposed one by one. There was no need for him and Katie to stay here.
"Dad, Mom, Katie, let's go." Adam spoke.
Katie nodded gently, wiping away the tears from the corner of her eyes, holding little Annie's hand, and walking out.
Gemma pulled up Trey, scolding him while following closely.
"Hehe, what a big show. It's not in vain that I came all the way from the provincial capital."
"What's this? This is called reaping what one has sown!"
Fannie sneered, following Adam.
On the hospital bed, Joseph hurriedly called out, "Madam, what about me? What should I do?"
"Boss, boss, we'll push you." A fat and a thin man pushed Joseph onto the ambulance.
At this moment, looking at the Hartleys, it was still brightly lit. The Western orchestra was still in a corner of the lawn, and the chefs with tall hats were still in the kitchen... Various precious wines and side dishes were still laid out on the dining table, but everything had lost its festive atmosphere.
And what was originally a high-profile celebration banquet had lost its meaning for everyone today.
The Hartleys members, one by one, looked at Daniel and Matilda. Sighing faintly, they left successively.
Not long after, the once lively and magnificent Hartleys was left with only a few people and a sense of loneliness.
Supporting himself with a crutch, Dave stood alone like a petrified sculpture.
After a while, Terry spoke, "Dad..."
Dave stared into the night sky, asking, "Did I make a mistake?"
