Chapter 95

Gabi’s POV

The nightmare is over, but I wished Tanner had come with me. I knew he needed to stay to kill Alex, but I still wished he had come back here with me. I was still scared, as even though I was only gone two full days, this experience was still really hard on me.

Luna Liz and Von were both on the front steps when I arrived. I am assuming that Jason told Liz that we were on our way in.

They both hugged me from either side and were crying after seeing me safe and sound. I saw my birth parents, Alpha Wyatt and Luna Everly, come out too, and my mom put her hand over her mouth to keep from crying out at seeing me. I could see that they were absolutely upset as well, and when I was released from Luna Liz and Von, I approached them and hugged them too.

“I am so sorry, Gabi.I am so sorry” Luna Everly kept saying as she cried out in relief that I was back and OK.

“Gabi, we are so sorry for all you went through. We need to take you to the pack hospital to get you fully checked out before Tanner gets here, or we will all be sorry.

He needs to know that you are OK honey, we all do” Alpha Wyatt told me, and I nodded and went with them. Alpha Black followed along behind us with Luna Liz, Von, and Jason to take me to the hospital.

I was checked out and the babies and I were OK. I was just a little dehydrated, so I was put on an IV to raise my fluids and I was given two water bottles as well, as I was really thirsty too.

Luna Everly asked me what I would like to eat for dinner tonight to celebrate my getting to come home. I liked Mexican and Italian, and that is what I told her. I am pretty easygoing with whatever the group feels is best for everyone. I would be glad to eat either of them tonight.

I could hear a commotion in the hallway, and I saw Tanner a minute later. He looked so relieved to see me and came straight to me. He leaned down to give me a tight hug and he took in a deep breath near my neck and he relaxed a little.

“Don’t, Tanner. I smell awful. I haven’t had a bath in the two days since I was taken. They only had a toilet and a sink in there, but no towels, and I didn’t want to take off my clothes to wash up with cameras in the hallway”. Tanner let out a deep growl at my words and I spoke into his ear, “It is OK.

The babies and I are OK. We are safe now. You got us out safely. I am only a little dehydrated. That is why I have an IV. You can shower with me baby when we get to our room. I only have to stay here until the bag is done, so another 30 to 40 minutes and we can go, OK?”

Tanner nodded his head and then dropped down the side of my bed opposite the arm with the IV in it, got in next to me, and then gently pulled me onto him.

I was half sitting and half lying on him, but I was completely happy with being in his arms again. I was able to shut my eyes and take a nap, as I was exhausted from not being able to sleep well and waking up at the drop of a pin, to make sure it wasn’t someone trying to sneak into my cell.

I didn’t even realize that I had fallen asleep until I felt myself being carried and it was a little jarring. I looked up and Tanner smiled down at me and said, “We will go get a shower together and then we will take a nap and come down to dinner at 6. I told everyone, so they all know.

We will then go and visit Taylor after dinner. We are going to carry out her punishment before we leave here tomorrow. I just didn’t want to kill her too soon as I needed to make sure that you were OK first before I dealt with her.

I had already checked and made sure she was still down there, and she was. They even traded for female warriors as she was turning the heads on the male warriors still. We will be in our room in just a little bit”.

“Tanner, put me down when we get to the steps, I am fine, I can walk up the stairs. I am so looking forward to my shower and a nap. I couldn’t sleep worrying about someone trying to come into my room when I fell asleep.

So I didn’t sleep much” Tanner pulled me closer to him and k!ssed the top of my head and told me, “I promise you, Gabi, I will take care of you and our babies better from now on”.

“Tanner, this wasn’t your fault. This was Taylor’s and Alex’s fault for wanting what didn’t belong to them. They are both greedy and bad people and I will be glad when we don’t have to worry about them anymore”, I told him.

We entered the packhouse and I saw my dad standing there talking to Alan and Hudson and I started wiggling to free myself, so I could go over and hug him. Tanner put me down, but he didn’t want to, and I toddled over to my dad with my pregnancy waddle, and he pulled me in a big hug.

I am crying into his shirt and sobbing as I told him, “I love you and I am sorry I didn’t tell you sooner that I consider you to be my father. Being there made me realize that I considered you my dad, and the thought of not being able to see you, Tanner, and Von again was breaking my heart”.

Heath was crying as well, and told me, “I know baby girl, I knew that you loved us both when you said that we didn’t have to come to Crimson Shadow for you to meet your biological parents. We loved you too, and you are alright now.

Hudson and I have taken care of the problem and they will never come to bother you again. I got Alex out front, and Hudson took out his boss in the backyard.

They are gone, and cannot hurt you anymore. You are safe with us now. Von and I love you too, baby girl, and have considered you to be ours for months now. We already knew you loved us, but hearing you call me your father is the best gift I have ever received”.

I heard sobbing behind us and turned a little to see Von standing there, and we welcomed her into our group hug. I am so glad that everyone was OK, and that there were no lives lost on our end with them having to come and rescue me.

I can at least breathe easier knowing that. I told them both that I was going to go get shower and take a nap with Tanner as I hadn’t been sleeping well the last two days. I also told them that we would be downstairs at 6 for dinner.

Alicia came running up to hug me and Tanner as she had been in her room waiting for us to come back. She wasn’t allowed to participate in the rescue or the meeting and I know she was frustrated about that.

After she let me go, I saw her stiffen up and sniff the air, and I was interested to know who was coming our way, and I didn’t have to wait long. Anthony came out of the dining room moving quickly and stopped on a dime when he saw Alicia.

They both went towards each other, and she jumped into his arms. Anthony spun her around in a circle and growled “Mine” loudly to anyone near them for them all to know that she was off the market.

Alicia nodded at him and said, “Yours” and tipped her head up for a k!ss the second her feet hit the floor.

Tanner took a step forward, and I grabbed his wrist and shook my head for him to leave them alone. Anthony is a good man, and he will be a great mate for Alicia.

Anthony deserved to have a great mate, as he had been through so much. Alicia had been praying for her mate and wondering where he was and now her prayers had been answered.

They walked back into the dining room, arm in arm, smiling at each other, and Tanner looked at me and we both had to laugh, as that was really quick.

We were both surprised, but we were happy for them. I know Aria and Dawson will be happy to hear about this good news.

Tanner runs into the dining room and grabs a plate, gets some food, and then places another plate on top of it, to cover it. He then grabs two sodas and comes to get me again and we go up to our room.

I am exhausted, and Tanner is only too happy to help me out of my clothes for me to take a shower. Tanner turns me around looking for marks on me and turns me around fully, twice, before he is satisfied that I am actually OK.

I don’t have a change of clothes, but I can always ask for mine to be washed, even though I would rather have them burned. They would always remind me of being taken and separated from my family for 2 days, just by seeing them again.

Tanner then starts the water and grabs some stuff for the shower. I just watch him move quickly around the room, working silently while he gets exactly what he wants on the rail in the shower and then tests the water until it is perfect. He leads me over to the shower and holds the door for me.

He then stripped down quickly and got in right behind me. Tanner pulls me to him and just stands there with us under the spray and holds me to him with his chin on the top of my head.

I could stand here like this forever. There is just peace now, as the stress from before gets washed away from us like the water is carrying it away as it runs down our bodies.

Tanner gets to work, and he washes my hair and I have to admit it felt great as he ran his fingers through my hair and on my scalp. It was so relaxing, he then rinsed my hair and then put conditioner on it for me, and piled my hair on top of my head.

Tanner then uses the new pretty teal loofah that he had found in the cabinet on my body, making small circles and getting me clean. He was really focused on my protruding stomach and started speaking to the babies while he rubbed the body wash on my stomach as he was on his knees in front of me.

Even though it had only been two days, they started kicking as soon as they heard his voice speaking to them. I grabbed his hands and put them where the kicking was and let him feel it with me. The babies knew that daddy had gotten mommy back, and they were excited too.

They probably missed the nightly talk that daddy made for them each night, and I had missed it as well. Tanner smiled up at me, happy to feel our babies so excited to hear his voice.

fAll is right in our world again, now that we are together. We just have to deal with a few more bumps in the road, but we will be taking the biggest bump, out first.
