Rejected, but not Broken
Chapter 94

Tanner’s POV

We have been set up now for 24 hours. I saw the a*****e myself leaving yesterday afternoon and looking very smug and happy. I am so happy that Alpha Heath knows people, as Gerald has been completely Goddess sent.

We know that 8 people are in the building, including Alex. We know that 6 of them stay on the upper 2 floors and that one person who barely registers on the infrared is in the basement area and appears to be laying down right now.

We know where she is, we just need to be able to get in there while Alex is out of the building, and then let him come back and us catch him that way. It looks like he enjoys going to visit Gabi, and that is making me really uncomfortable.

He is probably just like Taylor and is obsessed himself. In a way it is good, he won’t hurt her until she refuses him, but he won’t want me to get her back so he might kill her to keep that from happening. I cannot allow that. He spent an hour with her eating his dinner last night.

Gerald has already found that Bill Andrews guy, and after us looking into him, he has a LOT of money and no real reason for it. He is not working, he didn’t get an inheritance, he stays at his home most of the time, and it is a nice house, with a lot of security.

I guess in his line of work he knows it only takes a minute for something bad to happen and he doesn’t want it to happen to him, so he has a nice wall around his compound and armed security inside it.

We only have two options; one is for us to catch him when he goes out. We will have a slim window for it, with little prep time, as we won’t know he is leaving until he does.

The second option is for either Alpha Heath or Hudson to set up and take him out at home. There is no other way to take him out. He is really secure, and he hasn’t left in the 20 hours since we found him.

Gerald has reached out and called in favors from several friends, who are not ones you would want to cross, to see if there was any way that we could lure him out of that stupid compound.

Alpha Heath and Hudson were both of the opinions that it will probably fall on them to get it done, and they were both OK with setting up to cover both the front and the back of the house to take him out.

He has a really nice oasis in his backyard, hot tub, and giant pool, we have seen a couple of girls in there, but it looks like they are all good with being there and not being held against their will.

They both know who they are looking for and are set up now in trees, waiting for him to step out to either leave or go swim with his lady friends.

I wished them well, and Alan and Easton are there too, as a backup if it goes south. Alan and Easton weren’t the best shots on the team, but they were still really good. They would be taking out anyone who came shooting at Heath and Hudson and they were also in a tree near the person they were backing up.

Jameson was with us at the warehouse, along with Anthony, Justin, Derek, Jason, Gavin, Gerald, my father, and me. Alpha Black would be staying in the other vehicle monitoring the situation, as he could call in the right kind of reinforcements for us.

We all had earpieces that Gerald had gotten for us so we could hear and communicate with each other, and Alpha Black had one too so he could hear what we were relaying.

We also had bulletproof vests on under our t-shirts just in case, and Gerald was fairly certain that they would be armed. Alpha Black had 7 warriors in the RV with him and 6 of them would be going in with us, the last one would be staying with Alpha Black, just in case.

There were the best shots in the Black Night pack, and we will probably need them. I am glad that Jameson was with us, he was a silent killer and could have half of them taken out before any of them knew what was happening.

Alpha Heath wanted to be here, but he knows that we will get it done, and I know to let him know the moment we get her to safety. He will be waiting on us to tell him after we breach the building.

I pray to the Goddess again, for us to be successful and remind her of all that Gabi has had to go through and put up with. I am almost physically sick with worry over Gabi.

I hate Alex and I want to kill him with my bare hands. I will be killing him if he touched my sweet Gabi. It will be the end of him. I swear it, she has had such a hard life and I promise you if we can get free of this, I will make sure she is safe for the rest of her life. Because I cannot imagine my life without her.

I see the door open, and that a*****e comes out and he is even cockier today. I don’t know why he is in such a good mood, but if it had to do with anything having to do with hurting my mate, I will kill him slowly.

We have two cars parked on the main street behind the warehouses and we told them that he was coming out now in a black Mercedes sedan and gave them the tag number.

They knew to hang back and see where he was going. We needed time to get Gabi out, and him not being here helped a lot.

Gerald was going to pick the lock for us to get in and the 6 warriors would be behind him as they were armed. Jameson would be behind them, and they had been instructed that if an alarm didn’t go off when we entered, to let Jameson take the men out.

He would be silent as he had his Sai’s and would just be cutting their throats as he went, and they were just there to watch his 6, and protect him. Three men would be staying behind with our van and I decided that it would be Derek, Gavin, and my dad.

I guess I still had a little bit of a conflict with Derek from his seemingly never-ending affection for Gabi, but I believe that it was done now that he had his second chance mate. But with how I was feeling at this time, if he made the wrong move towards her, even innocently, I might hurt him really badly, and I didn’t want to do that. I just needed my Gabi back.

He smiled at me, and I think he understood now that he was fully mated too. He knows how I am feeling, and that I would just need her in my arms and smell her neck to calm me down. I really appreciate that he came, and not just sent Anthony and Justin to help us. I liked and trusted both of them, so it was really great to have them here on the team.

We entered the building and knew we had to take out 6 men and I hoped that this would go smoothly. I prayed to the Goddess again as Gerald opened the door that Alex had exited, and we enter as quietly as we could.

There was no alarm sounding, and we didn’t see any cameras in the hallways as we followed Jameson down the hallway and towards the room that we had seen the men in. With the satellite imaging, we knew where we needed to go to get the men taken care of.

Justin, Anthony, and I started down the stairs to the bottom floor but waited three minutes for Jameson to call “All clear” before we stepped into the hallway for the cameras to see us.

We knew they had cameras on the cell floor as while they were in the monitor room, to take out the first three, they could see where the cameras were, and we didn’t know where the next set of men was at until Alpha Black looked at the live scan and said that they were in the kitchen area.

So far it has gone smoothly. I see a set of keys on a holder at the end of the hallway and pray that one of them fits her door, as I want to get her out of here and safely somewhere else before Alex returns.

There were a total of 8 cells, and they were not numbered, there were four cells on either side, facing each other, so they could keep up to 8 people, or more if needed, here at a time.

I get to her room, and I see her laying on the bed with her back to me, and I can feel her stress all around me and I growl out in anger at her being locked up like this. Gabi turns around at my growl and starts crying as soon as she sees me at the cell bars.

I can only focus on her, so Anthony takes the keys from me and starts trying them while Justin pats me on the shoulder and goes to the bottom of the stairwell, and watches for anyone to be coming down.

We are holding hands through the area to pass a tray through, but it is not enough, and I start low growling in my frustration.

“Give me a minute, these keys so far aren’t working, and they are not marked. There are 8 cells down here, and I may have to go through all of them to find the right one” Anthony said, and I stopped my growling because he is right, and he is helping Gabi and me, so I stop and said, “Thank you, Anthony. I am sorry. I just need to get her back in my arms”.

I am elated to see that she is still pregnant, and I hate to even ask, but I need to know as her answers let me know if I will kill Alex slowly, or quickly. “Baby, are you OK? Alex did hurt you did her? Did he do anything to you?” I asked her.

“No, he didn’t hurt or touch me yet. But if you hadn’t found me he would have after I gave birth. He decided he wanted to keep me, to bear his pups, or if I didn’t agree with that, he was going to mate me out to other Alpha’s who needed an heir for their pack.

He was trying to encourage me to agree to be his. I am so glad that you found me. I didn’t want you to feel that betrayal when he would have drugged me to get it done. I would rather die than live like that” Gabi told me.

“Heath and Hudson are taking out the man above Alex right now, that is why they aren’t here, we split into teams to take them both out. It won’t stop the problem, but we will have slowed it down today by taking out two big snakes in the system.

But as there is a lot of money to be made; I am sure other nasty people will take their place. It is disgusting what people do to one another” I told her, and she nodded in agreement.

We heard the lock give, and Anthony swings the door open to free Gabi. I have to hug her real quick and then I lead and let Justin and Anthony follow behind her as we go to the exit. I notify the team that we are coming up and they go to the exit to leave with us.

We get Gabi safely into the RV with Alpha Black who hugs her tightly too, Gabi gets into the RV with Alpha Black and the 6 warriors that had gone with us. I also sent Jason, Justin, and Anthony to go back with her to Crimson Shadow to stay with her until I get back.

The rest of us get back into the other RV and wait for Alex to come back. We will catch him outside the warehouse, but just in case he runs into the warehouse, Jameson and Derek were waiting right inside the locked door of the warehouse.

We would notify them when Alex returns. I had notified Alpha Heath that we got Gabi and that she was OK, and that we were waiting for Alex to return.

Alpha Heath told me, “Don’t worry about Alex, son. He arrived here a short time ago to meet with the guy we are watching. He won’t be leaving here ever again alive. We will take them both out before we leave. You can pack up and leave now if you want to”.

I advised Jameson and Derek of what Alpha Heath said and Jameson told me to wait just a few minutes for them. Jameson and Derek exited about 4 minutes later, with smiles on their faces, and got into the RV and we headed back to Crimson Shadow.

I cannot wait to get back to Gabi and check her all the way out so I can make sure that she is totally OK. Jameson looked over at me and told me that he had to take care of the surveillance system so our faces wouldn’t be all over the news looking for us.

He deleted the recordings, which took a minute, and then he set fire to the room where the DVR that was holding the recordings was.

The whole room was set up with sprinklers, instead of a fire suppression system that uses gas instead of water to put the fire out, so the DVR that held the data would also be damaged beyond repair with the water destroying it.

I smiled at him and said, “Good job, Jameson. That was great thinking on your part”.

We arrived at Crimson Shadow, twenty minutes later and I can hardly wait to find Gabi and make absolutely sure that she was OK. I had already called Alpha Wyatt right when she left the warehouse on her way here, to tell him that Gabi was OK and on her way with Alpha Black.

Alpha Wyatt and Luna Everly said that they would be getting their pack doctor to come and check on her and make her as comfortable as they could.

That was thirty minutes ago, so when I get to her, she should be completely checked out by the doctor. I need to know that both Gabi and my babies are OK.
