Chapter 81

Gabi’s POV

I put my arm back to motion Anthony, James, and Marie in, and I see it the moment it happens. Marie comes gliding up and into Derek’s arms as if that was the best place in the world for her to be.

I see pure happiness in Derek’s eyes, and I heard Anthony start growling loudly. I smacked him in the upper arm and point to them and they are completely smitten with each other.

I smile at them both and I am so glad this turned out how it did. Derek had changed, and for the better, and the Goddess blessed him for it.

I pray that this is the start of a wonderful large new pack for Derek. Anthony rubs his arm like I hurt him and then smiled at me. He sees it too, and he sees that Derek has accepted her, immediately.

“You know Derek, you have already spent the money, how about we go ahead and have the Luna celebration Saturday, with you announcing Marie as your mate? I can help her go get a dress in town, you might as well, the full moon will be perfect for it” I told them, and Derek and Marie nod happily at my suggestion.

We took the next day off from training, as the threat had gone away, and now it was just regular training for the two packs. We also drove to Ever Green as Luna Liz had come out of her coma early today. It is Thursday and Derek wanted to introduce his mother to his Goddess-given Luna.

Luna Liz immediately took to Marie, and absolutely loved her and was telling her about how she will train Marie herself to be able to handle both packs, and that she was going to give Derek, some of her money to help the packs get stronger as well.

Luna Liz had discovered the money funnel that Alpha Monty had set up, and he had attacked her after she had confronted him with it, the rogues coming in, was just a coincidence, Alpha Monty just wanted to use it as a cover.

The additional people coming into our packs were going to help make everyone stronger as Derek took 100 people, Tanner took 100 people and Heath took in the other 48 into his pack. Stone stayed with us as he wanted to train with us and spend some time with me, but Taylor got asked to leave Red River and never return.

Tanner and I would be taking Stone back with us and dropping him off on the way home. Wyatt and Everly were OK with it and asked if we would mind spending the night when we dropped Stone off. I let Tanner decide and he agree to it, but He wanted a special lock on the door to our room, to make sure that Taylor could not enter our room.

Jason had stayed with Luna Liz since she was picked up on Monday morning and taken to Ever Green, and they seemed to have formed a bond. It was clear that they had a connection to anyone who looked at them. Luna Liz told us that she was planning on going down to the cells as soon as she was strong enough, to reject Alpha Monty.

She spoke to the same two members of the Werewolf Council, Jeremiah Folkes, and Alaric Rhodes and she was videoed giving her statement about how Alpha Monty had come and attacked her in her office and tried to kill her over her finding the funnel Monty had created to skim funds off the pack’s bank accounts. If she hadn’t screamed out and Justin hadn’t responded so quickly, as well as stopping the b***d flow so well, she would have died.

Luna Liz got stronger very quickly now that the Wolfsbane was completely out of her system. So, she was able to come Saturday morning to attend the Luna ceremony for Derek and Marie. She had Jason help her down to the cells on Friday, so she could give her rejection to Monty.

Ever since she rejected Monty, she and Jason have been all over each other. Since Monty wasn’t there to do it, Heath stepped in and performed the Luna ceremony for Derek and Marie, and they were official. It was a beautiful ceremony, and I was really happy for them.

Anthony was made Beta for the River Bed pack and was back at home with the rest of his extended family. The packhouse that was being built in the middle of the two packs was almost complete now and Derek and Marie would live there and raise their pups.

Some of the new people who were in the pack would be there as well, as they had plenty of room for all, now that they had the three packhouses.

Justin would be staying at Red River to be the Beta there and he had found his mate in one of the newcomers, a cute little 5’5” blonde with large blue eyes and a very curvy figure. Justin was already completely wrapped around her finger.

Her name was Anita, and she was a sweet girl, I really liked her, and I was so glad that Justin had found her.

Luna Liz got the same makeup artist from Taylor’s birthday party to come and do our hair and makeup again, and Marie looked like a living doll for her special night. I saw when we all came out of the room we were getting made up in, our men were all very appreciative of how we looked and immediately came to claim us as we walked out one by one from the room we used to get ready in. I saw Jason pick up Liz into a tight hug, and give her butt a nice smack.

I believe Liz has found her second chance mate. I know that Vera and Wells Black were both OK with them being together, as they were firm believers in true mates, and Jason had never found his, and now we knew why she was with Monty. I have NEVER seen her happier.

I wore a little black dress, and strappy black shoes and Tanner couldn’t take his eyes off of me. I felt gorgeous with how he stared at me, making me blush.

I had her leave my hair down, as it was always up in a ponytail, and the gentle waves it made going down my back looked great. I could feel his hand on my lower back playing with my curls all night.

Liz said that after she trains Marie, she and Jason were going to return to Black Night and Jason would be the next Alpha, with Liz being the Luna.

I am so happy for them and with the way they are acting, I wouldn’t be surprised if Derek ended up with a brother, or a sister, that were the same age as the baby that I knew that he and Marie would be having. Jason is 32 and 10 years younger than Liz is, but they are so cute together.

Heather found her mate when the refugees came, and she made a complete turnaround. She is not the same person she was, and I am glad that she found her mate, but I worry about him being able to handle her.

I thought she was putting up a front, but after being around them both, I can see she loves him and wants to be with him, and I left it alone. Obviously, the Goddess put them together.

Hudson, Alan, and Jameson were all disappointed that they didn’t find their mates at Red River, but we had the last 48 come to Ever Green. The single people came to our pack, and I think the guys may luck out and eventually find their mates.

I mean it was 27 women and 21 men that we got for Ever Green, so the guys have a good chance at finding their mates when we get back to Ever Green from the training.

The families had stayed together by going into Derek’s and Tanner’s Packs, and Tanner had even rented two buses to take our refugees there so they could rest before they got there, and we didn’t have to do 20 trips to transport everyone.

I told the guys, that if they didn’t find their mates at Ever Green, they could always come and visit me at B***d Rose and take a look around there for them.

Tanner was doting on me after I had been returned to him. I remember that Wednesday night clearly because after he had bathed me and dried me, he had wrapped his arms around me in bed and pulled me to him, sniffing my neck.

I could feel the tears coming from his eyes as he held me, and I could feel how upset he was. I turned towards him and cupped his cheek and k!ssed his l!ps gently and told him, “I am OK baby, I am here, what is wrong?”

“I couldn’t stop thinking about what they could be doing to you, and I was scared. I was scared for you, and for our pups. You could be pregnant, and I was so worried about you and our pups. I don’t know why, but I was just convinced that you were pregnant, Gabi” Tanner told me.

I didn’t feel different, but I guess it couldn’t hurt to go get checked out. I made a doctor’s appointment for the next Friday as that was the earliest that I could get in and Tanner went with me. I pee’d on a stick and they drew b***d from me.

We waited about 20 minutes and the doctor came back in. The stick didn’t have a positive, but the b***d test, which is what they were waiting on, did have a positive.

I am stunned and Tanner is overjoyed. He knew it and I didn’t. The doctor told me that I am basically at 2 weeks now, so it was still early in my pregnancy and in another week, they would do an ultrasound to see how many pups we were going to have.

She told me that I can still do everything that I did before, just to not be too aggressive, as she knew I was one of the trainers. I couldn’t wait to tell my teammates, and I was so glad that Von was here at Red River, visiting Liz and Heath, so we could tell them all together.

That night at dinner Tanner could not stop smiling, like an i***t. I kept bumping against him to get him to stop, but he wouldn’t. He couldn’t wait for me to tell my parents and then he was going to tell his.

Everyone kept glancing over at Tanner, but he didn’t say anything, he just kept grinning because he was so happy. Finally, Heath looked at him and said, “What the hell is wrong with you?

What is up with that weird smile?”. I started smiling too and Tanner yelled out, “Gabi and I are pregnant”. The table erupted in cheers and von and Liz started crying for me.

Heath and Von hugged each other and Heath said, “We are going to be grandparents”. Von was on her phone 5 minutes later and ordering two cribs. I saw her and was like, “We don’t know how many pups we will have yet, you should wait, we will know next week. It could only be one”.

Von told me without even looking up, “Don’t take this from me, baby girl. But I think it will be at least two and maybe even three. Tanner is strong and you are the daughter of an Alpha, you two were meant to produce strong babies. I can always order another crib if it is three.

I am so excited” and then hugged me again. After dinner, we went upstairs to our room and Tanner ended up facetiming his parents so he could tell them the good news. They mindlinked his brother and sister so they were all present.

His dad saw his smile and already knew because he reached out and grabbed his wife’s hand in excitement. When Tanner told them, they were just as happy for us as Heath and Von had been. I am so glad we have great parents who are so happy about our growing family.

Aria said to me, “We need to get your Luna ceremony done, the next full moon is in two weeks, on the last Saturday of August. Is that OK with you Gabi?”

“Sure, I am totally OK with that. We will be back home three days before that, as the training will be complete then. Pick whatever you like, I don’t know the people there that well, to know what you usually eat yet. I am easygoing with food; I can always find something I like. I can order a dress online” I told them.

Alicia is jumping up and down and said, “No, mom and I will take you shopping, this is a big deal, and you need a nice dress” I smiled at her and said, “Sure, we will all go shopping when we get back”.

We fall asleep and I dream of three babies like Von had mentioned and I am overwhelmed, even in my sleep. I hope it is only two. Tanner wraps his arms around me and pulls me into him and I start to sleep peacefully. I know that together we can handle however many we end up having.
