Chapter 80

Tanner’s POV

The stupid son of a b!tch. He started shooting, even without knowing what it would cost him. We have his daughter, and I think he would rather die than go to prison. I hope that Hudson can get him. I can’t believe that none of his people have given up yet, they must be as crazy as he is.

The werewolf council is here and we have video of them arriving, and they still don’t want to give up. I see about ten men come out of the woods, and they are from the River Bed pack, and we get them in the gate quickly so Alpha Lowell cannot shoot them. We put them against the wall with Piper and I see Derek further up the wall and looking worried.

I bet finding out the ditzy slut you thought you had was a stone-cold killer, was a really nasty surprise. I am still in my position where I am hidden by the dark and I am keeping an eye out for Gabi.

I see another shot come from the second tree to my right, about 35 feet up it. I know it was Alpha Lowell because it took out a tire on the SUV they were in, and I know it was to keep it from entering the compound.

I mindlink both Hudson and Heath and told them where I saw the shot come from, and that I think it was Alpha Lowell. Heath links us back. “I am going to make him fire again Hudson.

You need to watch where the fire comes from, that high up he can’t be moving around a lot, he will have to stay where he is, just remember he is using a rifle, so aim about 3 and a half feet back from where you see the flash.

I believe that if we take him down, I know it will be hard Hudson, but even if he gets killed, we are still good. I hope it just hurts him and he falls, the branches will slow him down and maybe Gabi can keep him down, if he has the gun still with him, or Hudson can get the second shot, right now I am mad that he is still forcing his people to follow his orders, he directly disobeyed a direct order from the werewolf council, and I think that he wants me to take out his daughter.

But I won’t, I want the whole family to pay for all the pain they caused innocent people and all of the deaths are on them, as well. They all need to pay and having their comfortable lives taken from them, would be the best punishment for them, they WOULD actually rather die”.

I heard Heath call out into the darkness, “Alpha Lowell, you are absolutely, without a doubt, the worst Alpha I have ever met. You are taking this huge risk, and bear in mind that I won’t be killing Piper. I believe the rest of her life spent in prison with her mom would be the best thing for her.

No more help, or Omegas to do the hard work, no more hair appointments, or shopping, just go old-fashioned manual labor, day in, and day out. I think that would be the VERY best thing for someone that I happen to know is a spoiled brat”.

We are all watching that tree when two more shots ring out from the tree and hit the SUV. I heard the crying get louder and I know that the rogue Alpha’s little sister is in there, and I know she must be terrified of what has happened. I heard two shots ring out loudly from behind me and I pray that Hudson has connected with Alpha Lowell.

We hear a scream and then a lot of noise coming from the tree. We all saw Alpha Lowell lying on the ground, not moving right now. I mindlinked Gabi where he was, and I saw her head come up to look to see if he was still armed. I can’t see if she had a gun either, but I hear him gr0aning in pain on the ground. I can see his rifle about 8 feet from him, but we are all wondering if he has a handgun.

He cannot be trusted, and we know this, so Heath called out again. “Alpha Lowell, give up now and free your pack members. Take off your Alpha Command from them. We don’t need any lives lost here.

You know that we are still covering you, and we will not be killing you, no matter what you do. You will be taken in, and the longer you keep this going, the worst your sentence will be. If any lives are lost while you have your people under your Alpha Command, their innocent and unneeded deaths WILL be added to your time, you need to stop this stupid and fruitless endeavor.

You have lost, it is done, and you lost your pack on top of it. I read the contract your pack belongs to Derek now. I know you had a different vision, but apparently, you and Piper couldn’t get the job done. Go ahead and give up”, Heath finishes, and we all hear a loud growl coming from the ground and we see Alpha Lowell getting up from the ground.

“Hudson don’t let him get to the SUV, shoot him in the leg to keep him down. I won’t let him get to Gabi or the rogue Alpha, I don’t want him to hurt anyone else” Heath Links the whole team and we all watch with bated breath as we watch Alpha Lowell take a handgun from his bulletproof vest and start walking slowly to the SUV. A shot rings out and we watch the bullet tear through Alpha Lowell’s th!gh.

Alpha Lowell screams out in pain and frustration, and the gun goes flying through the air, landing about 20 feet away. Gabi kicks her door open and comes out of the SUV and puts Alpha Lowell in an anaconda chokehold, and keeps the hold until he passes out. She did not release him until his pack members started pouring out of the woods.

Now that his Alpha command has been taken away because he passed out, they have control of what they are doing. We all heard Piper scream out in fury that they had been beaten, as she really thought that her dad was going to be successful in getting them either killed, or killing Gabi and Anthony, and neither was accomplished.

All of the River Bed pack is accounted for now and they were allowed to go back to their pack, with 50 members of Black Night and Council Member Alaric Rhodes, to get Luna Lowell for her to be also be taken into custody.

Alpha Lowell was already handcuffed and on the way to the hospital for his leg to be treated and checked for any further injuries. The other member of the werewolf council, Jeremiah Folkes, went with him, as they were going to get an SUV to transport all three of them to the cells at Ever Green to wait for their trial. Gabi helped Marie out of the vehicle and Anthony and James were walking up to the gate with them.

I ran to Gabi and hugged her and took a deep sniff off of her neck. Piper tried to run away while we were distracted, and was caught and brought back to us so Anthony could get his rejection in.

“I, Anthony Johnson, former Omega of the River Bed pack, and currently the rogue Alpha, accept the rejection of Piper Lowell, daughter of Alpha Lowell of the River Bed Pack,” Anthony said to her, and she cried out as she fell to the ground. Anthony looks like a great weight has been taken off of him.

“I am finally free of her. I swear her and Derek having s*x every day was killing me”, Anthony told us. Derek was near us and walked up and said to us “Are you sure because I don’t have s*x with Piper every day. I have only slept with her once in the last 6 weeks”.

“No, I am sure, that kind of pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone. It is terrible and I cannot even describe the amount of pain that it puts you in” Anthony tells us. “Who the hell was she sleeping with then?”

Derek calls out and we see Jack walking backward away from us, and then turning to run as Derek yells out, “I Alpha command you to stop Jack Walker, and answer my questions truthfully”. Jack stops and turns back toward us and nods that he will answer the questions.

“Have you been sleeping with Piper Lowell, our soon-to-be Luna?” Derek asked him. Yes, she reminded me of Gabi, and she said that you refused to sleep with her anymore since the birthday party you two went to in July. She had needs and, from behind, she looked like Gabi.

She came on to me, Derek. She came on to me”, Jack tells Derek and holds his hands up like he is asking forgiveness from Derek. I started growling at Jack’s comparison to Piper having similarities to Gabi in his explanation.

“I am sorry Derek, it was all her idea, and I couldn’t resist her, she was ready to go, and I am not an j****t,” Jack said to Derek, and he is just digging a deeper hole.

“I do not care for her, I just didn’t know that she was doing that, it explains where she was when she would be MIA, and we couldn’t find her. I am glad to be rid of her truthfully, but you have betrayed me, Jack? How can I trust you around any of the women here? I remember what you tried to do to Gabi”, Derek said. I growled out again, remembering what Jack had done.

I pull Gabi into my chest, and I am reminded that Gabi needs to accept Derek’s rejection with her correct name, and I called Stone over to us.

“Gabi, Derek is still bound to you because you have to accept his rejection with your birth name and pack, you have to do it again, it is for his own good, to see if he has a second chance mate, as you are not his anymore,” I told Gabi.

“Stone, please tell Gabi what her birth name was, so she can accept his rejection and be free of Derek,” I asked him.

“Gabi, you were born Camila Renee Wilson, and you will have to use our pack, the Crimson Shadow Pack, to reject Derek. That is why he is still so connected to you because you were not born Gabrielle Emerson,” Stone tells Gabi quietly. I looked at them both and that does explain a lot of why he was still after Gabi, and I walked over towards Derek with Gabi.

Derek looked up at Gabi hopefully, and I guess he thought that now that Piper was gone, Gabi would come back to him. But she is marked and fully mated with me, not Derek.

“Derek Stryker, I, Camila Renee Wilson of the Crimson Shadow pack accept your rejection,” Gabi told him quietly and the hurt crossing his face was painful. I saw that the bond was still there, not as strong as it had been when he rejected her, but it was still there.

Gabi is completely free now.I am glad that Derek can move on with his life and I pray that Luna Liz will be feeling better and come out of her coma soon. She has gotten better every day, but she had been loaded up with Wolfsbane and her wolf was having to fight every day. I wrap my arms around Gabi from behind and I lean in to sniff her neck.

“Derek, I would like you and me to find a place to live for all of Anthony’s people. Gabi said that they are all living in tents right now and they need our help.

They need a forever place to live, and I think that I can help you with getting your pack better set up for you to be able to run both your packs.

Help with getting people assigned to their jobs and paying the Omegas as we do at B***d Rose. I can see about Heath taking some, but I think that if we all took some people, we can get them all taken care of” I said to him.

Derek still is upset with Gabi for having fully rejected him and you can see it in his face. I hope he is listening to what I have to say, I think I can get his pack straight for him if he will just listen to me and follow my instructions.
