Chapter 66

Gabi’s POV

I was minding my own business when my tray was slapped out of my hands and onto the floor. Piper was the one who has spoken to me and had knocked the tray down. I can see the jealousy in her eyes and then she got even more stupid and called me an Omega.

I am Taylor’s sister, although I would never admit that to anyone, as I don’t claim her, I am from the same Alpha b***d. Before I can decide what, if anything, I want to do with this situation, I see the smile gone from all of their faces and I already know I have five angry, and large, men standing behind me.

“I am sorry, who are you talking to?” Alan said from behind me in a deep voice, and I know his wolf is going to come out. Since we repaired the misunderstanding that had occurred, Alan has been my biggest supporter, as he was really upset that he had been lied to, and he has seen my character.

“Yes, please continue, as we are all interested in what you have to say next” Tanner tells her and from how deep his voice is, I know Rafe is about to make an appearance. I reached out my hand and grab his hand to calm him, and I see the jealousy flare up in all three girl’s eyes.

Taylor’s mouth is pressed into a thin line, and I know she is itching to say something, but know better right now.

“I think you need to think long and hard about the next comment you are about to say,” Easton said to them from my left side.

“I agree, please think before you speak the next time, but we are all waiting on you to clarify who you were speaking to and why you would call Gabi an Omega. She is not, and I would also tell you three that she would NOT need any of us, to finish all three of you, and in a very quick manner.

Your treatment of her is unacceptable, and we can all leave right now if our team being here offends you so much” Jameson tells them in his calm manner, and everyone nods in agreement.

“I agree, we can leave you to the rogues, you three have no redemption in you and are ugly to your core,” Hudson tells them and steps forward with anger in his eyes.

“I told you two, she is sleeping with the whole team,” Taylor tells them in a loud tone with an ugly smirk on her face. She deliberately spoke loudly to draw the others in the dining room into the conversation

“I can assure you three, that despite you girls wanting to make her look bad, she regards us as brothers, and she is our little sister.

You girls making these kinds of disgusting assumptions speaks to your character, not Gabi’s” Alan tells them in a loud tone as well and Piper was the only one to flush in embarrassment.

“I can speak to her character, as she is my mate. She waited for me, and I wish to the Goddess that I had waited for her. You three girls are vicious and ugly, and I cannot wait for your outside to match your inside.

That way everyone who sees you knows how venomous, nasty, and jealous you girls are. I am disgusted by your behavior, and I really pity your mates. Thankfully Taylor’s managed to get away from her just today” Tanner said, and a little smile came up on my face before I could tamper it down.

I heard a low laugh come from Easton and Hudson, but Jameson and Alan are both watchful for anyone to want to throw in with the girls. I see Derek making his way over and stepping in between us, telling the people in the dining room to continue eating.

“We can take this to my office,” Derek said and motioned to me and Piper to go ahead of him. Taylor and Heather also come and all five of the guys stay with me. We get inside the office and Derek was surprised by the number of people present.

“I was just going to speak to Gabi and Piper about what happened,” Derek said.

“You chosen mate knocked my mate’s tray out of her hands and onto the floor and then told her to wait in the kitchen and she could have scraps later.

There, you are caught up” Tanner tells him and then folds his arms across his chest, in a defensive manner. I ran my hand up to his bicep and he lets his crossed arms go and he grabs my hand and gives it a squeeze.

“Why would you slap the tray out of her hand Piper? Gabi has never done anything to you” Derek asks Piper “Heather said to me that Gabi was an Omega, and Taylor agreed, and they both said that she shouldn’t be allowed to eat in the dining room with the rest of us,” Piper said and then at both girls to back her up, and it was radio silent in the room.

“Heather, did you say that to Piper?” Derek asked her.

“Yes, kind of. Gabi WAS an Omega, and she shouldn’t be out here, even if she got lucky and got an Alpha for a mate. Taylor was the one who said she was sleeping with the whole team, and that was how she earned her position”

Heather throws Taylor under the bus, and I guess I don’t have anything to say. They will tell on each other, and it will get straightened out.

“You saw them all hop up to defend her, it is obvious that she had to sleep with them to get on the team. I mean she was an Omega just 5 months ago with no training at all, and no wolf present either, now we are all supposed to believe that she knows what she is doing, please, I just cannot believe that load of st. I have been training for years, and I know I can take her” Heather tells the group.

Taylor nods and says to the group, “I had heard it too. One of my friends told her that they got kicked out of the Ever Green pack for no reason because Gabi told lies and then slept with Alan to get on the team”.

“Who was your friend Taylor?” Alan asks Taylor. “Vera Davis and Tatum Green both told me this when we were at the mall the last time. They said that when they reported the inappropriate behavior between Alan and Gabi to their Alpha.

He defended Gabi and ended up throwing them out of the pack. Tatum said that she thinks that the Alpha is sleeping with her as well” Taylor tells them like it was written in stone and the undeniable truth. “Unfortunately for you Taylor, Alpha Heath is my uncle and I know him well.

He dotes on my aunt Von, they are very much in love. Von is my mother’s sister and there is no way that my uncle was with Gabi” Derek tells Taylor, but she doesn’t blush or lower her eyes, “I have never, and will never, sleep with Gabi.

Tatum started up a line of bullshit and it ended up with me being overly aggressive with Gabi during her testing and she got hurt because I believed Tatum and her and Vera’s lies over my own eyes. I didn’t train Gabi, and Jameson had to step up because I thought that what those evil girls said was true.

I ended up cracking three of Gabi’s ribs and cheating during her test. She had already “killed” me, and I came after her because I believed what those girls said to me about Gabi. They are the reason that I will never believe what someone with a clear agenda tries to tell me again.

I hurt an innocent person and I cannot forgive myself for my actions. I am ashamed of myself for listening to two girls who were trying to get with me, to believe something bad about another girl who only wanted to learn to protect herself from all that she had been through HERE, at Red River” Alan said and then gives a pointed look at Derek and then Heather and I know that this is about to turn ugly, so I pipe up. Um, are we done here? I don’t really care what these girls’ opinions of me are. I will stay in my lane, and they can stay in theirs.

Except for training and I am totally OK with Piper and Heather being in another class, so we can avoid all the unnecessary drama, if that is OK with everyone else” I tell them. Everyone nods in agreement and then Taylor pipes up, “I want to be in Tanner’s class”.

“No! I swear I will leave tonight Red River tonight, with Gabi, to avoid training you Taylor. You are not a part of this pack or the River Bed pack. Do NOT show up to be trained, if you couldn’t be bothered with it in the first 17 years of your life, you need to just drive your a*s back to your own pack and get trained, if you want to learn now” Tanner told her, and Easton and Hudson laugh again.

“Yes, you are not a pack member here and I am not paying them to train you, Taylor. You do not need to disrupt the training by coming and disturbing the trainers, so do not show up and bother them, or you will have to leave my pack.

Alan is putting everyone into their group, and I guarantee after this little incident that you and Heather can hang up getting to train with Tanner too Piper.

I don’t know why you would cause a scene in the dining room like that. You are about to be Luna here, please act like one. You know what is expected of you and you wanted this, that is why you made the deal, you wanted to be the Luna of both of our packs, and you are about to be, so please for the love of the Goddess, start acting like it.

You refused to cancel it, so it is going to happen, so start acting like a Luna now” Derek said in a forceful tone. I can tell he is getting angry, and I don’t blame him. Piper acted like a little child in the dining room for everyone present to see. It made her, and Derek, both look bad.

These packs need help, and apparently, more than we can give them because it looks like it is going downhill fast.

At least he got Taylor straightened out, I would be glad for her to leave tonight, as I really don’t have time for some extra bullshit when I need to be training people. I see Taylor standing there with a smile on her face and I know that she has stuff planned, and I am just done with her.

I already know that before the Luna ceremony gets here, I will probably have to fight her and Heather both. I think Piper is just an i*t and easily led, and I saw her reaction when Tanner said I waited for him, so I think she is OK with me now.

She was just jealous and they set her up to look bad, and she fell for it. I already know that this is going to be a really long week. I look at my watch and I have 30 minutes to find some food and get to the hospital to relieve Justin.

“Are we excused now, Derek? I need to get to Luna Liz after I find something to eat” I say and I saw him nod and then smile and I knew right then Tanner was right, this is just like at Crimson Shadow, and he is going to just pop up on me sometime during the night.

Tanner tensed up at seeing Derek’s smile and I just curl my hand into his and smile up at him. Derek will just be getting a surprise when he gets there to visit his mom.
