Rejected, but not Broken
Chapter 108

Gabi’s POV

Dana is really angry. She has lost two of her little cohorts and only Elise is with her. I am only going to go harder on them. I plan on knocking Dana out again before I am done. I know Tala is listening out for anyone else to come from the stands area on Dana’s side.

I wouldn’t put it past any of Dana’s friends to do it, as I know how she is, and the other three are the same way. I am keeping my focus on her and Elise for now, and if anyone comes in behind me, Tala will tell me, but I am sure someone will call out in warning too, as every time one of them entered the fight, the crowd will gasp. They also gasped at the blows! have been delivering too, I am glad the big bunch of supporters for Dana is just some jealous little girls and not a real threat.

Dana approached and got into a front stance, and she will either do a front kick or a back kick to hit me. She has decided and goes with the front kick and I push my as*s back to pull my stomach out of the way of her kick, so the kick doesn’t connect.

I step forward as she is bringing her foot back to place it, and I punched her in the face, she staggers a little and I roll to the right and punch her in the side of her head, and Dana goes down again.

I meant to hit her hard, as I want the blows to get progressively harder as she wanted this, so I am inclined to assist her.

Elise lands a sidekick on me, and I grunt from the contact, but she hit me with the ball of the foot, instead of her heel. She didn’t pivot to build up momentum, and her back leg wasn’t straight, so it was just annoying that I got hit, but I didn’t get hurt.

I will show her how it is done, and I spun and kicked her in the side as she did me, but I was in the correct position, and I know that I cracked two of her ribs delivering it to her. Elise goes down and she is in a lot of pain from the blow to her ribs.

I see a girl get up from the stands and head my way and from her appearance, it looks like Dana has a little sister. Dana is still out, so I guess she took it upon herself to join the fight. I am totally OK with her participating.

I would not trust her to stay here after Dana left anyway. I want all the bad apples gone from my pack, today I wait on her to decide what she wants to do, and it is apparent from how her hair is down and her large earrings, that she has never fought before at all.

This isn’t a beauty contest, Angela had braided my hair up and put it in a tight bun, just like I had when I tested. I don’t have my earrings in, I almost felt sorry for her for deciding to join us, as she is a sitting duck.

I stay in my stance and wait on her to come to me. I see Dana waking back up and I know her head is hurting with two blows hitting in almost the same spot. I don’t know her name, but I see the emotions crossing her face, that she knows she screwed up entering the ring after she saw what happened to the other three.

Elise is slowly crawling out of the circle, heading for their stand, and her two other friends. I already know 2 or 3 of her ribs are broken, and I see the pack doctor, who all of a sudden showed up after Gina and Ava exito the ring. He can tend to them, their healing can start before they leave the pack.

Dana’s sister keeps watch of me and will glance over at Dana, I have a feeling she is here to just distract me, but I know that Tala will let me know to move. If I hadn’t been finishing up the punches to Dana, FEise got me with a lucky shot, and that was why it wasn’t more effective. I am not hurting at all, and I change my position to where I can see Dana and her younger sister.

Dana sits up and sees her sister standing in the ring and then back at me and gets back up. I see her mindlinking again, and I wait patiently to see what she comes up with.

I see her sister getting closer to her like they are going to talk and then I see the pass-off. Dana has a weapon now, I change my stance and I know that people saw the handoff because they were now booing Dana and her sister.

I am waiting as Dana approaches me and I see that it is a knife, and a pretty big one. I heard Tanner behind me yelling at Beta Peter, “Dana has a knife” Peter glances at her as she tries her first strike at me, and I rolled to the side and punched her in the face.

Dana tries again and I rolled to the other side and used my momentum of dodging the punch to come up and hit Dana in her nose with the now-familiar crunch sounding out, and Dana screams in fury.

I need to keep a watch on her, and her sister, as her sister is behind me as Dana probably linked her to try to hold me still, so she can get me.

I know that she has to know that at this point she looks terrible. I literally just gave birth, and I am handing her and her three best friends their as*ses, in front of basically the whole pack.

I see my opportunity and slap my left hand on the outside of her right hand, knocking the knife loose, it flies about 15 feet from the force of the blow, and Heath picks it up.

He knew what I was going to do, and he stayed just out of the area it was going to land, he wants to keep it fair, and he drops the knife off on top of my pile of weapons, and Dana is staring at me shocked.

“What? Did you think I just went around shooting people? That is only for an attack coming in from a distance. We are sparring, and that is hand-to-hand. Do you want to invite a few others down? Does your sister even know how to fight?” I asked her.

“No, she doesn’t. She was just helping me out, because she is a good sister” Dana answers me, and looks towards her sister, and she almost looked guilty for involving her in this, but then she looked back at me, and I saw her resolve to finish this, and she wanted to make me pay

I see a few nurses coming to the sidelines to help the doctor with the injured, and Dana growls at me before she comes running to me. That was what I wanted. What I had been waiting for, this whole time. I waited on her to drawback to punch me in the face and I rolled to the side to avoid the blow and while she was still bent forward from the momentum, I put her into a Guillotine choke.

I put my forearm in front of her neck and put my other arm under her head and grabbed my own wrist and squeezed my elbow into my body and dropped down on my bvtt to the ground and rolled back, putting the top of her head to the ground, and wrapping my feet around the back of her butt to hold her still, and pushed my elbows down towards my h**s to take away her air supply.

Dana refused to tap,’ so I held the move until the lack of air made her pass out and her hand dropped to the ground. I let her go and her sister ran up to me and punched me in the face.

I swept her legs and put her into the same move I had put Dana in since she wanted to join the fight after all. She was smarter than Dana and tapped immediately. I let her go and got up quickly in case she was going to try to hit me again. She crawled over to Dana and try to wake her up as she cried over her big sister.

I see the nurse and doctor coming onto the field with a gurney and they go to start checking Dana out, and I told them they can leave her for a little bit, that she will start breathing normally on her own soon.

I heard a deep growl coming from behind me and turn to see Alan coming towards us fast and then sweeping the nurse up in a hug and starting to sniff deeply at her neck.

I see her looking confused for a minute before she realizes what he is doing, and I stand there and smile at them both. Alan finally found his mate, it was the nurse who assisted with the babies being born, and she works a lot at the hospital.

That was why he hadn’t found her yet, she has been working this whole time. He was so happy, but I waited to see if she was going to accept him.

He finally stopped sniffing her neck and looked at her frowning and wondering if she was about to reject him. He straightened up and braced for rejection.

“I can’t leave my pack, my parents are here, and I live with them and take care of them, they were older when they had me. I can’t leave here without them” she told him.

“I can come here. I can train here. You don’t have to leave. I have been looking for you for a while. I want to be with you” Alan told her, and we all waited to hear what she was going to say to him.

“You would come here? To live with me?” She said and I could see the tears in her eyes.

Alan nodded quickly and said, “I would do anything for you”.

She nods her head to him in acceptance, and the crowd erupts in cheers as Alan picks her up and swings her around, and gives her a k!ss. I am clapping and celebrating with them when Tala tells me to hit the ground and do a shoulder roll to the left as I heard someone scream out a warning.

I immediately dropped and I heard a shot ring out from in front of me. I had rolled and I jumped right back up, as I didn’t know what had happened, and turned to see Dana laying on the ground, shot dead, and with a gun in her hand.

That piece of sh!t, she was going to shoot me in the back, I was so caught up being excited about Alan finding a mate, that I let her sneak up on me. I mean Beta Peter had called the right in my favor as the winner, and it was over. Where the hell did she get that gun from? I looked over at her little sister, who was looking guilty as hell?

“Did you just hand your sister a gun to kill your Luna?” I asked her, and she gave a small nod I walked forward and gave her a throat punch, and she falls to the ground, unable to breathe. I know I broke her windpipe, unfortunately for her.

Either she or Dana, didn’t see who had knocked out the doctor, I guess because he was going to warn me. I saw b***d on his forehead so I am assuming that he got pistol-whipped before he could warn me She gave Dana not only a knife, which I forgave, but to bring a gun here as well for Dane to shoot me in the back with Why she thought she should let Dana kill me? I mean everything that Dana had said had been shown as false and a lie.

I should have known better than to trust her enough to turn my back on her, but I thought with the fight called in my favor, it was done. I guess I didn’t realize how low Dana really was. Thankfully Heath never took his eyes off of me, as I could have been killed by Dana. He took her out when I was clapping for Alan finding his mate after I beat Dana.

I am sorry but she earned it, and she couldn’t have made it outside the pack anyway, not without Dana. She was weak and delicate, and I was not going to let her off with attempting to kill me not once, but twice. I wasn’t going to give her the opportunity to come back at a later date and kill me.

Not going to happen, I have been too lenient so far, and I will not allow gossip, or bullying to happen in this pack again. We are a family, and we need to love and take care of each other.

I call out in a loud voice, “She couldn’t have made it outside the pack, and that was going to be her punishment. She gave Dana a knife, which I forgave her for. But giving her a gun, to shoot me in the back, I will not give her the opportunity for any lives to be lost with her coming back to the pack to try to kill me at a later date.

You all saw what happened. I was to fight Dana, who swore I couldn’t fight, and I ended up having to fight Dana, Ava, Elise, Gina, and this young girl, who I don’t even know who all decided to follow someone who rejected her own mate because she decided she wanted mine because she wanted to be Luna.

If you have something to say about what happened, I would be glad to talk to you about it, but I fought fairly and with honor and didn’t kill them when obviously I should have killed Dana and kept her in that chokehold. I was declared the winner and yet, they still plotted against your Luna.

I promise to love and take care of each and every one of you, but if you are going to break the law and try to kill your Luna, do not be surprised if you are put to death for your crimes. I will not allow any more bullying or gossip to take place.

I hope that since you have seen that Dana flat-out lied to you about me that you will give me an ACTUAL chance to be your Luna” I told them, and the crowd roared to life and stood up to clap at what I said.

I see the other few girls on the other stand get up and slink off, but I know what they look like, and the second they cause a problem, their as*ses will be out of here too.
