Chapter 100

Gabi’s POV

I mindlinked Aria to get them adjoining rooms ready and that we were bringing in a family of four. I mindlinked Beta Peter and told him to let Devon the rogue out of his cell and to let him meet us at the front of the packhouse.

I also mindlinked the Head Omega, Azylin, and asked her to go through the donated clothes we had and gave her their sizes, as soon as I got them from Sarah.

I also told her we had a new Omega coming into the pack and what all that she could do, for her to be placed where we needed her. Azylin will also be meeting us at the front of the packhouse when she gets the items ready.

I had started a room where non-damaged clothes and shoes were washed and kept, to be reused. We bought new underwear, socks, and shoes, in several different sizes so we could take care of newcomers, like the refugees we had just got in, last August, when the rouge group got split up and placed in packs.

With cases like this, we wanted to be prepared to be able to take care of our people as soon as they got there, so they would feel welcomed and safe. I want them to feel like they are wanted, and important to us, as they are one of us now.

We pulled up and parked in front of the packhouse right behind Alan’s SUV and I saw that Peter had done what I had asked. Devon flew to Sarah’s door and opened it and leaned in to give her a k!ss.

Tanner was getting Emily out of the back and took her around to her father. He was already kneeling down and k!ssing his children and then hugging them tightly. Azylin showed up and watched them with a big smile on her face and when they were done reuniting, she stepped up and gave them the large bag that she had prepared.

I had told her that he was a warrior, so she had included several pairs of shorts and t-shirts for training as well. She had a separate bag for shoes for the family and Sarah started to cry at seeing what was in the bags. Aria was also standing back and watching with a smile on her face as well, as we all walked up the steps.

She gave them their room key and told them that they had a suite and that the children’s room would have two twin beds in it, but that they could get a baby bed for their son placed in there if they wanted to change out one of the beds.

Devon said, “We appreciate that, but for the first couple of nights, the kids would probably just sleep with us, as we have all been sleeping on the floor together for the last few months. So, they are kind of used to it. We will let you know if we need to change beds. He is almost 3, so I think it will be fine”.

“Thank you for bringing us here. I cannot believe that you got this ready for us so quickly. I cannot thank you enough, really. I never expected us to be able to be in a pack again”, Sarah said to us, crying.

Azylin stepped up and said, “Gabi mindlinked me that you were coming and your sizes. We actually can use your talents in several areas, as I was told what you did before.

We need a baker for desserts and pastries, a cook for meals, and since you have a skill set that we can use, we actually need someone who can sew to make clothes for people coming in. It is a cost-effective way for us to restock.

You don’t have to decide right now, and we let people kind of circle around if you will. So, once a month, or once a week, it is really up to you, you can either sew, cook, garden, or bake.

That way you keep your skills up, but you get to move around so you don’t get bored. Also, Omegas get paid here at B***d Rose, so whatever thing you decide to do, you will be getting paid for it, like a 40-hour-a-week job.

We also have a daycare for the little ones, so they can be ready when school starts for them. So, take a day or two to get used to the pack. We have gotten several new families recently, and they are still kind of new too, so you will fit right in.

My name is Azylin, I am the head Omega here. You can contact me at any time about what you want to do, and I will be glad to show you around the packhouse so you can see how the areas are and then decide what you want to do here. How does that sound to you?

“That sounds wonderful to me, thank you so much. I actually can tell you right now that I love to bake and make clothes the most. They are my very favorite things to do, and those are the two things that I am best at. I especially love to bake cookies.

I can start tomorrow, as I feel like we owe you so much already. I would love to get back to work right now”, Sarah said to Azylin.

“Take the rest honey, you will still be paid. Gabi already told me to let you have the first two days off for you and your family to have some time together before you both start to work”. Azylin told her.

“Devon has a job too?” Sarah asked.

“You said he was a warrior, he looks like a warrior to me, maybe a little thin right now, but we will fix that right up with you all getting regular meals. I expected him to be a warrior here as well. That is if he still wants to be one. We can always find him another position if he wants to do something else”, Tanner told him

“No, I would love to be a warrior again. That is what I am, and I love my job”, Devon told us quickly and we laughed at how loudly he said it. You can really tell that he loves being a warrior.

“Then you need to be sure to come to the town hall that we are having today as we are starting a competition and a training program with it. We are starting our own elite training team here at B***d Rose, and we need to get at least 5 members on the team. I can’t leave to go do it anymore, as I need to run my pack.

But we will want good people that are willing to help others in need periodically, by going there to train. With us having a team as well, it will help to keep the same people from having to go out every single time. We will be able to let people have turns and it takes the weight off of the main team, at Ever Green” Tanner told them.

“I would love to try out for that team, and I will be there for the town hall. I just need to know where it is located first. It would be a dream of mine to be able to be on that team” Devon said. Azylin said, “I will give you all a quick tour for you to see the kitchen and dining room areas, and then show you the room that we store the clothes in and the room next to it where you will be sewing, Sarah.

Then, I will show you to your room where you can all get cleaned up and then come down for lunch. I will tell you where the town hall will be held. You will be able to see the building from the window of the sewing room”

They head off to take a short tour and I see Tanner grinning at me.

“What? What are you smiling at, Tanner?” I asked him.

“Just what a perfect Luna you are. You care so much for your packmembers, and you want them to be taken care of. Mom absolutely loves the room you set up for emergencies, and we can use it for all of our new people, or to help other packs out as well if they need our assistance. It is smart to buy things on sale to use at a later time. It saves us time and money to do it that way. I was actually interested in buying the land that the shack they were staying in was on.

I saw the notes on your nightstand and like your ideas of cabins for families. I think that would be a great idea for us to do, and it leaves the packhouse for the unmated members of the pack. I know it would be safer for the she-wolves to be protected here in the packhouse.

I know you had an idea like what your dad Percy had done with the cabin you lived in. I think it would be great to get with someone to design three models.

A two-bedroom, a three-bedroom, and a four-bedroom home for our families, I can see the plans you have for our pack, increasing our numbers, and making us even stronger”, Tanner said to me, and then k!ssed my head as we stopped at the cells to go back down. We had one more visit to make and that was to Dana.

I am not looking forward to it, as I don’t think that she is actually delusional, she is just a greedy b!tch who wants to be Luna to a large, and strong, pack. She didn’t love Tanner and was only using him to try to get the position.

Again, I am so thankful to Aria for setting Tanner straight on stopping with the girls in the pack. It could have been much worse than it is. If he had continued, there would have been even more girls chasing after him. As it is, I still have four girls who would rather see me dead, than with Tanner.

We got to her cell and Tanner was ahead of me and I could hear her excitement at Tanner coming to see her.

She was almost bouncing in her happiness. Right up until she saw me. “How? It isn’t possible. Taylor said that she was going to get rid of you for good. How are you still here?” Dana called out. “Did you know what Taylor had planned for Gabi, Dana?” Tanner asked her.

“Well, I knew she was planning something big, and she needed me to get the rogue onto our packlands. I asked her if she was sure it was going to work and that Gabi would not be coming back, and she said that Gabi would not ever be back. That lying b!tch. I don’t know why I helped her at all. I guess you were right, Gabi.

Your sister doesn’t know the truth well enough to be able to tell it. I want to kick her a*ss myself. If she ever asks me to do anything else to help her, I won’t do it” Dana said, and you could tell she was upset.

“Why did you do it, Dana? We both know you don’t love me, you only wanted the Luna position. You knew I had a mate, and yet you kept me apart from my mate for weeks, by leaving Taylor on our packlands. You two kept us apart for 5 weeks.

It was horrible what you did, and don’t think I forgot about you taking my phone when I was going to test. But you put the whole pack at risk by telling an unknown rogue our patrol schedule for him to be able to get onto our packlands. What if he was part of a large group? What if they killed your fellow pack members when they came onto our packlands?

Did you ever once think of that? Every single one of those deaths would have been on you for doing that. Listening to Taylor was idiotic, completely idiotic.

I have told you time and time again, and your punishment is coming. I have decided to leave it in your Luna’s capable hands”, Tanner told Dana.

“I am not scared of her. She can’t even fight. I would have been the MUCH better choice for you, Tanner. Plus, I know the whole pack.

They know me, I know that a lot of them still wish I was the Luna. You aren’t in touch with your people, Tanner. They don’t know or trust her yet. I wish she really was gone, even if it meant that Taylor would be our new Luna because Gabi doesn’t belong here at B***d Rose, and she will never be MY Luna”, Dana said to us and then gave me a smirk. I have decided what her punishment would be.

You will have your chance then, Dana. Three weeks after I have the twins, we will fight. In fact, to make it fair, I will allow you to come out of your cell for the day in the three weeks after I have given birth for you to be able to train to beat me.

That seems like it will be more than fair actually. We will fight on the training grounds and “your” fans can sit on your side, and mine on my side. We will see who deserves to be Luna of the B***d Rose pack”, I told her.

“I am going to kick your as*s, Gabi, don’t get mad at me when I do either,” Dana said to me, and then she laughed. Dana turned and headed back to the bed in the cell, against the far wall.

We will see who has the last laugh on this, I thought, as Tanner and I headed upstairs. I am suddenly excited at the thought of handing Dana her as*s in front of the pack.

I hope what I think she is planning is what she is actually going to do, so I can kill 4 birds with the same stone because Dana is going to try to change the odds to be in her favor.

I can’t wait for the babies to get here, so I can start practicing again. Dana needs to learn that I am the Luna of B***d Rose, and she will never take that position from me.
