I pressed the joistik button tightly. I had to win that game. I knew I must have a terrible, psychotic expression, but I didn't care. It was just a useless video game. But I couldn't give Igor a taste of victory. He couldn't win. Couldn't beat me... Again. The last week has crossed my mind. After that... Um... day; I didn't speak to Igor for four days. He had sought me out, of course. And I convinced Pablo to let him distract himself and give me a little time. Unnecessary time, because Igor showed up here at home less than two days later. And he ended up standing in the doorway of my house, staring at me, not saying a single word, looking as embarrassed as I was. At the end, I asked him if he wanted to have lunch. Just to break the mood. And that's what happened. A lunch with my mother, Cecilia and I. A kind of déjà vu, on the contrary. I was sitting next to Igor and he couldn't stop staring at Cecilia. Which had been embarrassing for both of them.
So, without any words, we decided to ignore the kissing episode. I bet Igor doesn't even think about it anymore, treating me like his friend, little sister, but for me it gets hard. Lay your head on the pillow and not think about that fateful day at the beach. Not thinking about that kiss and our involvement, and also what it meant to me. We become as close as before by 'forgetting' that moment.
With Igor picking me up from school and me taking him almost every day to the planetarium; We were truly inseparable. He remembered things from his work little by little, but the important part... Nothing. I'm even happy about that. It makes things easier.
"I can't believe you're going to let her win again, Igor. Ceci grumbled. And Alexander laughed out loud. Igor snorted, looking at me angrily.
"You must be cheating.
-I? Cheating? That's a gift. What fault do I have if you play like a little girl? Igor grumbled and I raised my arms in a gesture of victory. He snorted and sulked. "You're not going to cry, are you going to baby?"
"Shut up. He threw the cushion in my face and I laughed softly. Hugging her. I looked over the pillow and saw Cecilia telling Igor something that made him laugh and his eyes sparkle. I noticed that he looked at her too much. And whether I wanted it or not, it bothered me. Someone slid over to the side of the couch.
"Don't look at her like that. I'm about to see a hole form in her forehead.
"And the two of me in yours." Will you get a pair of horns?
"What a terrible thing to say to your friend. I ignored the way he said it, friend. Alexander and I were drifting further and further apart.
What? She's capable of it. Admit it, you are too. If they deserve it.
"Oh yes? And who would I cheat on Ceci with? He waited for my answer. "With you?"
"Shut up. I nervously got up from the couch and walked to the kitchen.
"Malu?" I heard Igor's voice and just ignored it. I leaned back against the table, placing my hand on my forehead. I felt pressured. It was too much to handle. And I couldn't stand it.
"I didn't mean to make you mad. Sorry. Alexander's voice surprised me. I took a deep breath.
"I didn't mean to call you a bovine. I'm sorry too. I looked back, seeing Alexander biting his lip.
"I miss you.
-Me too.
