Carter takes a deep breath, prepares for Ace’s harsh words.

“Did… Did you… Need anything, Ace?’ He can’t help but make words out.

“Can you face me when we talk?” An ace voice like calm water.

“I’m busy… You can say whatever you want.” Carter tries to be reasonable.

“Fine. Did you want Aunt Miya to become Luna?” Ace’s question made Carter’s eyes widen in shock.

“No. Who dares to say flash news? My Luna is Nora! Your Mother! And no one is going to take her place!” I said in an aggressive tone.

Ace walks and stops in front of Carter. Carter froze in place seeing his little son standing in front of him, folding his hand on his chest. Look as serious as usual when he saw Carter. Carter thought about what to do or do not.

“You were lying when you were busy. Are you hidden here, because you are weak?” Ace mocked him.

“I’m not weak! I’m Alpha of Blue Moon Pack!!” Carter growled out of sudden. He feels hurt and angry at Ace’s words. He never thinks Ace thinks him weak.

Normally, everyone gets scared after hearing him growling. But Ace kept standing there staring at Carter’s eyes. Like he can see his soul.

“Look, Ace… I know I hurt your mother a lot of back time. But trust me, I love her from the bottom of my heart. She has been my best friend since we were just kids. I know I chose someone, and it’s hurt your mother. But she is a woman I love, care for and I want to be my Luna! And she will be. She is the mother of my pups and life, I can’t live without her and I’ll find her. I’m not strong… I’ll find her. Just trust me, ok?” Carter said desperately.

“Good! Because I want my Daddy to stay strong!!” Ace said, nodding his head in understanding.

“I’m strong… Wait! Did you just call me, Daddy?” Carter can’t help jumping in shock.

“No! I didn’t call you that… I’m hungry, I want to eat my dinner in time. Come on…” Ace grabbed his hand as he said.

Carter was shocked when Ace held his finger because his hand was so big for a little boy. Carter looked down at his hand. He waited for the cold to come from his hand. But nothing happened.

“I trust that you will bring my mother back, so I won’t freeze you now. Now back to my dinner?” Ace chuckles softly.

“I’ll call Jax…”

“No! I want you to feed me breakfast, lunch, and dinner too. Not just food, you will help me for baths, clothes and many more things that the father did to his son.” Ace said, looking in a more serious tone.

“Wait! Did you really want me to do all this? Didn’t you prefer Jax for this?” Carter began to doubt him.

“I’m your son! Don’t you think it’s your responsibility to take care of me and my sisters? Uncle Jax took care of my sister the whole time, he got tired, so I want you to take care of me. Did you want to do it or not? Maybe I’ll find someone else?” Ace used a threatening tone as Nora used when she was with him in bed.

“No, you are my son. I’ll never allow anyone to take my place.” Carter said in a protesting tone.

“Good to know that… Now pick me up and bring me to dinner.” Ace lifted his arms as he said.

Carter picked him up in his arms. Ace hugs his neck, and Carter won’t help but smile in happiness. He was happy that finally his son won’t hate him and allow him to be close to him. Soon he will call him daddy for sure. Carter takes a deep breath and feels a little light-hearted.

“Come on, I don’t want to be late for my dinner.” Ace pointed to the door.

“Yes, little Alpha…” Carter said and walked out of the room.

“Called me Ace. I’m not Alpha yet.” Ace said.

“Sure, Ace.” Carter smiles and walks to the elevator.

After the elevator stops on the ground floor, Carter walks to the kitchen area. Everyone that passed by him got shocked seeing him out of the room after such a long time. Everyone wishes him Alpha.

“Alpha…” One omega said loudly.

And the whole dining room was surprised to see him. Leo and April whisper to each other and smile. Jax who was feeding both girls stopped and now to him. The whole group was shocked to see Ace with Alpha.

“Alpha… How are you?” Max asked.

“Good. Hey cupcakes, did you miss Daddy?” Carter takes his seat and looks at Abbey – Gabby with a smile.

“We miss you a lot, Daddy… But Big Daddy always told us that you will come out soon… See you!!” Gabby said with a smile.

Carter won’t help but get surprised hearing her words.

“Big Daddy? Who is he?”

“He is our Big Daddy… Right, Big Daddy?” Abbey pointed to Jax.

“Jax, what all is this?” Carter won’t help but ask.

“Alpha…”

“Mommy told us to call uncle Jax to Daddy. But they decided to call him Big Daddy. Right, Daddy?” Ace said, giving Jax a gentle smile.

“Oh…” Carter got quiet all of sudden. He felt sad and jealous because Ace never called him Daddy. But now he is calling Jax Daddy.

“What did you want to eat?” Carter forgot bitterness in his heart and tried to be normal.

“Mushroom soup, rice with omelet and salad, please.” Ace said.

Carter looked safe and safely nodded in understanding.

“Well, this is new here… Carter, did you do something to Ace? Why is he so touchy around you?” Leo asked.

“From now on Daddy will be the one to take care of me, my studies and everything I want to do… Right, Daddy?” Ace looked up and said loudly.

Carter was taken back, but Ace suddenly called him Daddy. He was amazed by Ace’s words. He looked down at the little boy with widened eyes. Ace gives him a gentle smile that he only gives to Nora, his sister, Leo and Jax. He never smiles at Carter this whole time. Carter was dying to see him some at him, but that won’t happen before. But today he was seeing that smile.

“Congratulations Alpha Carter!! Finally, Ace accepts you as his father, huh?” Leo’s voice makes Carter more stunned.

“Your face looks so hilarious right now Carter.” Leo smiles loudly at Carter’s face.

“Come on, don’t tease brother…” April hit Leo’s arms playfully.

“Yeah! Stop playing with me. You never called me Alpha before… Why all of sudden?” Carter said.

“Well, you made Nora happy, not just happy you made her pregnant! And now you made Ace call you Daddy! He forgives you, Nora forgives too. So why do I hold back? Did you want me to bow to you to show I’m seriously accepting you as my Alpha?” Leo stands up and bows to Carter.

Carter put Ace down and walked to Leo. He grabbed Leo’s shoulders and pulled him up.

“Leo, I don’t want you to bow to me like this.” Carter said.

“Didn’t you want me to respect you as Alpha? I was doing the same.” Leo smiles gently.

“Yes, I want you to respect me as Alpha. But not like this… You say Nora and Ace forgive me… But it’s because of me she got kidnapped. I made her weak so that HE could catch her. I field to protect her… I never deserve this…”

“Who blames you for her kidnapping Carter? Everyone knows what happened that day. He was powerful and used back the magic. No one can save her like that… So stop blaming yourself. We have all been trying to search for her for the past three months. Did we let that go, saying it’s now three months, why did we search for her? Did anyone think like that? Did you think like that?” Leo asked in a serious tone.

“No.” Carter shakes his head.

“You are searching for her… Like we do. So why do we think you never do anything? Carter we all know you don’t rest and eat to search Nora. You deserve to be called Alpha.” Leo patted Carter’s shoulders and smiled at him.

Carter smiles at him and hugs him. Finally, he was getting what he desperately wanted. Soon they began to eat dinner. In between that Carter still misses Nora.

‘ Babe… I miss you… Did you miss me?’ Carter thought.
