No One POV

“When I left you back there. I had to go to a motel to see Nora. And I meet her worse status. I never imagined one day I would see her like this. She was bleeding heavily after cutting her wrist again and again to kill herself. Her whole body is covered by your marks, Carter. She is just like in bed waiting for death to come. My friend was dying because my best friend rejected her. If I saw you that day again, I swear to the goddess I will kill you without guilt.” Leo looks at Carter with the same hateful eyes. His mind recalled the scene he faced. That haunted him in his dreams for a very long time.

Carter is staring at Leo’s face and won’t say anything. He doesn’t dare to say words.

Jax looks at both of them. He was sitting quietly. He wanted to know everything about Nora. No need to say he was holding his anger, thinking who was cruel to his Alpha to his Mate.

“You know how painful it is to be rejected by Mate. She feels the same. Even worse than that, you have not broken the bond between you. You broke Nora’s heart, her trust, her body, and her soul too. She got depressed by rejection, and she got into a coma for two whole weeks. ” Leo keeps telling them what happened to Nora that day.

“She is in a coma?” Carter’s eyes widened.

“She is… You thought she might forget you and live happily. You’re wrong, Carter! She was not happy. Seeing her condition, I took her abroad for treatment. I want to save her, and I want to save…” Leo stops in the middle. He is almost going to tell Nora about having his babies.

“Why do you stop?” Carter asked. He felt he was hiding something.

“After some treatment, Nora came out from a coma. But she still looks broken. On a full moon night, she had a nightmare. She sees you rejecting her again and again. That night I needed to take care that she wouldn’t kill herself recalling the past. Your effect on her was too much for her to bear. You see how she reacts when you touch her.” Leo keeps the baby’s thing and keeps talking.

“I never thought…” Carter murmured himself. He looked sad and hurt.

“Then what do you do after that?” Jax asked.

“She just lost hope to live. So I need to motivate her. I keep motivating her for life when we find out that she is pregnant.” Leo stops and sees the expression on Carter’s face. As he expects, he is not happy about what he said.

“What kind of motivation are you giving her to make her pregnant?” Carter asked loudly. He can’t hide his jealousy.

“Are you saying I take advantage of her status and make her pregnant?” Leo asked in a bit of an angry tone.

“Then what, Leo? How can she get pregnant if you won’t f**k her, huh?” Carter growled at him in full anger.

“F**k you, Carter! I just saved her life, damn it!” Leo fights back with the same rage.

“By making out with her? Putting your seeds inside her?” The more he says it, the more Carter gets angry.

“Gosh, Her pregnancy was unexpected to both of us.” Leo said calmly.

“Leo, how can you touch her knowing that she is mine?” Carter asked in a hurting tone.

“Yours? Are you kidding me, Carter? After you reject her and leave her there to die herself. Now knowing I was with her, do you feel jealous?” Leo mocked.

“If I reject her, that doesn’t mean you have the right to have her. You have Mate, too out there. As I know, Nora is not your Mate. Then why did you marry her? Don’t tell after finding out she’s pregnant, and you take her responsibility by marrying her.” Carter’s voice frame is like fire.

Leo looks at Carter’s face. He wants to hit him hard by hearing the story he makes. But Leo just sighs helplessly.

“Leo, Alpha is right. You had Mate out there. What will she think about seeing you with another woman? And you had babies with her? What will you do then?” Jax’s voice was not as loud as Carter’s but had strong power as Beta’s.

Leo looked at Beta. In this conversation, only Carter and he were talking. Jax was just listening to them. That was the first time Leo noticed Jax, and he saw the same expression on Jax’s face as he saw on Carter’s face. He looked a bit puzzled. But when Jax’s words hit him, he felt a shiver. He definitely won’t want his mate to get hurt by knowing his fake relationship with Nora. He can’t afford to lose his Mate. But what Jax said makes a point if he likes married couples. He definitely loses.

“Why are you quiet, Leo? What Jax said is not wrong. Did you think this before putting Your seed into her?” Carter’s words are full of fire.

“Carter, please! Can you say some decent words? Your words really hurt. Now I can feel how Nora feels.” Leo said sadly.

“You never give me an answer Leo,” Jax said.

“Brother Jax, please… If you were my spot, you would do the same thing. Nora needs to distract herself from different things. I never plan babies in the first place to distract them. And as for my Mate, she will understand me. She accepts what I did.” Leo said, nodding his head.

“Are you saying that you were keeping both women to yourself?” Carter’s eyes got dark.

“Maybe something like that. Anyway, we distract ourselves from the main subject.” Leo struggles with his shoulder too helplessly.

“We are never distracted. You dogged the subject.” Carter said, rolling his eyes annoyingly.

“Whatever! Anyway, as you see, she had depression. But in the end, I’m the one who brings Nora back to herself. She studies after giving birth to triplets and becomes a famous heart surgeon. And she is happy with me. But you come again to ruin her life again.” Leo said in frustration.

“Yes, I’m here to take her back. Leo, she has never been yours from the start. She is my Mate, and I want her back.” Carter said calmly.

“For goddess seak Carter, she is a mother of three babies. What do you think about them? Don’t tell me you want them to live without their mother?” Leo asked curiously.

“F**k! Leo, why do you think like that? You know I like kids. How can I make them live without her?” Carter’s annoyed tone.

“Then what?” Leo kept staring at him as he asked him.

“I’m taking them with me. The boy will be your future Alpha. And as for girls, they were growing like princesses in a pack house. No one looks down on them.” Carter said proudly.

“What the…” Leo can’t help but wonder if he really meant it?

.Alpha, sorry to disturb you, but what about Luna Maya? She is waiting for you in the pack house. If you take Nora with you, how can you handle her?” Jax interrupts him in the middle.

“I… I will talk to her. She will understand me.” Carter avoids looking at him.

“You’re still not over with her, aren’t you? And you still want to take Nora to the place she is staying? How can you think of putting both women beside you now? You’re just objecting to me staying with Nora and My Mate, And now you’re coming to the same things. Leo pointed out to him.

Carter pov

When Leo talks about Nora, I feel like a crab. What did I do to Nora? I never thought she would have been a mess when I left her. I thought she would find someone.

‘How can you think like that? She never accepts your rejection. She is still our… Did you see what your stupidity made our Mate hurt? Say thanks to Leo if he never got there and find her out like that… We definitely lost our Mate.’ James said angrily.

‘I know that I made big mistakes. But now I’m gonna give her what she lost in her life.’ I said confidently.

‘But what Leo did to motivate her was something I never expected. He touched her and made her pregnant, and she had to carry our pups… But she carries Leo’s pups!’ James frowned in anger.

‘Don’t mention that! It makes me beat Leo a*s. And right now I don’t think making Leo dead makes Nora hate me more. As I tell him I’ll take care of her pups too. They live as I say.’ I said.

“Alpha, sorry to disturb you, but what about Luna? She is waiting for you in the pack house. If you take Nora with you, how can you handle that?” Jax interrupts me in the middle. And I want to kick him off. Why did he mention her now like this?

‘He is not wrong here.’James supported him.

“I… I will talk to her. She will understand me.” I avoid looking at him. Yes, I’m going to do that. I hope Miya understands me.

“You’re still not over with her, aren’t you? How can you think of putting both women beside you now? You’re just objecting to me staying with Nora and My Mate, And now you do the same things.” Leo pointed out to me. He knows me very well.

“You know I can’t leave her like that. She has been with me for the past four years. She loves me, and I don’t want to break another’s heart.” I try to say.

“You had Miya with you… Then why does your wolf want Nora? Carter, Nora hates you. So you better leave her alone. Let her live happily. She is happy here, she has kids, and I do too. So don’t worry, I will take care of her.” Leo tried to test my nerves.

“You are right, and I had Miya with me. And I want Nora to live happily, but not here. As I said, James was a crazy wolf for her. He wants Nora with him. He wants to take care of her and her kids with us to pack the house. You know James is more stubborn than me. He never lets Nora go.” I said calmly.

‘It was just me that wanted Nora? You do not feel anything like I feel? Carter, you and I are one. And as you say I’m crazy for her. You are also crazy for her. It’s that you won’t accept this. But it’s true. Your mind is still blind to that half-wolf woman. She, not from the start.’ James said in an annoyed tone.

‘Can we talk about this some other day? James, I need to convince Leo to give me one chance to win her back.’ I said and cut my mind.

“Nora never will come with you! Don’t waste your time here, Carter. You see how much she got depressed seeing you here. I won’t allow you to make her worse than she is already. Just give up!” Leo shakes his head.

“Give up!?” I can’t believe he thought I could give up on her.

‘Let me take control!! This wolf needs a good beat. So he knows I will die but won’t give up on her. She is mine!’ James growls in my mind. Try to take control.

He uses his power to control me. No, I. don’t want him to do that. I try to get up. But the pain in my wound and James biting my mind. I lost my balance and fell to my knees.

“Alpha…” I hear Jax’s worried voice. He ran to me to help me to stand up. But I refused him.

“Carter, are you ok?” Next, I hear Leo’s voice.

‘What the hell are you doing, James? Stop using your power… My body won’t hold too much…’ I yelled at him.

‘Your wounds open it, Carter. ‘James’s voice rang in my mind last time.

He is getting weaker. My chest hurt severely. My hand is holding my chest. I feel warm liquid in my hand.

“Carter, you’re bleeding… Brother Jax helped me to take him to his room. ” I feel Leo grab my arms to help.

“Ok.” Jax holds my other hand.

“N… No! ” I shake my arms to get free.

“Carter, don’t struggle too much!! We are getting you to your room. Your wound was open, and I need to stitch your wound again.” Leo shouted in panic.

It feels better knowing that Leo still cares for me. This is my chance to ask for forgiveness.

“Leo…’ I hardly turn to Leo. My hand was on my lamps when I still tried to keep on my knees.

“Carter, for goodness sake, stop being stubborn.” Leo shouted at me.

“I’m sorry…” I say hardly. My voice is so low, and I hope he listens to me.

Leo froze in his spot. He looked down at me. I can’t see his face clearly. But he seemed too frustrated and worried. His eyes focus on me.

“Leo, I’m sorry… Can you forgive me? I need you… I need my old friend and My Mate back. I’m… Begging you. Just give me some time… I promise I’ll win your trust and Nora’s heart. I made her come to me. ” I said, putting my last breath to say that. That damn darkness was covering my eyes.

“Still stubborn, won’t you?” Leo chuckles with a soft smile.

“I’m… I won’t give up now. I need one chance with her. If she rejects me, I will accept my loss And won’t disturb her after that…Leo, please…” I tried to grab his plan, but my hand was shaking, and My hand felt so heavy. I wasn’t able to touch his hand.

“F**k you, Carter! Fine! I’m giving you the last chance. You can try. But don’t put pressure on her. If you do things over with her. I’ll kill you for sure, Carter West. Then your pack needs to find a new Alpha for sure.” Leo gives me a warning with a chance.

“Thank you…” I sigh in relief. Now I don’t feel any pressure on my shoulders. I feel the cold floor hit me. I think I fell because I heard Jax and Leo’s panicked voices.

“Nora…” Those in the last words left by me, and I close my eyes. In the darkness, I see her smiling face.
