Chapter 427 Is My Harry Really This Amazing?

This time, Harry was totally out of moves. He hadn't even tackled any advanced function problems; he just managed to hijack Far East International's surveillance gear. What if Stellan really wanted to check? "Chill out, it's just kids showing off. Let's not get involved," Alaric said, stepping in to cool things down. Then he turned to Harry and said, "Harry, come over and eat."

"Okay, Dad!" Hearing Alaric call him to eat, Harry dashed over and plopped down at the dining table. He was super stoked 'cause he nailed his task, and he chowed down a ton that night. After dinner, Stellan, being all considerate, helped Alaric take a bath and tucked him in before heading to the bathroom herself.

Meanwhile, the kids bolted to the study on the second floor and made sure to lock the door tight.

When Elisa saw the split-screen surveillance footage on the computer screen, she was totally blown away and kept exclaiming, "Harry, you really did it! It's so clear!"

All of Far East International's surveillance was now on this computer. It was already nighttime, and the company's employees had bounced, but Tommy was still there. Harry said proudly, "Caspian, admit it, I'm awesome!"

"Yeah, you're," Caspian had to admit. Harry's skills were right there in front of them.

"But isn't this illegal?" Elisa asked, worried, "If they find out and call the cops, won't you get busted? No, Harry, even though you're stingy and mean all the time, I don't want you to go to jail."

Harry said, "Zoe, can you say something nice? I'm a top hacker, okay? I do bad stuff without leaving a trace. Who's gonna catch me?"

Elisa asked, "So you're kinda admitting this is illegal?"

Harry was instantly ticked off and then shifted the blame to Caspian. "Caspian made me do it. He said he's the mastermind, and I'm just the hand. If we get caught, his sentence will be heavier. If I get ten years, he'll get twenty." "Shut it," Caspian said seriously, "Now that this is done, what about the detailed background info on Tommy?"

Harry rolled his eyes. "Caspian, why the rush? I'm just an elementary school kid. I gotta go to class, do homework, eat, and sleep. I'm not a full-time hacker."

Alaric's voice suddenly cut through. "You know you're an elementary school kid, yet you don't study properly and do illegal stuff."

Just as Harry finished talking, Alaric walked in. Seeing him and hearing what he said, the three of them froze.

They scrambled to turn off the computer, but in their panic, they couldn't manage to shut it down, and Alaric saw the surveillance footage on the screen. "Didn't you lock the door?" Elisa hit Harry and questioned, "Did you forget to lock it?"

Harry said, "I did lock it."

Elisa asked, "Then how did Dad get in?"

"Harry did lock it," Alaric said, tossing the key onto the desk. "But you seem to forget, I'm the owner of this house."

"Dad, this was all my idea. I'll take the blame," Caspian quickly stood up and said.

"It wasn't totally his idea; we all agreed on it..." Harry added slowly.

"Dad, I didn't do anything. I don't wanna go to jail!" Elisa was immediately freaked out. She wasn't about to play the hero here.

Alaric didn't say a word. He just walked over to the computer and, seeing the surveillance footage on the screen, was genuinely shocked.

"Harry, you're really good. If you were an adult, this would get you several years in prison," Alaric said, sounding almost amused.

"Dad, you wouldn't report me, would you? Please, I'm your son." Harry was genuinely scared.

Alaric stated, "I always stand on the side of justice. Everyone is equal before the law."

"Dad, if someone has to go to jail, let it be me. I'm their big brother; I'll take the responsibility," Caspian said.

"Taking responsibility, that's good," Alaric said, sitting down on the sofa, looking leisurely at the three of them.

Now, the three kids didn't dare to say a word. Alaric glanced at the surveillance footage again and then looked back at them. "Besides this, what else are you planning to do? Spill it."

The three of them exchanged glances, and Alaric continued, "Whoever tells me will get a reward."

"Me!" Elisa immediately raised her hand upon hearing there was a reward. "We know you're in trouble, and we wanted to help. So we thought of having Harry take control of Far East International's surveillance and then check Tommy's background. That's the plan so far."

"Zoe, can you be any weaker? This is betrayal, you know?" Harry was furious. They hadn't even seen any substantial reward yet, and she had confessed everything.

"Dad promised me a reward," Elisa said excitedly, "Dad, what will you give me?"

"Whatever you want," Alaric said, hugging Elisa. Seeing this, Harry couldn't help but mutter, "Traitor!"

Caspian and Harry stood in front of him like they had done something wrong, waiting for the judgment of justice, not daring to say a word.

"Are you afraid of going to jail?" Alaric asked.

"Yes." Caspian and Harry nodded. That was the truth.

"Then don't do such things behind adults' backs. You're just elementary school students. Focus on your studies. You don't need to worry about adult matters, and you certainly don't need to take risks. Got it?" They replied in unison, "Got it."

"But you meant well, I know that, so I won't pursue it. And to be honest..." Alaric paused here, and Caspian and Harry looked at him nervously, waiting for him to continue.

Alaric continued, "You did a great job." Being able to fully control all the surveillance inside Far East International was indeed an impressive feat.

Hearing Alaric say this, they were dumbfounded. Did they hear him right?

Alaric uttered, "Harry, weren't you going to check Tommy's detailed background? Go ahead, show me your skills."

Hearing Alaric say this, the three of them were all stunned. Then Harry suddenly understood and smiled. "Dad, you were testing me. Don't worry, I won't do illegal stuff anymore. I've reformed!"
