Mommy,We Got a Husband -
Chapter 347 Why Do You Have to Go Against Me?
Caspian, Harry, and Elisa had scolded Alaric a lot for this. Alaric was always close with Stellan but just wouldn't marry her. Now that Alaric and Stellan were finally married, it was Cormac's turn. Hearing Elisa's words, Alaric just laughed gloatingly, while Cormac was at a loss, both amused and exasperated.
"Caspian, Harry, you mustn't follow in Dad and uncle Cormac's footsteps. Two jerks in the family are enough. If you grow up to be jerks too, I can't handle it," Elisa said.
"Don't worry, Elisa, we definitely won't. We won't follow such jerk traditions," Caspian said.
"Yeah, as a perfect man with looks and height, how could I become a jerk?" Harry said.
"Suddenly, I don't feel like taking Caspian, Harry, and Elisa out," Cormac said, "Maybe you three should stay home with your dad."
"Come on, Uncle Cormac, how can you be so petty?" Caspian, Harry, and Elisa immediately hugged Cormac's leg. "Just take us with you."
Cormac teased, "Yeah, if you three go, Aurora will be the odd one out. That would be so cruel to her. Are you rewarding her or punishing her? Harry said, "We three can keep her company while you and Rowena get cozy. The four of us can play together, so Aurora won't be lonely." "Harry!" Cormac was really impressed.
Harry's mouth was really something.
Caspian, Harry, and Elisa said, "Just take us, please."
"Alright, alright, you three get your bags packed tonight, and we'll head out tomorrow," Cormac finally conceded.
"Yay!" The excitement in Caspian, Harry, and Elisa was palpable as they immediately retreated to their rooms to pack. They were so eager, in fact, that they insisted Cormac stay at his apartment that night, not wanting to risk missing the flight the next day.
Their determination left Alaric feeling a bit disheartened. "I figured Caspian, Harry, and Elisa might have some reservations about leaving me alone at home, but I guess I was wrong."
"Wishful thinking, huh?" Stellan said with a hint of amusement. "They're just six years old, for goodness' sake. It's a time for fun, and the fact they've been so considerate is already impressive. Be grateful."
"Grateful? How could I not be?" Alaric replied. "With such a wonderful, capable wife and three smart, understanding kids, I should be grinning in my sleep."
"Good to hear you're satisfied," Stellan said, shifting to a more serious tone. "By the way, I need to report to you that the online meeting today confirmed we're starting the jewelry company. Mr. Knight, care to make a name for our brand?" "A name for the jewelry brand?" Alaric pondered for a moment; then a smile crept across his face. "How about 'Alaric and Stellan Jewelry'?"
Stellan repeated the name, "Alaric and Stellan-our names?"
"Exactly. What do you think?"
"Sounds amazing," Stellan said, buttering him up. "Only a top-notch mind like yours could come up with something so perfect."
Alaric playfully pinched her waist, pretending to scold her. "You're really good at this flattery game."
"Not flattery-just heartfelt praise," Stellan said, though her words were cut short when Alaric sealed her lips with his own. With Caspian, Harry, and Elisa out of the picture for the night, it was their turn to enjoy some private time. Because of their life-and-death moments, their bond had grown stronger, and soon, Stellan took the initiative, kissing Alaric with a newfound fervor. After a while, they finally pulled away, and Stellan reminded him, "Don't let your mind wander to things it shouldn't. Your body isn't up for it right now."
"Turns out, it's not me thinking things I shouldn't, but you, my dear wife, thinking about things you shouldn't," Alaric teased, his tone light but mischievous.
"Alaric, you!" Stellan was both exasperated and amused. "You've managed to turn this around on me!"
"Alright, enough of that," Alaric said with a reassuring smile. "You've worked hard these past few days. Get some rest tonight; we've got a jewelry company to build. You'll be busy."
"Got it." Stellan nodded, a confident gleam in her eye. "I plan to establish Alaric and Stellan Jewelry as a significant player in the industry within six months. After that, you can take over and lead it to the top." "Sounds like a solid plan. Let's go with it," Alaric said, pulling Stellan close. He turned off the bedside lamp, and they snuggled into sleep together.
The next morning, Stellan headed to the office, while Caspian, Harry, and Elisa accompanied Cormac to the airport. Alaric decided to take the day off to think carefully about how to start investigating the Storm Family. "Nexus Innovations has made another big move after the entertainment city, now venturing into the jewelry market with a new brand named Alaric and Stellan Jewelry, a name steeped in romance," the news report read. With such a major announcement, Nexus Innovations dominated the headlines. Naturally, Ambrose took notice.
"Alaric and Stellan Jewelry?" Ambrose scoffed with envy. "Linking their names together-how charming."
"Mr. Vale, it's clear they're targeting us," Denny said with concern. "Seeing our jewelry company's success, Nexus Innovations is getting envious and is now launching its own line."
"Of course, it's deliberate," Ambrose acknowledged. He knew Stellan was behind this move, and it stung to see her becoming a competitor.
"Stellan, I love you deeply. Why must you be so confrontational? I genuinely don't want to hurt you, but you're forcing my hand."
Ambrose sighed heavily, leaning back in his chair, clearly distressed.
"Mr. Vale, if Nexus Innovations launches their jewelry company, they'll be direct competitors. Are you really going to make concessions just because of your feelings for Ms. Storm?" Denny asked, worry etched in his voice. Ambrose thought, 'Concessions?
'If Stellan still harbors feelings for me, I might consider it, but now...'
"I'd love to, but I've just taken charge. If I let a new jewelry company outshine us, Stuart might just lose it. I fought hard for everything I've got. There's no way I'm letting it slip away."
Ambrose let out another weary sigh, his frustration palpable. "Stellan, you're pushing me into this. You've made yourself my competitor, and now I have to respond."
