Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 286 Compared to Stellan, Other Women Were Philistine

Upon learning that she had to accompany Alaric to the International Jewelry Exhibition, with Todd also attending, Stellan was at a loss for what to wear. She spent a long time picking out clothes in her walk-in closet. "This one." Alaric finally picked out an outfit for her, but Stellan was speechless at his choice.

"In the middle of summer, are you trying to roast me?" Alaric had chosen a long-sleeved outfit for Stellan, which was conservative and covered everything.

"This fabric is good hot, right?" Alaric even touched it and said, "It's very breathable."

Stellan was speechless in anger. She pushed Alaric out of the room, saying, "Just go out. I'll pick something myself. Don't worry. I won't wear anything revealing." Stellan wasn't worried about anyone else, but Todd, the horny toad, made her feel disgusted. She had to ensure she was cool but covered up to avoid his leering.

In the end, Stellan chose a jumpsuit, which would make her feel much cooler than the one Alaric had picked. Alaric glanced at her and couldn't help but praise, "You have such natural charm that you'd look beautiful in anything, even a potato sack." "Save your flattery; I don't want to hear it," Stellan said.

"Yes, ma'am." Alaric said, offering his arm. Stellan gracefully took it, and they walked out together.

The exhibition hall for the International Jewelry Exhibition was in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The attendees were all seasoned jewelry enthusiasts from around the world, essentially wealthy people.

Since it was an international exhibition, participants came from various countries.

Todd was personally received by the organizers, with Ambrose following him like an attendant, completely overlooked.

"Alright, you go on with your affairs. I'll wander around on my own." Todd dismissed the organizer's host.

Todd found the best seat and lounged on the sofa, complaining, "If it weren't to annoy Alaric, I wouldn't have bothered coming to such a boring event."

'A jewelry exhibition? When have I ever been interested in such things?' Todd thought.

"Isn't it nice to check out the beauties?" Ambrose replied. Todd's only interest seemed to be women, and his eyes lingered on every woman he saw.

"Where are the beauties? Just some philistine women!" Todd said disdainfully, then looked at Ambrose with a particularly lecherous smile.

"Ambrose, I finally understand why you can't get over Stellan. She's truly gorgeous." Todd said lustfully, "Ever since I saw her last time, no other woman has caught my eye."

Ambrose remained silent. He had worried that Todd, a horny guy, would lust after Stellan once they were in Arizona. And he was right!

"Do you think a woman as hot as her is different in bed? How does it feel to sleep with her? Must be amazing, right?" Todd teased. Ambrose's face darkened. Only someone as shameless as Todd would speak such filth in public.

Seeing Ambrose's expression, Todd laughed wildly and mockingly asked, "Don't tell me you dated her for years and never slept with her?"

Ambrose said, "She was still in school then, and it was mostly a long-distance relationship. After she returned, Brennan was strict and rarely let her out at night."

After Todd heard Ambrose's explanation, his disdain was palpable, and his mocking laughter grew louder. "Useless! You loved her for years and never slept with her. Alaric really lucked out, marrying a virgin."

Ambrose still said nothing. At that moment, he noticed some commotion nearby. Todd looked over and saw Stellan, arm in arm with Alaric, walking over, surrounded by people.

Stellan's outstanding looks made her stand out in the crowd, almost as if she were glowing. For a rogue like Todd, who could sleep with anyone he wanted, seeing someone so unattainable made his desire uncontrollable.

"The more I look, the more enchanting she is. Just to sleep with her, I must bring Alaric down." Todd said, then looked at Ambrose with a playful smile, patting his chest. "Don't worry. After sleeping with her, I'll give her back to you. I understand."

Ambrose just kept a stern face, following behind to greet Alaric and Stellan.

"The exhibition has been going on for a while, Mr. Knight and Mrs. Knight, you're fashionably late," Todd said as he approached.

Seeing Todd, Stellan instinctively took a step back, keeping a safe distance.

"The exhibition lasts all day. We're here to appreciate the jewelry. What's the point of coming early? Can Mr. Vale even appreciate it?" Given Todd's nature, saying he was here for the beauties would be more accurate.

"This stuff is too classy for me, but I'm about to become a director of a jewelry company. So I have to learn. And I must say, the more I see, the more I like it."

Alaric gave a dismissive snort, ignoring Todd, and put his arm around Stellan's shoulder, saying, "Let's go, honey. I'll show you around."

"Okay," Stellan replied.

Alaric had a bit of a personal agenda for bringing Stellan. He had never formally proposed to her, and today's exhibition featured world-class, unique pieces.

The exhibited pieces would be available for purchase after the show, and Alaric wanted Stellan to see them.

Alaric kept his arm around Stellan, and they were very close. Todd watched from a distance, still lounging on the sofa. Today, Stellan was dressed very conservatively, with not an inch of skin showing except her face. 'How stingy,' he thought. Although Alaric was accompanying Stellan, he occasionally glanced at Todd, noticing that Todd's gaze was fixed on Stellan, which made him furious. "Alaric," Stellan called out.

"Huh?" Alaric snapped back to reality at Stellan's call.

"Check out this necklace. It's so pretty." Stellan admired a jeweled necklace.

"Buy it if you like," Alaric said.

"I do like it, but not for myself. I think this limited edition would be perfect for Rowena. I want to give it to her," Stellan explained.

"Sure, do as you like." Alaric then added, "What else do you like? Let's buy it all, or buy it now and give it to Elisa when she grows up."

"She's just a few years old. She doesn't need jewelry." Stellan refused outright.

As they continued browsing, Todd didn't dare to disturb them. When they were almost done, the organizers invited them to the VIP room, and Todd followed.
