Mommy,We Got a Husband -
Chapter 205 Did You Do These Things
Galatea was extremely tense now. She didn't expect Alaric to react so flippantly. How could he tease her like this?
"Alaric, can you be serious for a moment? I'm not joking with you," Galatea emphasized sternly.
Hearing Galatea say this, Alaric quickly wiped the smile off his face and became serious, replying, "I know you're not joking with me."
"Then what kind of reaction is this?" She had told Alaric that her ex-husband was coming to find her, and this was his reaction?
"What kind of reaction should I have? Should I feel threatened?" Alaric asked.
"Yes." Galatea realized her words weren't quite right, emphasizing, "Not threatened, you don't need to feel threatened, but you shouldn't be so indifferent either. That man is my husband; I mean, if the marriage agreement from seven years ago is real."
"It should be real." Actually, Alaric knew the marriage agreement was fake, but he wanted to tease her, "So legally, he's still your husband."
Galatea asked, "If you know that, then why are you still..."
Alaric suddenly seemed to think of something. "Well. Legally, you're still married, so I'm not your lover, am I?"
Galatea shouted, "Alaric!"
Galatea was really about to be driven mad by him!
She had wanted to honestly tell Alaric so that if the man she married showed up, Alaric could help her come up with a plan. She didn't expect Alaric not to take it seriously at all!
"You really are drunk!" Since Alaric had been drinking, Galatea decided to treat his words as drunken ramblings. "Stop talking and go to sleep. Starting today, you're quitting drinking. If you dare take another sip, I'll increase your medication." Galatea threatened, then lay down, turning her back to Alaric and closing her eyes.
Seeing her reaction, Alaric couldn't help but laugh. Galatea was just too cute.
Alaric was also truly exhausted today. The truth made him very uncomfortable.
He wished he could wake up and find it was all just a dream, with no murder, no schemes.
That none of the bad things had happened, and he could take Galatea, Caspian, and Elisa back to the Knight manor, and see his mother and Harry.
Then, they could all live happily ever after as a family.
But all those bad things had already happened, and no matter how many times he woke up, it wouldn't be a dream.
Galatea and Alaric had been anxious all day and fell asleep quickly. But tonight, the Nash family was destined to be sleepless.
After meeting Alaric, Cormac sat in the winery for a long time, unable to accept what had happened.
But Alaric's words were logical and well-founded, and combined with Griffon and Orion's reactions, could Alaric be telling the truth?
Thinking of this, Cormac got up and drove frantically back to the hospital, where Griffon and Orion were still in the ward.
After getting out of the car, Cormac ran all the way to the ward and forcefully pushed the door open.
Griffon was already irritable and shouted angrily, "What are you doing? Didn't I tell you to leave? Why are you back? Get out!"
"What do you think I'm doing?" Cormac, eyes red with anger, grabbed Griffon's collar. "Was it you who planned Galatea's car accident last time, and altered Alaric and Caspian's DNA result six years ago? Was it you?" Hearing this, Orion's legs went weak. Why was Cormac saying this?
Did Alaric tell Cormac? Did Alaric know everything?
Griffo roared, "What are you doing? Are you going to hit me?"
Cormac continued, "Answer me. Did you do these things? And what about the doctor who disappeared? What did you do to him?"
"You're crazy!" Griffon, enraged, punched Cormac in the face, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground.
Griffon sneered, "Did Alaric tell you all this? Alaric is framing me, and you believe him over me?"
Seeing Cormac sitting on the ground with blood at the corner of his mouth, Orion quickly helped him up and urged, "Cormac, we're still in the hospital, and Mom is still unconscious. Calm down." Mentioning Ravenna made Cormac even angrier. He shook off Orion's hand, stood up furiously, and questioned, "And why did Mom suddenly have a heart attack? Was it really because of something Galatea said? Tell me, what could Galatea have said to make my mom so angry?"
"What do you think? Why did your mom end up like this? If it wasn't Galatea, was it Orion and me who made her this way? Did Alaric tell you all this? Fine, if you believe everything he says, then why ask me? If you think I did all these things, call the police. Have them arrest me and take me in for questioning!" Griffon yelled at Cormac and then stormed out, slamming the door behind him. The atmosphere in the ward became suffocating.
Orion's heart was pounding. So Alaric knew everything. Did he have evidence?
All of a sudden, she was taken aback by the intense gaze Cormac fixed upon her. She tried to avoid his eyes, but Cormac grabbed her shoulders, forcing her to look at him.
"Orion, you knew everything, didn't you?" Cormac could tell from her reaction. "Alaric is wrong, and you two not do those things, right?"
"Say something!" Seeing Orion's evasive and silent demeanor, Cormac was really anxious.
"Cormac, please stop asking." Orion didn't dare to admit it, but she was also scared of Cormac's current state.
"So it's true? Griffon did all these things?" Cormac still couldn't believe it. "You knew from the beginning? You don't think Griffon was wrong?"
Orion was still silent. Cormac was really angry.
"Orion, do you know what you're doing? This is murder, and murder is punishable by death. Do you understand?"
Punishable by death? Hearing this, Orion's legs went weak, and she hurriedly shook her head. "Punishable by death? Galatea didn't die, did she? Since she didn't die, why should I be punished? Cormac, don't scare me. I don't want to die."
