Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 16 She's Truly Being Tricked by Alaric

Galatea arrived at Silver Star Hotel deep in thought. Alaric had dismissed her, but would Galen really offer her another chance?

Checking her call log, she indeed found a landline number. She was tempted to call back for confirmation but decided against it. Why would her child lie?

Room 8808 was the presidential suite on the top floor. The kind of person who could afford such a room might also be the type who'd want to avoid the hospital and request a confidential medical visit. Approaching the door, she was about to knock when it suddenly swung open. Was this arranged for her convenience? It was a thoughtful touch.

Galatea entered silently, just as Harry had recently tricked Alaric into taking a shower, hiding behind the door. As she stepped inside, Harry quietly slipped out and closed the door behind her.

Galatea paused for a moment when she heard the door shut but didn't dwell on it.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Galatea from Serenity Heights Medical Center. Did you call for a doctor?" The presidential suite was enormous, and she couldn't see anyone in the vast foyer. She spoke out of courtesy but was met with no response. Harry, having left the room, immediately called Caspian with excitement: "It's about to work out!"

There was a long silence from Caspian.

"Caspian, what's wrong? Why aren't you saying anything?" Harry, anxious without a reply, pressed for an answer.

"Is it really okay to deceive Mom like this? She trusts me so much, and she'll be so angry if she finds out." His longing for Galatea's maternal love was profound-what if she got mad, pushed him away, or stopped loving him? "Yeah, I feel a bit guilty. But think about it, we're doing this for their happiness, so they can be together openly. You also want to go home to a place where your mom and dad are waiting, right?" Harry reasoned with him. "Yes," Caspian admitted, his guilt somewhat alleviated by the thought.

"We look so much alike; you want to be my brother, right?" Harry suggested.

"Not really. I only have affection for Mom, and Elisa is adorable too," Caspian replied.

Harry fell silent.

"All right, I'll be in touch if there's anything else. I'm hanging up now." And with that, Caspian ended the call before Harry could voice his concern about what was truly troubling him. Harry sighed. No point in worrying now. The bigger picture was more important.

"Mom, I've put in the effort for your future. Don't be mad at me," Harry muttered to himself as he stepped into the elevator, looking to reward himself with a drink somewhere serene.

Back in the suite, Galatea repeated her introduction, still without a reply. She decided to venture further in and then heard the sound of running water from the bathroom.

Was someone taking a bath? And they'd let her in during a shower? Were they even decent?

Contemplating whether to advance or retreat with the sound of showering in the background, Galatea was about to leave when Alaric emerged from the bathroom.

Clad only in his bathrobe, his muscular chest on display and a hint of the scene further into the bathroom visible, droplets of water adorned his hair.

A moment of surprised eye contact followed for the two of them.

"Why are you here?"

"How did you get in?"

They were both taken aback, brimming with confusion.

"Where's Caspian?" Alaric scanned the room, but not finding Caspian, he grew wary.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Galatea responded. "You asked me to come check on you. What's wrong? Where are you hurting?" If she had known it was this man, she certainly wouldn't have come. "Quit changing the subject. Where's my son?"

"Alaric, what kind of delusions are you suffering from? How many times do I have to tell you!" Galatea was exasperated. What on earth was this man talking about?

"Caspian?" Not bothering her any longer, Alaric started shouting Caspian's name all over the room, but there was no response.

"Galatea, you've certainly got some nerves coming to this hotel to take my son. I've underestimated you!" Alaric warned fiercely. "Hand over my son now, or this will get a lot more complicated than just a simple interrogation!" By now, Galatea was fuming. This man was visibly sick, but not with something she could cure.

"Stop with your threats and just call the police. I want justice, too." Galatea couldn't be bothered to explain any longer. Let the police sort it out.

Alaric had never seen a woman so brazen before.

"How exactly did you charm my son?" Alaric stepped forward and grabbed her wrist. "What are you truly after?"

"I'm telling you one last time, I don't know your son, and I haven't tried to take him. I don't understand what you're saying. Just call the cops." Continuing this back-and-forth, she felt like she was going to go mad herself. She had decided to call the police, but before she could dial, the sound of high heels approached from outside, followed by a knocking on the door.

"Alaric, I know you're in there. Open the door. Let's talk this out, okay? I don't want our relationship to end I can't accept it. Give me one more chance, please, just one more. Alaric?" Hearing this, Galatea was perplexed. Was this his wife? Such a disturbed man, yet was his wife still so enamored with him?

Galatea couldn't understand it. Meanwhile, Alaric's stern brows furrowed in irritation, his expression darkening like a lion ready to pounce at any moment.

Snatching up his phone, Alaric dialed a number and growled into the receiver: "Cormac, you have ten minutes to get your sister away from my hotel room door, or there'll be hell to pay!" Alaric ended the call and tossed his phone aside as the wails outside the door intensified.

"Alaric, please open the door. Give me another chance. Whatever I did wrong, I'll change," Orion pleaded through her sobs.

As Galatea stood there, unsure of what to do next, Alaric's body suddenly pressed against hers, and he kissed her.

Galatea's mind went blank, and before she could utter a word, he spoke: "Do as I say, then return my son to me, and all will be forgiven."

What did he mean? What was this man trying to do? A sense of danger washed over Galatea. Was this man trying to sleep with her? Indeed, before she could even react, she found herself thrown onto the bed, and he quickly mounted her. "Moan," Alaric commanded.

"Moan?" Galatea's mind was empty. "Moan what?"

"Do I really need to teach you how to moan in bed?" At that moment, Alaric looked like a devil in her eyes.
