"I also didn't expect that you'd be flirting with Galatea while hospitalized," Cormac said. He glanced at Galatea, who had run out of the room with a red face. He asked, "Did you two make up?"

"There wasn't really a fight to begin with."

Hearing this, Cormac cursed him in his heart. Wasn't it thanks to him that they reconciled? He put in so much effort into defending Alaric to Galatea.

"Mrs. Marigold called me, asking about your hospitalization. I've been worried all along, afraid that she'd come rushing over to visit you. I didn't expect it not to affect you at all," Cormac said. "My mom wanted to find Galatea, but she failed," Alaric replied.

"Why did she want to find Galatea?" Cormac asked.

"Don't you know why? She definitely blames Galatea over me and Orion's break-up," Alaric answered.

"That makes sense; it's definitely possible for Mrs. Marigold to think that way. However, that's really a problem. If you want to marry Galatea, Mrs. Marigold will be the first to disapprove. After all, she places great importance on family development and social status," Cormac said.

"Yes," Alaric knew Mrs. Marigold very well. "She won't agree to me marrying Galatea, but I honestly don't care. I'm just worried that she'll secretly harm Galatea."

"That's true. In this case, your mother's way is the same as my dad's, and it's really terrifying," Cormac commented.

"I'm still in the hospital now, so I can't be by Galatea's side all the time. Can you find someone to protect her?" Alaric instructed.

"Don't worry. She has done us a favor before, so I won't let anything happen to her," Cormac promised.

Outside the ward, Galatea heard their conversation clearly. After hearing what Alaric said, she felt warm in her heart.
