Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 122 Are You Concerned About Me?

It was from Mrs. Marigold's driver. He carefully reported, "Mrs. Marigold, the security guard here says that our car is blocking the fire exit and needs to be moved immediately." He had to inform her of this. Otherwise, she'd surely reprimand him if she returned and found the car missing.

Hearing this, she ended the call and gave Auntie Lynn a sharp look. Then, she turned around and left.

After she left, Auntie Lynn complained, "Where did this barbarian come from? She's absolutely insane!"

On the other hand, Ambrose was sitting in his car wearing sunglasses. He saw Mrs. Marigold walk out and get into her car, driving away. He started his car and followed behind. He had just made a complaint call to the property management of the residential area, and they responded quite promptly.

"Mrs. Marigold, where are we going now?" the driver asked cautiously after the car left the residential area.

Mrs. Marigold didn't expect she'd fail to find Galatea today. However, she already knew Galatea's address, so she wasn't worried about not being able to find her in the future. "Go home."

"Okay."

Ambrose followed her car all the way back home before turning around.

According to Mrs. Marigold, she didn't know Galatea. Did she really not know Galatea, or did she not recognize Stellan because she changed her name? This was interesting! "What did you say?" Alaric immediately stood up when he received Silas's call. "My mom went to find Galatea? When did this happen?"

"About ten minutes ago."

"Why are you telling me now?" he scolded.

He quickly called Galatea, but the ringtone indicated the call couldn't be connected. This woman really angered him; she actually blocked him, and she hadn't undone it! He was getting an IV drip at the moment, but he couldn't care less. He removed the needle and ran out of the ward in a hurry.

Knowing Mrs. Marigold's personality, she'd definitely confront Galatea without considering any other factors. Now, all he could think of was the former secretary whom she drove to suicide.

He couldn't let Galatea experience the same thing, so he kept speeding up. Just as he was about to arrive at her house, he suddenly thought of a problem.

According to Cormac, she was now starting her own business and wouldn't be at home during the day. Moreover, Silas also didn't know her shop address, so Mrs. Marigold couldn't find her. But just in case... Everpeace Street?

Alaric immediately turned the steering wheel and headed toward Everpeace Street.

Galatea spent her days here now, and it was close to noon. The construction workers had all gone for their lunch break while she was tidying up the debris, planning to finish cleaning up before lunch. However... "Bang!"

Hearing a loud door slamming, she was frightened. Were those hooligans here again?

She hurried to check and never expected to see Alaric rushing in.

"Alaric?" she asked in amazement. "Why are you here?"

Seeing that she was fine, Alaric was relieved. He felt his body go weak, leaning against the door.

"Are you alright?" he asked anxiously.

"Are you okay? Why did you suddenly come here at this moment?" Galatea asked again. "How did you know where I am?"

After she asked, she found her question pointless; it must be Cormac told him.

Ambrose was watching clearly through his telescope. After tracking Mrs. Marigold down, he went straight home.

He was worried she'd cause trouble for Galatea, so he kept observing through the telescope. Unexpectedly, it wasn't Mrs. Marigold who came, but Alaric.

Seeing the two together, he clenched his fists. He watched Galatea walking to the door to support Alaric. Was Stellan being nervous?

How could she be? Was it from love? Impossible! She has only loved him!

"What happened to you?"

Alaric's health was already poor, and on top of that, he came rushing over in such a hurry. His heart was pounding, his breathing irregular.

Seeing him like this, Galatea was startled. The last time he had an episode, he was like this at the hotel.

Alaric couldn't answer her question due to his labored breathing.

She quickly helped him sit on a bench and noticed the needle marks on his hand.

Realizing he was really unhealthy, she quickly got her medical box and then gave him an injection to help stabilize his breathing.

Her place was currently in renovations, so there wasn't a proper place. Thus, she had to let him lie down on a worn-out couch, which was where the construction workers rested. "Feeling better now?" she busily handed him a cup of water.

"I'm fine." Alaric had recovered by now, standing up to take the cup.

"Where did you come from? The hospital?" Galatea was a doctor, so she could tell he had pulled off an IV drip midway, even more so with the blood traces on the needle mark.

He hadn't been around for a while; was he in the hospital? Did he have another episode?

"Do you really want to know?"

"Now isn't time for jokes. Tell me! Did you have an episode?" Galatea anxiously asked.

Alaric stared at her, seeing the worry and anxiety in her eyes. He then smirked and asked, "Are you concerned about me?"

"Alaric Knight!" Galatea was truly enraged. Was this a time for teasing?

"Quickly answer me. Did you have an episode or not?"

During his hospitalization, Alaric didn't want her to know. But now, seeing how worried she was, he wanted to tell her.

"Yeah," he said casually, "I almost died; they said it was a cardiac arrest."

"Cardiac arrest?" Hearing that, Galatea was terrified, then anxious and angry. "What did you do? Didn't I prescribe medication for you before? Didn't you take it on time? Are you even..." Before she could finish, he hugged her tightly. He then stared at her intently and asked, "Are you worried?"

"Alaric, I..."

"I don't want to hear anything else. Just tell me, are you worried about me or not? Hmm?" his tone was particularly seductive, his expression captivating.
