After getting this clue, Galatea immediately went out for a taxi. She urged the driver, "Please hurry!"

"I'm asking you!" she sharply reprimanded after some silence.

"Mr. Alaric is on a business trip, Mrs. Marigold," he blurted out without thinking. Having followed Alaric for so many years, he knew the latter wouldn't want him to tell the truth. "On a business trip?"

Silas felt even more guilty upon hearing Mrs. Marigold's skeptical tone and could only respond, "Yes."

"What kind of work requires him to go there himself?" she clearly didn't believe it and reproached, "What're you all planning?"

"It's my fault, Mrs. Marigold," Silas immediately admitted his mistake.

She didn't bother with him anymore and instead called Alaric, who was currently napping.

Feeling incredibly bored, Alaric was actually excited from the phone ringing, hoping it was Galatea. However, it wasn't... "Hello, Mom."

"Where did you go on your business trip?"

"Are you back?"
