“Or who knows that he came to check on her when no one was around?” Wylder suggested. “We all know what kind of person Colton is. He stays away from the limelight.” Wylder tried to convince her, but deep down he was worried too. “I will use my power to find him, okay? “Calm down, now.” He broke the hug, wiping her tears.

‘You can find someone who is missing, Human. Not someone who is hiding willingly. And Colton is smart; if he is really hidden, finding him is not going to be a piece of cake.’ Night said.

“Here, drink some water,” Wylder said as he was passing a glass of water towards her.

“I heard that you got a breeder for your heir,” Eden stated after drinking the water.

“Yes, I did,” Wylder said and waited for her to say anything, but Eden didn’t object. She knew that Wylder wasn’t a kid, so she didn’t decide to poke her nose into his decision.

“I hope you get her background checked before releasing all your seeds inside her because the last thing we want is to get blackmailed by that breeder.”

“Hm,” Wylder hummed.

“You’re hiding something from me, aren’t you?” Eden asked because she didn’t miss observing how he was looking at someone else when Tiara was in his arms. “Tee told us that you both are second-chance mates, but for some reason, I can’t see that happiness in your eyes.”

‘Of course, she would have told them. She couldn’t keep her mouth shut.’ Wylder thought, knitting his eyebrow.

“Mom, I want to stay alone for a while,” Wylder spoke, and Eden nodded her head.

“Sure! Remember that both your moms will always support you. We both love and adore Tee a lot, but your happiness matters to us the most.” She added with a smile before leaving his office.

Ede had barely left his office when there was another knock. He knew this was Tiara by her smell, but he wanted to stay alone.

At the same time, he wanted to hear what she had to say.

“Come in.” He said, and she walked in confidently as if she owned this office.

“Wild,” She spoke and tried to reach near him again when Wylder stepped back, signaling her to stay away from him. “I know you’re mad at him. After what I did, you have every reason to. I don’t know where to start, Wild. But Moon Goddess heard my prayers by pairing us.” She said it with a smile. Wylder bit his lips from not smiling at her words. He wanted to hear those words from her for a long time. He didn’t remember the way his heart fluttered at anyone’s voice before.

“How about I start questioning and you answer those questions?”

“Sure!! Go ahead.”

“Why were you looking for me?” Wylder asked

“Because I… I regretted every word that I said to you. I regret breaking your heart. I regretted not stopping you from leaving. I regretted…”

“What about Theodore? Didn’t you want him in your life?” He asked, cutting him in between.

“About him.” Tiara made a disgusted face. She wondered where to start, and then she spoke after a pause: “Waiting for him to love me was the biggest mistake that I ever made.” But he never wanted me.” With that, she told him about his visit to her penthouse a day after he had left her and also about the conversation that she had had with Theodore.

Wylder could relate to that conversation because he had heard a part of it but was left in the middle as he could hear what was going to happen next.

“He didn’t want me, Wild, and even if he wanted to have me back then, I was going to reject his offer. Because the moment I kissed him to feel whether I had any feelings for him or not, it was all blank. I didn’t realize it then, but after a while, I understood that I had already moved on in my life and had fallen in love with you without realizing it.” Tiara looked at him with her hopeful green eyes, thinking that he might kick his anger out of the window after learning that she loved him.

But nothing happened.

Wylder’s expression was still cold.

“I’m sorry, Wild..” Saying this, she tried to reach him when Wylder growled at her. Well, it wasn’t Wylder but Night.

“Dare you to use Mate Bond to get inside my pants, Tiara Haysbert?” He roared, scaring the snot out of her. He smelt fear. Fear that his red had stopped feeling whenever he used to be mad because she knew that he wouldn’t hurt her. “You apologized to us, and we heard that, but that doesn’t mean we forgive you. Work hard for your forgiveness.” He disappeared after growling at her for one last time.

“I’m sorry on his behalf, but he lost it when he heard you k**s Theodore, even though it lasted for a few seconds,” Wylder explained. “Well, that’s really funny that you had to k**s someone to realize that you were in love with me,” he chuckled.

“I’m sorry, Wild. I’m terribly sorry for that. Please forgive me.” Tiara said, shedding tears. “I’m a fool who realized how much I missed you. I thought that you were just a habit and even told the same to Lee when she asked me about falling in love with you.”

“I’m sorry for taking so much time to realize that I loved you, Wild. I loved you back then, even before you left me, and I still love you now.”

“I tried to do everything that was in my power to get in touch with you, but you had disappeared knowingly. And even Colton wasn’t there, so finding you wasn’t an easy job. You and both your moms didn’t attend any celebration that we held, whether it was for Lee’s official marriage or when Calvin’s sextuplets were born.”

“I did everything that was in my power to find you. Hell, I even contacted witches in the hope that they could find you, but nothing worked. I ended up on bedrest after I had an accident on my head. See…” With that, she removed her hair and showed him a big scar on her head, which was hidden by her hair. “And in order to save me, Dora has to sacrifice herself.” Wylder’s heart missed a beat when he heard this. He watched her coming towards him, but this time he didn’t stop her, and neither did Night say a word because the fact that Dora was no more had made it hard to breathe.

In the end, she finally closed the gap between them, saying, “If Dora had been here, she would have lunged at you, calling you mate nonstop.” She spoke seductively, while her finger touched his neck sensually. A wave of spark ran all over his body again.

There was no doubt that she was his second-chance mate. He was a wizard, and if someone had used magic to fool him, he would have found it by now.

“If Dora had been here, by now she would have marked you already. She wasn’t someone with patience.” Tiara spoke, running her finger over his collarbone now while her eyes were on his lips. Wylder couldn’t help but recall all the things that Tiara had told him about Dora in the past. She was a fun-loving, naughty, and always excited type of wolf. She wanted to mark Theodore on the very night they met. So, yes, if Dora had been here, she would have marked him right away.

He was distracted for a while, and in a flash, his shirt’s button was unbuttoned.

“Didn’t Night tell you about not using the mate bond?” Wylder said, but he didn’t step away from her, smelling her arousal.

“Then stop pushing me away, Wild,” Tiara whispered and lifted her body a little to slam her lips against his. Wylder’s breath hitched when he tasted her lips again after a long time. It still had the same flavor as before. Her scent invaded his power to think and understand. The next thing he knew, his hand cupped her face and he kissed her back with the same passion, bringing her close.
