Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) -
Chapter 1411
The show's producers had indeed set the rules in stone. Brielle glanced at King with a touch of sympathy, wondering how he managed to handle being paired with Jiang Yu. She found the whole situation amusing but had to stifle her laughter to keep it from escaping. King noticed her barely-contained amusement, and it stung a bit. "What's so funny?" he asked, a hint of irritation creeping into his voice.
"Nothing," Brielle replied, trying to keep a straight face as she coughed lightly to compose herself.
The production team clapped their hands, bringing everyone's focus back. "Alright, everyone, remember those points are crucial. The person with the most points at the end of the show wins a half-day all to themselves at Beaconsville Amusement Park. It's no small prize. This is the biggest park around, and the staff will cater to the winner's every whim."
Brielle's eyes lit up with excitement. "Seriously? I heard that park's got international backing. It seems pretty far-fetched to shut it down for just one person, especially with their nightly fireworks drawing crowds from everywhere. The loss would be huge."
The production team smiled knowingly. "Mr. Haywood, we've partnered with the local government and the park. Trust us, we've got the backing we need."
Hints of a nearby benefactor who'd invested a fortune to make this happen only fueled the excitement among the group.
"A private half-day at such a park with all the staff at your service? That's world-class," someone marveled.
These parks, known for their cutting-edge attractions, only existed in the wealthiest countries, often becoming the ultimate dreamland for kids and teens alike.
Noticing the sparkle in Brielle's eyes, King leaned closer and whispered, "If you really want this, leave it to me. I'll make sure we get the highest score."
Brielle was tempted, but the thought of the effort required, especially to maintain high scores, gave her pause. King had pushed himself hard for those fifty points today, and the idea of him keeping that up worried her.
"It's just an amusement park. If we want, we can rent it out another time. I don't want you overworking yourself," she reasoned.
"It's not the same," King insisted, his voice sincere.
Their exchange, caught by the microphones, sent the live audience into a frenzy of cheers and swoons.
"Could these two be any more adorable?"
"How lucky are we to hear Mr. Dorsey, the ice king, speak so tenderly?"
"Brielle's so thoughtful. Mr. Dorsey's effort today wasn't easy, and keeping it up will be tough. They're both so sweet."
Meanwhile, Jiang Yu, feeling ignored by King, tried again. "Mr. Dorsey, could you spare me ten points?"
King's patience was wearing thin as he turned to her, clearly annoyed. "Earn them yourself."
His earlier calm, thanks to Brielle's soothing presence, kept him from snapping. Jiang Yu, misjudging his restraint as a sign of charm,

"Come on, Mr. Dorsey, we're on the same team. Sharing is caring, right? You wouldn't let me go hungry," she coaxed.
King's frustration was evident, but before he could respond, Samuel stepped in trying to keep the peace. "I can spare you three points. That should be enough to trade with the production team so you won't go to bed hungry."
Jiang Yu rotted her eyes, undeterred. "If you're offering, why not make

Samuel, ever the gentleman, was on the verge of agreeing when Brielle's voice cut through, ready to address the situation.
