In the past, Raegan repeatedly warned herself that she would never fall in love with Mitchel again, those painful moments serving as a painful reminder. However, the more he held back, the more his emotions grew wildly inside him.

Upon their return, as they resolved their misunderstandings one after another, Raegan couldn't help but develop feelings for Mitchel.

Mitchel had always been by her side, silently supporting her and treating her with kindness throughout this time. Even when she disliked his controlling nature, he worked hard to change for the better.

Since her feelings for him were undeniable, why not give them a chance? Instead of thinking about the past, he decided to follow his heart. Maybe time would tell if they were made for each other.

Regardless of the outcome, they at least tried to get along, preventing regret from entering the picture.

Finally, with new resolve, Raegan nodded gently but decisively. "Mitchel, let's give ourselves a chance."

"What did you say?" Mitchel couldn't believe his ears and put his hand over her mouth. «Bite me. "I'm not sure if I'm dreaming or having an illusion."

He seemed overwhelmed by the happiness her words brought him, feeling the joy was surreal.

A pang of pain touched Raegan's heart, her eyes shining. "Mitchel, don't make me sad again." He didn't want her trust in him to be misplaced.

Mitchel's eyes flashed, his mouth clamped shut, as he chose to remain silent. The next moment, he quickly leaned over, pulled her close, and gave her a soft, lingering kiss.

After the kiss, he caressed Raegan's face, his voice rough with emotion. "I will love you at all times until the end of my days."

Raegan didn't like those words. They had just agreed to give their relationship a chance. Such a promise seemed too heavy.

She looked at him. "Please don't talk like that."

Mitchel just smiled and hugged her tighter, resting his head on her shoulder.

Then Raegan felt her neck get wet. She trembled slightly and realized she had shed a tear. Without saying a word, she hugged him tightly.

Only when his hand brushed her skin did she stop and pull away, her voice worried: "Mitchel, does your back hurt?"

He vividly remembered the hit of the stone. Mitchel's complexion had visibly paled from the blow.

"It doesn't hurt me anymore." Despite his paleness, Mitchel smiled. "Just knowing you're safe is all the healing I need."

Raegan, unconvinced by his stoic facade, remembered the size of the rock that had hit him, something she doubted anyone could downplay.

With concern in her eyes, she began to unbutton his shirt to inspect the damage. "I need to see it for myself."

Mitchel stopped her by pressing her hand against her chest, in a playful tone. «Why such a hurry? Would you like to do this outside?

Concentrating on inspecting his wound, Raegan tried to free her hand.

"What's wrong with being outside?"

Mitchel raised an eyebrow. «We have spectators. Doesn't it bother you?
