Chapter 1590:

? ? ? ? ?

The assistant conveyed the message with meticulous care.

To intervene now would mean directly challenging the Dixon Group, a force stronger than the Schultz Group in financial resources and capabilities.

Historically, the two companies, led by presidents with a long-standing friendly relationship, never crossed paths as competitors, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect. Despite sporadic interactions, neither tried to stimulate the other's progress.

The Dixon Group's recent decision to align itself with Roscoe seems unfair.

The Watts family situation had already sparked widespread debate, with outside speculation suggesting that the Schultz Group had been holding Roscoe back because of Doreen.

Jarrod's conspicuous silence on the matter spoke volumes, suggesting a desire for Roscoe's downfall.

The aide doubted that Mitchel, the chairman of the Dixon Group, was unaware of this situation. If Mitchel did indeed choose to associate with the Watts family despite these circumstances, wouldn't that be a direct affront to Jarrod? Weren't Mitchel and Jarrod friends?

The Watts family was in chaos and not an attractive prospect for the Dixon Group to invest in. Jarrod was amazed at Roscoe's ability to persuade Mitchel, knowing that Mitchel only invested where he saw genuine potential, immune to pressure.

But how had Roscoe gotten involved with Mitchel? Raegan seemed the likely connector, possibly through Nicole's intervention.

Jarrod, with a smirk, watched Nicole's decisive actions. She was determined not to let Roscoe suffer even the slightest bit. "Let's put this aside for now," she declared, not wanting to confront Mitchel just yet, but determined to find an explanation later.

On Jarrod's desk was a letter from a lawyer Nicole had hired. Jarrod scoffed. Nicole was truly amazing, having hired a daring lawyer willing to take on her case.

A custody battle? Visitation rights? She had made her position clear. If Nicole chose Roscoe, she must not get her hopes up about ever seeing Austin again. She would not allow her son to address Roscoe as “Dad,” or even “Uncle.”

Disgusted, Jarrod tapped the firm's name and said, "I never want to see this firm again."

His assistant acknowledged: “Understood, Mr. Schultz.”

The law firm in question soon faced a rigorous tax investigation, which led to its closure.

Meanwhile, Nicole, still in the hospital for a check-up, was filled with anxiety. The initial results of her pregnancy test were ambiguous, but her persistent nausea fueled her concern. She waited for the results of the blood test and, after an agonizing wait, received the report.

The results showed elevated levels. Nicole's heart sank as the doctor announced, "Congratulations, young lady, you're pregnant."

Stunned, Nicole replied: “What? How is this possible? They had already removed part of my stomach. How can I be pregnant in my condition?”

“You have had stomach surgery, but your uterus is not affected,” the doctor explained. “Your uterus is in good condition, although a little cold, but the aftercare was effective. Although your chances were slim, pregnancy was not impossible. And now, indeed, you are pregnant.”

Overwhelmed, Nicole struggles for words and barely grasps reality.

The doctor, smiling, reassures her: “This is wonderful news. Please inform the father as soon as possible. “I will prepare a prenatal check-up file for him here.”
