Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 15
Chapter 15:
? ? ? ? ?
«Why does it become a problem when I say no to accompanying my husband to see his secret lover? Don't I have the right to say no anymore? Look, Mitchel. You are free to do whatever you want with Lauren. But please don't make me do such a thing, okay? Don't you think you're being cruel? What have I done to deserve this?
Raegan let go of Mitchel directly.
His heart hurt so much as if a million ants were biting him at the same time.
All she had done was love that man. Was that a crime now?
For a long time, he had always been obedient to her. He said yes to all his whims. Is that why Mitchel took her for a fool?
Tears were streaming down Raegan's face and there was nothing she could do to stop them.
She was so pathetic!
Raegan had reached her limit. If he didn't vent now, he was going to lose his mind.
A trace of surprise appeared on Mitchel's handsome face as he looked at Raegan.
“Are you jealous?” Mitchel deliberately raised his tone as he spoke.
Meanwhile, Raegan lowered her eyes.
He was well aware that his marriage would end soon. What right did she have to be jealous now?
After biting her lower lip hard, she replied angrily: “Of course not!
I just remind you that our marriage has not yet been annulled. So you shouldn't go too far. What would you think if I found another man and slept with him…?
“Raegan!” Mitchel interrupted Raegan with his piercing gaze.
His eyes suddenly darkened. As he leaned in, his faint scent reached Raegan's nose.
“Hmm…”
Raegan was forced to swallow the words on the tip of her tongue.
Mitchel had just kissed her suddenly.
His eyes shot open and his mind went blank.
“Raegan.” Mitchel stopped the kiss abruptly and said her name hoarsely. It sounded like music to her ears and made her moisten.
Raegan was still speechless.
With his eyebrows raised, Mitchel covered his eyes and said, "Hey, you have to blink."
His lips stretched into a smile as he watched her face. OMG, she looked so innocent and cute!
Mitchel looked down at her chest and imagined taking her here and now.
Without further ado, Mitchel pinched Raegan's chin and resumed the kiss.
He sucked and nipped at Raegan's delicate lips as if he were tasting a new delicacy.
Mitchel was a very good kisser. He kissed her with so much passion, but so roughly. His kiss made her lose all senses.
The air in the car warmed up in the blink of an eye.
The only thing holding them back was the seat belts.
Mitchel slowly leaned into Raegan as he kissed her more aggressively.
A rough bite on her lips sent a warning signal to Raegan's brain.
He reached out to push it away.
But the attempt was in vain.
The kiss lasted a long time. Just when she was about to run out of breath, Mitchel finally let go of her. He said in a tempting voice, “Now, are you going to talk nonsense again?”
The sight of her swollen red lips made Mitchel feel very satisfied.
He had just shown her that she should never mention the possibility of meeting another man. In fact, the rough kiss was just the tip of the iceberg.
Raegan blinked several times. His mind was still in a fog.
Why had Mitchel kissed her again?
Even after signing the divorce.
What was he up to?
Mitchel reached out to wipe the tears from her flushed cheeks. His voice was very soft.
"Let's take you home."
Hearing that, Raegan turned her face away in disgust and even moved away from him like he was a plague.
«Our marriage is about to end. "Don't do that again," he warned solemnly.
As far as she was concerned, he had made his decision. I shouldn't kiss her anymore. What the hell did he have in mind? Make her your partner?
Looking into her teary eyes, Mitchel suddenly said in a low voice, "I'm sorry."
Raegan clenched her fists silently. Strangely, Mitchel's apology only made his chest feel heavier.
«The only thing I want from you is your love. Since you can't give me that, you should take your sympathy and stick it where the sun doesn't shine!
Raegan said in her head.
After a moment of silence, he spoke calmly.
«Don't take your grandfather's words too seriously. As an adult, I have to be independent. "You don't have to take care of me all the time like a child."
Mitchel frowned and said, “Raegan, even though we are no longer a couple, you will always be my family. "I will continue to take care of you as I always have."
For some reason, his scent filled the air again.
Raegan knew she had to stop thinking about him.
She couldn't keep lying to herself.
If all Mitchel could give her was his sympathy, then she didn't want her.
"It's not necessary, but thank you," Raegan said hoarsely. "It is better that we cut all ties between us after the divorce."
She knew she would be signing up for emotional torture if she stayed in contact with him after their marriage ended.
“Raegan…” Mitchel started with a frown, but was interrupted by the sound of his ringtone.
"Let's go. “Your beloved is waiting for you,” Raegan urged calmly.
The rest of the journey passed in silence. As soon as the car stopped in front of the Crystal Bay apartment building, Raegan got out and drove away without looking back.
There was no sound of the engine restarting even when he entered the apartment.
Raegan didn't understand why Mitchel was acting like this. Shouldn't you be in a hurry to meet your first and only love?
Anyway, screw it! She was going to divorce him no matter what.
It was the only way to save himself from a life full of disappointments.
In other words, the sooner she got divorced, the better for her.
The next day, Raegan spent the entire day at home. On Sunday morning, Nicole asked her out.
The two friends walked down the street for a while. Later, Nicole suggested they go to a spa. Raegan didn't want to go for fear that some of the products would be harmful to the baby. He decided to go to a nearby mall to kill time while he waited for Nicole.
As Raegan walked past a mother-and-baby store, she saw an image of a baby on a large screen. The baby was very cute.
Raegan stopped and entered the store involuntarily.
The shop assistant greeted her cordially and asked: “Good morning, miss.
What do you want me to help you with?
"No, thanks. "I'll take a look first."
Raegan wasn't wearing makeup. His eyes were bright and his skin glowed. She looked like a college student, so the clerk thought Raegan had come to buy a gift for someone.
He smiled and said, “Well, this area is for general products.
You can choose the products yourself and put them in a basket.
The checkout counter is right there, it's very convenient with the machines. We will send you the pregnancy books for free if you order today.
After the brief introduction, the saleswoman bowed and left.
Raegan looked at all kinds of clothes on the shelves. Most of the baby clothes were pink and blue.
The sight of all those cute clothes filled his heart with a strange warmth.
Now she realized that she was going to be a real mother.
Raegan rubbed her belly and wondered what sex the baby was. If he was a boy, he would look like Mitchel...
A bitter feeling suddenly arose in Raegan's heart.
Most likely, the boy's resemblance to Mitchel wouldn't change anything. That man was obsessed with Lauren.
Not to spoil her mood, Raegan pushed those thoughts away. He picked out some clothes from the shelves.
Then he paid the bill and left the store. After taking a few steps, he heard a familiar voice.
Raegan turned her head and saw a tall man in front of a jewelry store. I could recognize that broad back even in my dreams.
It was Mitchel.
Fueled by the joy of shopping for her unborn child, Raegan didn't think twice before starting to walk towards Mitchel.
He parted his lips to say something when a female voice rang out.
"Mitchel."
Raegan froze in place when she saw a woman in a blue dress appear next to Mitchel.
Lowering his head, Mitchel looked at the woman and asked gently, "Are you done?"
«Yes, thank you for joining me. "You are a charm." The woman turned around as she spoke. It was none other than the fragile Lauren.
The saleswoman handed her the gift bag and said with a smile: “Madam, you are very lucky. “Her husband is so handsome and loving.”
Raegan's smile disappeared in an instant as she stood still.
The clerk said Mitchel was Lauren's husband?
Did they act like lovers? Oh, they already acted like a couple even before they got married?
Raegan suddenly felt very dizzy and her vision blurred. He wanted to leave immediately, but his feet were too heavy.
Boom!
The shopping bag in her hand fell to the ground. Everything he had bought was scattered on the floor.
“Raegan!” Lauren, who had just seen Raegan, screamed.
"What a coincidence!"
Mitchel also looked in their direction and raised his eyebrows in surprise.
What was Raegan doing here?
Raegan hurriedly squatted down and stuffed all the baby clothes into the shopping bag.
At this moment, Mitchel approached.
His tall figure and majestic walk made him look like he had just stepped out of a painting. Heads turned in his direction.
Approaching, Mitchel bent down to pick up the book on the floor and wanted to pass it to Raegan.
It was exactly the book that introduced the knowledge about pregnancy that I had just received from the saleswoman.
Raegan's heart skipped a beat.
"What is this for?"
Mitchel glanced at the cover of the book and tried to open it. However, Raegan snatched it from his hands.
"Not at all". Raegan threw the book into the bag immediately.
A trace of suspicion flashed in Mitchel's eyes. He became even more curious. When she looked up and saw his pale face, she frowned and asked, "Are you feeling unwell?"
As she spoke, Mitchel reached out to touch her forehead, but Raegan suddenly recoiled as if her hand was covered in poop.
Lauren, who was standing to the side, saw what happened. A hint of cold hatred flashed in his eyes.
His eyes narrowed. And the next second, he whimpered piteously and collapsed into Mitchel's arms.
“Hey, are you okay?” Mitchel's voice was very soft.
Lauren smiled weakly and said, “I promised to take a walk with you, and now I'm already exhausted. How useless I am! "I'm afraid we have to change our plans."
"Wait a second, I'm going to get the wheelchair." After saying that, Mitchel helped Lauren sit on a sofa in the nearby VIP Room.
Before running away, Mitchel turned to Raegan and said, “Don't go. "I'll be right back."
Lauren's face darkened at his words.
Once Mitchel left, Lauren immediately stood up and walked over to Raegan. He said in an unfriendly tone: "Let's talk."
His eyes were sharp and his voice was no longer weak.
Even the jewelry store clerk couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the sudden change.
On the other hand, Raegan wasn't even surprised. I had been unfortunate enough to witness Lauren's Oscar-worthy performance before.
"No, thanks. "I have nothing to tell you." Raegan directly refused.
Lauren looked at her sardonically and said cheekily, "Are you afraid?"
Raegan laughed and rolled her eyes.
"Why would I be afraid when you're the one fluttering around and shopping with my husband?"
