Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 1483
Chapter 1483:
? ? ? ? ?
Nicole struggled to understand why her father would jump off a building at the prospect of bankruptcy. After all, bankruptcy wasn't the worst scenario they had ever faced.
He also left no farewell note for her and her mother, who was unlike him.
Now that Nicole thought about it, she was plagued by doubts. Her head was pounding with pain and she closed her eyes, hoping for some relief. She vowed to find out the truth about her father's death.
When Nicole opened her eyes again, she saw Roscoe in a convertible next to her at a stoplight.
Shocked, she wanted to scream at him, but no sound came out. Roscoe was with a woman dressed in red, it wasn't Doreen. It was the woman Nicole had seen before.
At the time, Doreen was being questioned by the police. The drug incident had come to light, and although Doreen was unaware, she could not escape the reality that she had assaulted Nicole.
Traditionally, Doreen faced a minimum of 15 days of arrest if Nicole did not forgive her. This meant that Doreen would not be seen in Ardleng for the next 15 days as she would be in custody.
Nicole looked out the car window, her intuition tingling. Feeling Nicole's gaze, Roscoe glanced at her briefly with his poker face and then looked away. Roscoe's gaze struck her as odd, as if he didn't recognize her.
Nicole felt a wave of worry and concern, but she couldn't understand it. She had heard that the Watts family was in trouble and that scandals had come to light.
As legal representative of the Watts Group, Roscoe had been called several times by the prosecution for questioning.
In the red light, Nicole discreetly took a few photos of the woman. When the light turned green, the woman drove off with Roscoe.
Looking at the photos, Nicole remembered the woman's strange hand movements and the murmured words to Roscoe that she couldn't understand. It all seemed odd.
Nicole sent the woman's photo to a hacker friend abroad with a message: "Could you help me identify this woman?"
The answer was brief: “Okay.”
Nicole looked at Roscoe's image in the photo with a heavy heart. He looked thinner than before. How had I gotten to this point? I used to be so cheerful.
Nicole blamed herself for everything. If Roscoe didn't know her, maybe things would go better…
