Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 1469
Chapter 1469:
? ? ? ? ?
Nicole looked at Vicki with a clear look of pity. Watching the woman she loved but could never have, mocked and ridiculed, tangled up in her emotions.
Vicki was stunned. Does Jarrod really know everything? How could that be? That was why he was leaving the Hampton family no way out. He wanted them completely out of the picture.
Vicki looked at Jarrod in confusion. This man, whom she had loved deeply, was now someone she realized she didn't understand at all. At all.
Vicki had barely left the police station when she was called back to assist with the investigation. Desperate, she clung to her lawyer's hand, pleading: "Ask my father to save me. I can't trust Jarrod. He has to help me. I don't want to go to jail."
Nicole was overjoyed. This was the exact outcome she had hoped for. She wanted the Hampton family to completely cut ties with the Schultz family.
With Jarrod's tactics, the Hampton family would undoubtedly suffer serious consequences. Consequently, Vicki and Lowe's protection would crumble, leaving them to face the punishment they deserved.
The video Nicole posted urged other victims harmed by Vicki and Lowe to come forward and expose these brothers for the villains they were.
As Vicki was being taken away by the police, she came across Jarrod in a state of despair. “Jarrod, is everything that woman said true? Did you know she had the original video? You used the backup to trick us. How could you betray me and my family like that?”
She cried hysterically. “I love you so much… I love you so much, and yet you treat me like this! Jarrod, do you still have a heart? Everything I've done has been because I love you…”
Despite Vicki's screams and cries, Jarrod remained silent. His icy gaze, cold as snow, was fixed on the woman standing not far from him, as if he were trying to understand her. She was in front of him, and yet he seemed unable to understand her.
Vicki's helpless cries slowly turned into suppressed sobs, and her despair transformed into unyielding hatred. “Jarrod, I hate you!” she declared, her eyes filled with venom. “Jarrod, you have ruined me. I hate you and I will never forgive you. You will pay for this.”
Jarrod remained silent, his expression void of sympathy for Vicki.
Vicki alternated between crying and hysterical laughter. Regardless of her love or hate, she couldn't evoke any emotion in Jarrod.
What had she been thinking, that their years together would move him? It was not used. Jarrod's heart was held captive by another, and he had no desire to break free. She was sorely mistaken.
“Jarrod, wait,” Vicki muttered as a final threat. If she couldn't have him, no one would!
They took Vicki away. The area around her calmed down.
Jarrod turned to Nicole and asked, “Are you happy?”
