Regret filled Raegan's heart. He bit his tongue. Damn.

When Raegan saw Mitchel's amused look, she prepared herself to be humiliated in a big way.

She and Mitchel were about to get divorced. Lauren was the only thing that mattered to Mitchel, so there was no way Mitchel wouldn't disown her now.

Suddenly, Tessa stopped talking. Her eyes widened as she saw Mitchel take off his suit jacket and put it over Raegan's shoulders.

Raegan was as surprised as Tessa. Instead of frowning, as she expected, Mitchel was smiling contentedly.

Tessa rubbed her eyes. This has to be an illusion!

Raegan was tall for a woman. However, Mitchel's jacket was too big for him. She was soaked by the juice, which made her figure visible under her clothes.

When Mitchel noticed his eyes wandering, she looked away and buttoned his jacket.

Her fingers were slender and beautiful, and her movement skillful and ambiguous. Raegan's ears turned red and her heart beat like a big drum.

"Mitchel!" An inappropriate scream broke the silence.

Eyes bulging, Tessa screamed, “This whore is trying to seduce you! Don't fall into the trap."

Hearing that, Mitchel turned around and ordered the security guards, "Kick her out."

Tessa couldn't believe her ears. Kick out who? Her? Did Mitchel want to kick her out?

Tessa still couldn't believe it. She thought Mitchel wanted to kick out Raegan, not her.

The two security guards had a grudge against Tessa, so this order came at the perfect time. They both stood on either side.

Hearing this, they grabbed Tessa by the arms and dragged her outside.

Tessa kicked and screamed hysterically, but no matter what she did, she couldn't free herself.

Suddenly, a reprimand came from above. Everyone looked up and saw Kenya Lloyd, Tessa's mother. Kenya ran down and kicked one of the guards.

As soon as Tessa saw her mother, she cried even harder: "Mommy, it's all that bitch's fault!"

Kenya turned to look at Raegan. She had heard about how this young woman saved Kyler's life once and had stuck to him ever since.

Kyler came down the stairs shortly after. When he saw the mess, he tapped his cane on the marble floor.

After saying that, Kenya pinched Tessa. Tessa took the hint immediately. He cried so hard that he almost lost his breath.

Mitchel's face was menacing, which silenced Tessa quickly.

The silence that fell now was deafening.

When Kenya realized this wasn't going her way, she turned to Mitchel.

Oblivious to the change in Kyler's expression, Kenya continued to defend Tessa.

Kyler breathed fire. His hand shook as he looked at them with a frown.

His presence here disgusted him. How dare they bully Raegan!

He hit the ground again and declared, "From today on, you will never set foot in this house again!"

Kenya couldn't believe what she was hearing. After all, Kyler had always been so kind to his descendants. He never raised his voice at anyone, much less made a statement like that.

At that moment, Kenya realized that she had made a very big mistake.

He was about to kneel and beg for mercy. However, she was roughly dragged away by the security guards.

In a flash, Kenya and Tessa were thrown out of the mansion like bags of trash.

Peace returned to the house again.

Kyler walked up to Raegan and said, "I'm sorry, Raegan."

Kyler had reserved a room for Raegan and had even filled the closet with new clothes.

After changing, Raegan went back downstairs to have dinner with Kyler.

She and Mitchel were sitting next to each other at the table. When Raegan's favorite beef stir-fry was served, Mitchel put some on her plate.

This kind gesture went unnoticed by Raegan. His mind was elsewhere.

She kept thinking about when Tessa told her that Mitchel had gone to see Lauren.

Why hadn't he taken her with him? Could it be that Tessa was lying?

Something occurred to Raegan at that moment. Judging by how sick Lauren seemed to be, maybe she wasn't strong enough to leave the hospital now.

It seemed like a logical reason. However, he felt that Mitchel was acting strangely. He didn't seem to mind that I told Tessa about his marriage.

Raegan smiled, but her fist was clenched under the table as she tried to stop her heart from jumping.

Raegan breathed a sigh of relief. The next second, he heard Mitchel say quietly, “You haven't had a single spoonful. How come you almost choked?

For a moment, he was speechless.

He wished he could shut Mitchel up with duct tape.

After taking a deep breath, Raegan explained, "It just happened. "I guess I choked on my saliva."

He swallowed hard as if to convince Kyler.

"Axe! Raegan, are you kidding? Kyler laughed out loud and looked at her.

"Anyway, I'm glad you're okay."

As soon as he got off the hook, Raegan whispered to Mitchel, "What are you trying to do?"

Mitchel just shrugged his shoulders with a satisfied smile on his lips.

Annoyed, Raegan reached out to take revenge on him.

But Mitchel saw her coming from a mile away.

Quickly, he wrapped his hand around hers. Raegan felt how rough her palm was as she stroked it.

As if that weren't enough, he ran his fingertips over her soft palm. He felt an electrifying chill throughout his body. His heart was pounding.

Raegan blushed and tried to get out of Mitchel's grip, but he held her tighter.

She looked at him with frustration.

The smile at the corner of his lips remained. He continued enjoying his food. Anyone who saw his face would have a hard time believing he was flirting with her under the table.

He scribbled a few words on the palm of his hand.

Although Raegan didn't know what it was, she deduced that he must have been teasing her.

His face immediately turned red with anger.

The exchange was a bit loving. However, Raegan couldn't help but think that Mitchel must be missing Lauren now.
