🐺Alester🐺

“RUN Kody!” I yell at my terrified looking mate.

I feel myself getting weaker. Blood loss isn’t something I’m used to feeling. I’ve been in plenty of battles but no injuries have ever hurt as badly as this.

“You stupid boy. I wish your mother and I had more cubs. I can’t believe what a disgrace to my name you are.” he looks down on me while I bleed out, “if you want to survive this mishap you will reject that used up pack toy and mate someone I choose for you”.

“N-never” I say defiantly.

“You’re in no position to deny me. If I don’t call Owen here soon you will not sur-”

Marcus runs into the cabin and tackles my father without stopping to think about the consequences. While they fight I was able to link Owen before everything started getting dark.

Les is furious, going on a rant about Marcus daring to defy him. I think Les forgets that Marcus is my Beta and his loyalties lie with the pack and what’s best for them and losing their future Alpha isn’t in their best interests.

Marcus yells at him that he should be happy for me finally having my mate and being able to claim my rightful place but if this is how things are going to be in RavenWood then he’s not sure he wants to be a part of this pack anymore.

“Alester! What the hell happened.” Owen asks Marcus in a panic.

“Take him and get out of here, he can’t die Owen he has too much to live for”.

The last thing I see before Owen helps me out of there is Marcus slashing up my father.

I wake up and my mom is sitting at my bedside asking me to wake up. How long was I out? Where am I?

“Mom?” I try to ask, my throat and mouth are dry.

“Honey just relax, there was an accident and you’re recovering in the infirmary”.

She helps me drink some water before I try speaking again. “Mom it wasn’t an accident I found my mate”.

“You’re mate did this? Why would she do that?” she fusses over me.

“No mom, my mate is a male”.

“Oh sorry, was he one of the trainees?”

“Yeah. He’s amazing, Mom. He’s been through so much in his life and he somehow found it in his heart to trust me enough that he was able to be completely alone with me”.

She smiles at me and takes my hand, “I’d love to meet him, where is he?”

“Safe I hope... Mom, Les did this to me. He hurt my Little Wolf and is trying to force me to reject him.” instantly her demeanour changes.

“Wait, where are you going?” I am worried, I’m a bit defenseless here.

“Owen and Marcus put guards by the doors. I’ll be back as soon as I can. Your father and I need to have some words”.

She storms out of the room, I wish I could be there when she confronts him.

I was so worried about Alester when Les told me he’d been in a terrible accident and now I find out my mate has tried to kill my son and force him to reject his mate.

That is not the Alpha I mated all those years ago... I should have seen the signs but I was blinded by our bond. I wonder what else I’ve been oblivious too.

The guards outside the office try to stop me but this is my fucking house and I’ll go wherever I damn well please.

“What the fuck did you do to our son?” I demand.

“Tracy, my love, he defied me so I did what was necessary.

“Alester hasn’t defied you a day in his life. He’s always been the perfect son. He worked at being the best warrior in his class, he works hard to improve the pack and he does all your training camps. Why couldn’t you just let him have his mate after nine fucking years?”

“His mate is a MUTT, a fucking used up pack toy. He’s not worthy of cleaning Alester’s shoes”.

My wolf Sasha takes control and snarls loudly. She is just as furious as I am.

“If Alester’s mate was worthy in any way even if it was a male I’d allow it but he’s a disgrace and isn’t worthy of leading my pack with Alester. There are far better females here that would be perfect Luna’s so my son won’t be a fucking faggot!”

I’m going to lose my goddamn mind, “Alester waited NINE FUCKING YEARS! I will not allow you to take his mate from him and deny him what you and I were so lucky to have”.

I stare at him wondering what happened to him. Was he always like this?

“Tracy, you need to leave and settle your hormones before you say something you regret.” to say he was condescending would be an understatement.

“I’m not going to regret anything. You tried to murder my son and force him to reject his mate.” I take a breath to steel myself and continue, “I, Tracy Locke, reject Lester Locke, current Alpha of RavenWood Pack as my mate and my Alpha”.

The moment I finish the room fills with a blinding bright white light. When it dissipates there is a blonde woman standing before us. She smiles and says hi to me.

She turns on Les immediately, “you!” she yells at him.

“Who the fuck are you?” he snaps at her.

“I am your creator and I’m disgusted by you”.

She moves towards him with the grace and agility of a vampire.

“How could you give that disgusting thing to my son?”

“I do not answer to YOU, YOU answer to ME!” her eyes turn black with swirls of red, I’ve never seen anything like it.

“My dear Tracy, are you positive you’d like to reject this garbage?”

“Absolutely”.

“Then I recognize your rejection.” as soon as she says that Les doubles over in pain.

Some of the warriors run in when they hear him screaming, “take him to the infirmary. He’ll likely be out for a while”.

They don’t even question her, they just pick him up and leave.

“What do I do now?” I ask her, feeling a bit lost, I didn’t think about where I’d go.

She grabs me by the shoulders, “speak to your people. They have a right to make the choice to stay. As for where you should go, you should go to Blue Moon. They have the land to house and care for those that follow”.

As I’m about to leave I notice I’m not feeling any pain. When I ask her she says Les is being punished for being a monster and I won’t feel any pain. That’s actually a huge relief, I need to pack.

I link the whole pack and have them meet outside the pack house. I give them half an hour so I have time to link the scouts that are too far away to join. We have a large pack consisting of over fifteen hundred wolves.

It’s the largest population of wolves in one pack. The next largest has about eight hundred wolves. They have larger lands than us but most of that consists of lakes.

Once there’s a large group I step forward “I am here tonight to give you a choice. Your Alpha tried to murder our son and his mate. I have rejected him as my Alpha and my mate and am taking my son, your beta and anyone else who wishes to follow and we are leaving to BlueMoon”.

Stacey is here and asks me why Les tried to kill Alester. I always felt badly for her, Les always trying to push her on Alester and him rejecting her advances. It seems she’s happy with her mate now though.

“Alester found his mate but he’s not female so Les doesn’t think he’s worthy. You may not know this but Les finds women and gay men weak and he doesn’t respect many of them... He wasn’t bad when I met him but he’s grown cruel since we mated and I no longer feel the need to stand by him. I am leaving tonight, you may come or stay, the choice is yours”.

With that I turn to go pack my things. Over the next six hours I packed all the things Alester gave me growing up, my clothes and photo albums. I leave all the gifts from Les over the years.

I then go and pack Alester’s room since he’s still recovering. Marcus packed his room and came to help me with Alester’s. He’s a good beta and a more amazing friend, his mate is a lucky girl.

When we finally get the stuff packed up in the trailers. Marcus goes and gets Alester and then we head out. The rest of the pack knows how to find BlueMoon Pack. When we finally cross the border Marcus and I feel the pack bond slip away. It’s a bit painful but mostly it’s just uncomfortable. Marcus linked me, Alester didn’t even flinch. My poor boy.

I should have left a long time ago. I knew Les was cruel but I didn’t know how bad it really was until Marcus shared something with me about what all Les had done. I had no idea Les beat Alester... I’m a horrible mother, how did I not know? I think about that for the rest of the drive.

It’s around six in the morning when we finally cross Blue Moon Pack borders. Since they don’t know we are coming we wait at the borders for the warriors to head down.

“Marcus!” a purple haired girl yells as she runs over to him and leaps into his now open arms.

“Tessa, Goddess I missed you.” she giggles as he inhales her scent, “why do you smell like Kody, Sadie and faintly like Brandon?”

He let’s her go, “Oh Brandon, Sadie, Kody and I had a sleepover. They used to have them all the time when Kody first came to live here. I joined last night because I didn’t want to be alone”.

“How is Kody?” Marcus asks her and she says he had a hard night because he’s so worried about Alester.

Kody has to be my baby boy’s mate. Marcus comes over to me and says Tessa is linking their Alpha. I met him once, years ago but I couldn’t tell you anything about him now. Les handled all the pack relations.

When Tessa is finished talking to her Alpha she comes over to me and extends a hand, “Hi I’m Tessa Matthews.” We shake hands and I introduce myself.

“You’re the Luna?” she asks.

“I was. I rejected my mate and left the pack”

“Wow, well Alpha Zane is an amazing Alpha I’m sure you’ll be welcome to stay”.

She says he’s ready and we can make the drive up to the pack house now. She gets in with Marcus and they lead the way.

They picked a beautiful place to build, there’s a lot of room for expansion. I wait for Tessa and Marcus to exit and do the same.

“There he is” she whispers at us. I stand up a bit straighter and Marcus tries to help Alester out of the other vehicle.

“Hello, welcome to Blue Moon, I’m Alpha Zane”.

“Hi there, I’m Tracy, former Luna of Raven Wood, the barely conscious one is my son Alester and the one holding him up is our former Beta Marcus”.

“Tessa, why don’t you help Marcus take Alester to Kody’s room and I’ll take Tracy to my office to talk about them joining us”.

Tessa nods and they disappear into the house. We follow them inside but head into his office. It’s very different from Les’ office.

Zanes’ office is warm and inviting where Les’ was cold and dark. I spend the next forty-five minutes explaining what happened and he looks appalled that an Alpha would act like that especially towards his own son.

“I think that’s everything”.

“Oh no, you’re forgetting one important thing.” he says.

I nod in agreement and he walks around to where I’m sitting, takes my hand and pulls me up. Then he sits me back on his desk and kisses me.

“It was so hard for me and my wolf to contain ourselves. I haven’t had a mate in twenty years”.

“Zane, let’s go somewhere more... comfortable”.

“As you wish, my beautiful Luna”.

I could hardly believe it when I caught Zane’s scent. I knew immediately why I was told to come here. She gave me a second chance, but maybe it was more for Zane than me.

We enter his room and he pins me to the wall. He’s looking at me like he’s a starving man and I’m his feast. Les never looked at me like that.

This was the best decision I ever made.
