Bella's

P.O.V

I was cooking food in the kitchen, while stretching my body. It was already eleven at night and I was only just making myself dinner. Today Lily and I had worked so hard that I was now exhausted, which was why I had decided to just make something small so I can

go to bed and get to sleep fast.

"What do you think about Victoria?" My wolf Lena asked out of the blue. She hadn't spoken to me after all the bad things I had said to Asher in the classroom and due to how I had left things. Wolves were far more forgiving of their mates than their human halves were to say the least.

When Victoria, Lily and I had come out of the locker room, Asher, David and Leo were standing there, blocking our path. I hadn't said a word to any of them, just walked away from the group of males, while continuing to chat with Lily and Victoria. I refused to show to Asher that what happened in the classroom had affected me. If he didn't care then I could make it appear as if I didn't either, I would don a mask of calm serenity he would never realize the effect he had on me. I had already cleared everything up between Asher and I, so there was nothing more to explain or talk about. I ignored him, but Lena wasn't having it.

"Oh so now you are willing to talk to me." I coldly replied to her, but she narrowed her eyes at me.

"Yeah, I thought you needed someone to talk to. But I am still mad about the bitter things you said to our mate." Lena chided and I rolled my eyes.

"Are you for real? What were you expecting from me? Did you not hear what he said?" I asked Lena, while eating my food.

"Yes, but he didn't directly say yes when you asked him if he was doing it just for your body. It was not a yes, he was silent." Lena replied, I slammed my hand on the table irate with her making excuses for him.

"HAVE YOU GONE COMPLETELY DAFT AFTER FINDING HIM?! DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF HIS SILENCE?!" I screamed at Lena, who completely ignored me.

"Honestly, his silence could have had another meaning. His wolf wasn't just lusting after your body, he was honest. We were going to mate with our mate, but you pushed him away and hurt him with your words." Lena argued and that made me angry.

"REALLY!? I HURT HIM WITH MY WORDS, THAT'S RICH! HOW ABOUT HOW HE HURT ME WITH HIS WORDS?! HOW ABOUT HIM SAYING THAT HE WOULD NEVER ACCEPT A LONE WOLF AS HIS MATE?! OR HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ABOUT THAT AND EVERYTHING ELSE HE HAS DONE US?!!" I yelled at Lena. How could she take his side nevermind be this much of an i***t when it came to Asher?

"He didn't mean to. He is our mate, he wouldn't hurt us." Lena tries but I just ignored her.

I kept thinking about what she said while also thinking about how he made me feel. I had wanted to mate with him as well, but his silence had broken everything inside me. I knew that Lena would never admit that she was also hurt by his silence, but she was willing to take it as having some other meaning. Lena was trying to think positively, but why was it so hard for me to think like that when we were both the same?

"Now why are you spacing out?" Lena nudged, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Nothing." I replied, continuing to eat.

"Now seeing that Suzy b***h is not with our mate, he will be ours soon. I hated watching the way she used to cling to him, I wanted to tear her apart with my teeth. Don't worry, he will be ours soon, and we will mate with him. He will pull us out of this loneliness." Lena proclaimed as I looked around me. I was living in a one bedroom house alone. I wasn't just alone in this house though, my loneliness had spread wrapping it's dark tendrils around my soul so that even in a crowded room I might as well have been on a desert island. I have become so solitary since my mom left, honestly I used to believe that my mate would be with me and I would spend my whole life with him. But then my mate turned out to be an Alpha who hated lone wolves and that dream burnt down to bitter ash. "Do you really think that Asher was the one who would claim us? Would he really mate and mark us? He already hates me and you know that." I questioned Lena, but she just smiled as I was again starting to think positively.

"Yes, he would claim us. Why didn't you give him a chance? Talk to him nicely. He is a dominating Alpha that has never learned to submit. While we are a lone wolf that has never learned to obey anyone, let's try to understand each other." Lena counseled. I just slid down to the floor, mulling over her advice.

"So what should I do?" I asked her.

"That is for you to figure out." Lena replied and I nodded my head. I closed my eyes, I kept seeing Asher's face. Was Lena right about what she felt? Did he not only want my body? Did he really want to mate with me? But if all that was true then why was his silence killing me?

The next morning I went to work in the store for a few hours before heading to school, but upon entering I saw David standing there with a big smile on his face when he saw me.

"Good morning, Luna." David said, bowing his head to me. I gave him a blank look, even though I didn't want to offend him as he was a teacher that didn't mean that I couldn't out right ignore his presence. He still stood there, smiling shamelessly at me. "Are you sure you didn't offend him?" Lena asked, laughing at me.

"Yes, I didn't offend him, I just ignored him. I used to actually like him, but he's just as bad as his Alpha. He broke Victoria's heart by rejecting her like that, she is such a sweet girl. Do you really think that she deserves that? She now has to go through life mateless and broken, she did not deserve it. Not everyone gets a second chance mate." I replied to Lena and knew that she understood my point. If she could understand that then why couldn't she understand my point about Asher?

"Hey Lily." I called, seeing that she was already waiting for me in class.

"Hey Bella, why are you late?" Lily wondered as I put my bag on the table, sitting down and rested my head next to my bag.

"I woke up late so I reached the store late too, that meant I had to make up for that time in the store." I answered, seeing that she was reading a book. "Tests are coming, right?" I inquired, she nodded.

"I am not good at studying." Lily admitted, I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Do you know that I used to be good at studying, but now I have missed so much material in the past four months that it is hard for me to understand it all in such a short time. I am trying my best between work and school, but sometimes I think I am going to fail this year." I confessed. I was only attending school and working. The problem was that once I arrived home I was so tired that I didn't open any of my school books to study. Lily closed her book and laid her head on the table next to me, facing me.

"It's not just you, I think I will also fail." Lily confided, we both giggled. The teacher entered the classroom, he was our accounting teacher. He returned our test papers to us, my eyes nearly popped out when I saw my score. I was about to fail and had managed to get a passing mark on my test. My heart was beating so fast to see this as it was honestly the first time this had happened to me. I was a brilliant student, but now I have become an utter moron. Oh... what the hell was I doing? Lily also got a passing mark like me, but her marks were better than mine. I just wanted to slam my head on the table.

"But now whatever happens I will get good marks in the next test! I promise myself. I was really going to devote myself to my studies." I promised myself in my mind.

"Good for you, Bella." The accounting teacher suddenly remarked and I panicked. The whole class was looking at me including Lily.

"Did I say that out loud?" I asked and they all nodded their heads. I just smiled nervously burying my head in the book to hide from the embarrassment. Lily was laughing silently at me. I had really lost my mind after coming to this school.

It was now lunch time, Lily and I entered the canteen. We both brought some drinks and packed food from there, then decided to eat on the bench outside while watching the players on the athletic fields. Victoria was with girls and she was so strict, her words were so powerful that the girl players were like animals on the turf. Victoria smiled looking at both of us. After sitting there for a while we both were walking away, abruptly Asher's pack mates intercepted us. Lily became nervous as they had slapped her before, she held my hand tightly at seeing Noah. Were they here to bother us again? Lily had told me that Asher had not kicked them out of the pack. They were not rouges.

"What do you want?" I asked them sternly. I was not going to quietly take a beating from them as Lily had. My wolf was showing them her teeth as she had never liked them, she was ready to fight if they were planning on f*****g with us. That was when they all got down on their knees, making Lily and I jump from our place to see their odd behavior.

"What... what's wrong." I stammered in a panic. It was a good thing we were in an isolated area or other students would have seen all of this.

"We are really sorry for all the bad things that we did to you both." They all said together in unison. Oh... so they are here to apologize?

"Okay. Now get up." I demanded, they immediately heard me as I gave them orders.

"Thank you for saving us. It was because of you that we are not rogues." Noah explained.

"No, I didn't do anything." I murmured confused.

"No, but you did. You changed Alpha Asher's mind. We can't stay in The New Moon Pack now, he has ordered us to change packs. The pack is his maternal uncle's pack and it is in another city, so we are going to leave this pack. It's painful to leave our parents behind, but at least we are not rogues. We never would have thought that Alpha Asher would ever be so kind as us and it has all happened because of you." Noah revealed, though I was still confused. I hadn't said anything to Asher. "See, didn't I say that he was not like what he shows everyone." Lena commented, talking about Asher's kindness that he shows towards his pack members by not turning them into rogues.

"So what, I still remember everything." I retorted to her, she rolled her eyes.

"But I have forgotten everything and you have to as well." Lena urged, we ignored each other once again coming to a stand still.

"We are again sorry, we didn't know that you were to be our Luna. They only told us now as we are no longer in that pack, so we couldn't tell anyone. Alpha would never tell anyone that a lone wolf was his mate." Noah clarified, my wolf Lena's ears were now fully alert.

Lena growled at hearing him say that she liked and hated it when someone hated us just because we are a lone wolf. She just didn't seem to understand that the one that hated it the most was none other than our mate and I couldn't make her accept that. "Lily, I am sorry for what I did to you." Noah lamented, turning to face Lily, she just nodded.

"But there is something I want to ask you...." Noah said, sounding serious.

"Are you my brother's mate?" Noah asked, my jaw dropped and Lily looked terrified. She did not understand the meaning of all of this.

"What? No I am not! I am nothing to him." Lily immediately replied, Noah smirked at her.

"Really? I don't think so. No one knows him better than I do. Let's see." Noah countered, after bowing in front of me once again, they all walked away. They had only come to school to see Lily and I, so that they could apologize. Now they were going to leave the pack and city behind them.

"What did he mean?" Lily asked, I shook my head. I also did not know his meaning. Lunch time was almost over and we were heading back to the class. I had my test papers in my hand and I was looking at it helplessly.

"How can I raise my grade?" I irritatedly asked myself. When I saw Asher standing in front of me. I startled badly as he had appeared out of nowhere.

"YES!! HE CAME!!!" Lena shouted like crazy. More than seeing Asher I was shocked to see her giddy happiness. All the time she had been clinging on to me, saying that he would come no matter how much I ignored him. Had she been even doubting him, despite her the positive front she had been showing me?

"Umm... Bella... I think I should leave." Lily stammered with a little smile.

"No. Don't go." I replied.

"Leave." Asher commanded Lily, not forgetting to sound like he was ordering her. She looked at both of us and was stuck between fear and friendship. She chose to obey Asher as he was the most dangerous here. "Sorry." Lily mouthed to me before leaving.

I looked at Asher and he was giving me a black look. I had told him not to talk to me, I loathed him, I would never accept him as my Alpha, but he still had come like he was shameless. Does he not have any self respect? "Because he is our mate." Lena said she again was going crazy due to Asher's presence. I immediately cut her off and ignored hertoo. Why was he giving me a black look?

"What?" I asked him in a rude tone.

"Where is your phone?" He questioned, raising his brow. I put my hand in my pockets pulling out my phone. Why did he need to know about my phone? I thought just as he snatched it from my hand.

"HEY! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!?" I shouted trying to take it back from him. He just put his hand on my head to stop me. I used my full strength to get rid of his grip, but he was too strong. I couldn't get enough leverage to move his arm. I was shouting and tried to free my head from his hold as he was looking at something on my phone. He looked back at me, finally releasing my head. Oh god! I didn't know how much strength he actually had?

"WHAT THE f**k! MY NUMBER IS STILL BLOCKED!" He yelled in fury. Now I understood what he was doing. He was unblocking his number.

"I have been calling you for a few hours, only to find out now that my slave has blocked her master's number. How dare you." He growled, Lena flinched to hear him growl. He really was taking it as an offense that I blocked his number.

"Do you really think of yourself as someone special? Yes, I blocked your number and I will block it again." I sneered, snatching my phone from his hand.

"Yeah, just do it! I just dare you to do it and then I will show you how my wolf would chew your phone with his teeth." He exclaimed, as I hid my phone from his eyes. He was not joking. What if he really chewed my phone? "What? His wolf? Where? I want to see!" Lena yipped, getting excited to hear about Asher's wolf. "LENA!!!" I shouted at her, she smiled at me.

"You only heard about his wolf. Did you not hear the dangerous things he said?" I asked her, but she was again looking for his wolf. It was no use talking to her now as she was too happy.

"Why were you calling me? Didn't I say that I was not your servant." I explained to him yet again. I tried to leave, but he blocked my path again.

"You are making it sound as if you are the master here and I am your servant. If you still want to be in the school then follow me. Don't you dare to disobey me... Slave." Asher warned with a jerk smirk, I had to follow him.

This was horrible. Asher held my future in the palm of his hand. If I wanted to fulfill my mom's wishes and continue my studies then I had to obey him or I was going to have to leave this school. If it had not been about my future I would have left this school. "It is not possible. You can not leave the school. Our mate is here..." Lena told me in a boring tone.

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

"I am hungry." Asher replied as we headed to the canteen. If he was hungry then he should go and eat, why did he need a slave for that? I was walking behind him and really felt as if I were his slave. As we entered the canteen it was not crowded now. He stood leaning against the wall and it was an indirect message for me that my work as a slave starts here. I was standing near the food counter and pulled my purse out from my pocket. There was not much money in it, so how am I going to buy him food? He said he is hungry. I know boys eat a lot, but all the food was expensive here. I can't use my mom's card as it would be empty soon. Now there was not much money left. The pay that I received from the store was used for other expenses. I only buy chips that are only small packs for lunch and most of the time I skip lunch so that I could save money. How am I going to buy him food? I did not dare to look back at him. He was waiting for me to bring him food, knowing that he would scold me if I was late. Should I buy him the small packet of chips that I eat? But what if he throws it in my face, saying that he does not eat this kind of poor thing like a lone wolf like me? I was feeling very poor right now. He must be thinking me very disgusting and poor. Suddenly, I felt Asher's chest against my back, my breath stuck in my lungs from his touch. He was standing right behind me, he leaned in, putting both his hands on the counter, totally caging me between them.

"I want a vanilla ice cream." He whispered. I glanced down to see the price. It was a large pack that was impossible for me to pay for. I clenched my fist in panic.

"I want this one." He murmured, putting his finger on the smallest one. I was shocked that he wanted the smallest pack even though he was hungry. I could buy it!

"Buy me this one or there will be punishment." He again whispered, a small smile appeared on my face at his words. Lena evilly smirked at me and I quickly dropped my smile. He moved away from me and I turned to him. I looked up to him offering him the ice "His wolf is trying to approach me!" Lena crowed, going crazy again. This was the first time his wolf had tried to do this, it was the move that his wolf was taking towards mine. This was the first time when he was not looking at me with hate and anger. It was a good feeling, not only was Lena happy, but so was I. It was the first time we were acting like a normal couple. He extended his hand towards the ice cream. It was also the first time when we were having ice cream too.

"ASHER..." I heard a girl's voice shouting his name with full excitement.

I looked at her as she ran towards Asher at full speed jumping on him in a hug. The ice cream that we were holding was thrown away on the floor due to her push.

"I AM FINALLY BACK AFTER TWO YEARS!!" She cried, wrapping her arms and legs around his body.

"WHO IS SHE! HOW CAN SHE DO THAT TO OUR MATE?! KICK HER AWAY!!" Lena screamed in my mind, growling, but then Asher also hugged her tightly looking thrilled.

"Wow... why did you not tell me that you are coming? I could have sent Leo for you." Asher exclaimed to her, smiling brightly. This was the first time I had seen his smile. But this smile was not for me, it was for another she wolf.

"Who is she?" I asked Asher, walking towards them.

"I am his girlfriend and you are?" She replied, my hand trembled. My legs froze right there. I was still looking at Asher's eyes.

"Then who was Suzy?" I asked, she rolled her eyes.

"That b***h was only my substitute as I was out of town for two years. Now I am back to my Asher." She told me, I saw her hand on his.

She was his girlfriend. She had come back to him then who I was to him? Who I was to you? I thought to myself, gazing into Asher's eyes that were not leaving my eyes. Lena was also broken to hear this. She was now trying to approach his wolf. I again got silence in reply.

"Let's go Asher." She said, taking him from there. I watched him leaving with yet another woman. He did not even look back at me. I smiled and picked the ice cream from the floor. Throwing it in the trash, similar to what he had done to any relationship between us. I walked out of there. It went to the right place. This was the end of the illusion. When I went to class, the teacher scolded me for arriving late. He was the same teacher who was crazy about rules. He punished me, now I needed to stay and make notes for the class in the library after school. I accepted it quietly.

"Will you be able to come to the store today?" Lily asked as we came out of the class. It was time to go home.

"Bella... I asked you something." Lily proded, shaking me to get me to look at her. "I asked if you will be able to come to the store today after completing the punishment? He gave you a very hard punishment. It will take a lot of time." Lily explained, I looked at my watch.

"I don't know Lily. I just didn't want to argue with him, so I accepted the punishment. You go home and then to the store. I will try to come if it is possible. Don't wait for me." I replied, heading towards the library.

On my way a man stopped me to give me a bag saying to put it on the librarian's desk. When I entered the library no one was there. The librarian had also left for the day. It seemed I was the only one who left in the whole school. I sat on the floor near the bookshelf putting the bag beside me. I was content with this as I wanted to be alone.

My eyes went to the bag as I saw that it contained vodka. So the librarian had received vodka as a gift. I pulled it out and was examining it. I had never drank before, but today I wanted to taste it. People say they forget their pain when they drink, I wanted to forget what I saw in the canteen to numb the pain that I felt. Even though it would only be for a short time, I wanted to forget. I opened the bottle and brought it to my lips. The first drink was really hellish and I did not like the taste, but I continued with the promise of relief on the horizon. Slowly the alcohol began to work it's magic. I took too many sips and was already drunk. I leaned my head against the shelf, closing my eyes.

"Why aren't I forgetting anything?" I asked myself, as I raised the bottle to my lips again. But it was snatched away from my hand.

"Because it is a lie." I heard Asher's voice. Opening my eyes slowly I found him beside me. "No one forgets anything after drinking." He said,I smiled to hear him. "Yes, because they go crazy. I have also gone crazy as I am seeing you again." I muttered, seizing the bottle back from him.

"Stop." He said, yanking it back. He was making me angry as hell.

"HOW DARE AN ALPHA LIKE YOU SNATCH MY DRINK!! DID YOU COME INTO MY DREAM TO DOMINATE ME?! AM I YOUR SLAVE EVEN IN MY DREAM TOO?!!" I shouted, again trying to grab the bottle back from him. He only put his finger on my forehead to stop me, but I couldn't get it back.

"This is not a dream." Asher commented, pushing my head back.

"What? If this is not a dream then you are really here?" I scoffed and looked around.

"Then why did you come here?" I asked him, he just looked at me. He again gave me the silent treatment. I chuckled seeing him like this.

"No worries. I understand. You came here because I am alone and so that you can take advantage of me, right? You have to come to me just because of your wolf right? After all you are only after my body..." I acknowledged with a laugh.

I was finally able to take the bottle from his hand and drink again. As I was about to swallow he pulled me towards him. He held my mouth with one hand, his lips touched mine as he drank the vodka that was in my mouth. I closed my eyes feeling like I was losing my mind. What was he doing? His lips traveled to my ear and his hot breath teasing the lobe. Why did it all feel real? Why?

"It was never your body it w..." Asher started to say something to me, but I didn't hear him finish what he was saying as I fell asleep.
