Chapter 16

Lily's P.O.V

After two consecutive classes the teacher finally left and I snuck out the back door before the next teacher came in to start class, otherwise I would have had to stay for that class as well.

I immediately started to search for Bella, while trying to call her, but she wasn't answering the phone, not even once. Bella never does that, she always had her phone in her pocket and she always answers my calls. I had called her when the first class started and she had answered, she was listening to the class as it was being taught, but after half an hour the call was suddenly disconnected.

I had become worried after that, since she hadn't picked up the phone after that I was getting even more worried about her. I also noticed that after Bella ran out of the classroom Taylor became very depressed, Asher's lie had dashed all his hopes. Asher had been looking at Taylor's hand that had been holding Bella's before announcing that he was her boyfriend, making Taylor look very sad. Asher also left class straight after Bella had, which was weird. I put my phone back in my pocket and felt something else in there, when I pulled it out I saw that it was a key!

"Oh my God." I said to myself, almost shouting in panic. I had forgotten to return Leo's keys to him as soon as I had entered the school, like he had ordered. Everything had gotten so out of control, what with Taylor and Bella, then Asher's sudden announcement and Bella running out of class that I had completely forgotten about the keys. I have to return them to Leo as soon as possible or I didn't know what he would do to me in anger.

First I went to his class, but I couldn't go in because the teacher was there, so I looked through the window only to find that neither Leo nor Asher were in there. I don't understand why they bother coming to school when they are never present in class, from the looks of things they didn't have to be. I ran as quickly as I could to the next place I could think of where he could be, which was the music room.

I reached the music room and saw that the door was closed, but I had the key so I could easily peek inside. I went inside and there was no one here, but if he was not here then where else could he be? Maybe he would be in the same place as Asher, nine times out of ten he was always with Asher. I think they are best friends as he always followed his every order. I have to return this key to him as soon as possible, then I could continue to search for Bella.

There was only one place where I would find Asher and that was the gym, which was kind of his private area no outsider was allowed to enter, actually no one dared to go there for fear of Asher being in there. I reached the gym and I could hear some sounds coming from inside, but then I heard the principal slowly speaking and carefully made my way into the gym.

"Forgive me, Alpha. I know that I was unable to perform my duty and I should have informed you as soon as I came to know of the pack members doing. I am ready to be punished." The principal affirmed, sitting on his knees and bowing his head to him. Asher was sitting on a chair with Leo standing beside him as usual.

The seniors who complained about me and Bella to the administrator and principal were all on the floor, sitting on their knees in front of Asher. Asher seemed to be utterly furious and so did Leo too. I was surprised to see this scene unfolding in front of me as it seemed that all of them were getting punished and Asher did not appear like he was in a forgiving mood.

"Forgive us Alpha, I made a mistake. We all wanted to get revenge on both of the girls because Bella insulted you in front of everyone and we could not bear that she had slapped you. We did all of this in anger, but we did not think that you would be so angry over a normal girl." The girl who slapped me said to Asher.

"No one has the f*****g right to do anything in my matters. She slapped me and I will handle the matter. Who the hell gave you all the rights to take my revenge?" Asher asked in a deep and dangerous voice, which made a shiver run down my spine. It seemed as though his words had not only affected me, but the people on their knees in front of him as well. Asher looked almost serene, but the dark threat in his words was clearly audible.

"We are sorry, Alpha. Please.......please.....change your decision..." The girl begged and Leo's face turned red with fury as soon as he heard what the girl who slapped me had said.

"You people don't even understand that you did not plan a conspiracy against just a normal girl, you have conspired against your future Luna. Bella is our future Luna." Leo revealed, telling them who Bella really was to the pack. I was shocked to hear that Leo told them the truth as the principal was saying that Asher would never tell anyone this. He had said that he would never reveal who Bella really was, so what had transpired to change his mind?

I heard the principal using the same name before, he was always calling her Luna and honoured her by bowing his head in respect. Everyone there apart from the principal was shivering in fear after Leo had told them that Bella was their Luna and it seemed as if none of them had known this, but I couldn't understand why it was such a big deal. It must have been a big deal to them though as they cried out in horror.

Suddenly everyone's eyes fell on me and Asher was just staring at me, but I felt as if he was angry with me. He always looked at everyone as if he disdains and despises the person standing in front of him, but I do not know why whenever he sees Bella, his anger was still there and it was mixed with something else too. I quickly looked away from him and met Leo's forest green eyes. I felt as if everyone knew about my arrival for a long time, but no one had been paying attention.

"What do you want?" Leo asked, as he walked over to me. My eyes went to Noah who was looking at his brother who was walking over to me. Does he still hate me? Was he thinking that he was getting this punishment because of me? It was not a good thing if he thinks that. As Leo was about to come closer to me I backed away from him, he understood that I did not want him near me so he stopped. He again started to walk and I again backed away from him. He again stopped, only this time he looked irritated. He was about to shout at me, but before he could I pushed the keys in front of him.

"I only came here to return your keys." I informed him, he was staring at the keys. What was wrong? Why wasn't he taking them? Was he still too busy like last night? I thanked God when he took them from me, now I can finally leave this dangerous room which was also looking like a punishment chamber. As I turned to leave, suddenly I heard something.

"Alpha, we are ready to take any punishment, you can even tell Alpha Gabriel if it would please you, but please save us from his anger. Punish us with everything or anything you want, but please do not kick us out of the pack. Please change your decision. We do not want to become rogues." Noah pleaded, I looked back at them in shock. It means Asher already kicked them out of his pack. Maybe he announced it before he and Leo had come to Bella and I.

I very well remember what the principal said about Suzy, but now I also understood why Leo revealed the secret that Bella was Luna because Asher had already kicked them out of the pack! They could not tell anyone about this.

"I want to say something." I said, Interrupting them. Leo, who had been walking over to Asher came back to me running. I heard a growl from someone and I flinched. Who growled? Is someone angry because I interrupted? "What the hell did you say? Just go away quickly." Leo urged, gritting his teeth in anger.

"Please let me speak." I begged Leo. He grabbed my arms and pulled me towards his chest.

"Enough is enough. This is my last warning. Get the f**k out of here and I will handle Alpha." Leo whispered and I realised that I should not have interrupted in this matter. Asher's fury had risen even further as I had done this and I felt as if Leo was trying to save me from Asher's wrath due to my interruption.

"Go." Leo advised, holding my hand as he was trying to take me out of the room.

"STOP!" Asher shouted, Leo and I stopped.

"Bring her here." Asher ordered, Leo and I looked at his face.

"Alpha, it's my mistake. This human is mindless and even more stupid than she looks. I will handle her. She did not know she should not speak when Alpha is talking." Leo beseeched Asher, again trying to take me out of the room.

"Let her speak. You come here." Asher ordered, gazing deep into my black eyes with his perpetually angry blue ones succeeding in making me scared. Now I wholeheartedly regretted speaking up on the matter. I glanced at Leo who was mentally telling me that he would teach me a good lesson if I irritated his Alpha further.

"Don't dare to offend him. No need to talk back and quickly obey him or I will really pull your heart out. Just don't f**k with my mind. Do you understand?" Leo whispered the dangerous words into my ears with a blank expression. I walked near them with Leo walking behind me.

"I know that I should not speak in this case, that it is a pack matter and I am sorry for that, but I heard that you are kicking these people out of your pack. I plead with you that you should only punish these people, but do not kick them out of the pack." I appealed, Asher and all the students including the principal were watching me.

"Ok, now that's enough. Didn't I tell you not f**k with my mind? Now you will apologize to Alpha and get out of this room." Leo murmured in my ear, looking indignant. "Please do not think that I am ordering you, but I beg you." I clarified to Asher again. I felt Leo 's hand in mine which was ready to drag me out of the room if need be.

"And why should I do this? Is there any reason for this?" Asher asked me, raising his eyebrows. My throat went bone dry after hearing his words. I heard people saying that he was a very dangerous, cruel and heartless person. It was like if he did not like my words then he would take it as an insult.

"Actually, I don't want to do that but it's what Bella wants." I said and as Asher listened to me, his mood, expression, and attitude changed as soon as he heard Bella's name.

"What does she want?" Asher asked me, his expression becoming very serious.

"This morning the two of us had a conversation, at the time Bella told me that if someone asked her, she would never want any member of your pack to be thrown out due to what happened. She knows that the mistake that these people had made was not forgivable and it was a matter of your people, but she does not want these people to live their lives as rogues. She said that she knows how hard it is to live alone, what it is like when you spend your 18 years or more with that person and suddenly that person is taken away from your life or you should be removed from his life. She realizes this pain of being alone, she says it is too scary and snatches away the reason for your life because of this she is ready to forgive them." I told everything to Asher,I looked at Leo who was not looking upset anymore. Everyone in the room had let me speak clearly, no one interrupted me.

"I know she will become a great Luna." The principal suddenly said, smiling as he listened to me. He had said last night that he trusted his Luna. Asher's face had completely transformed when I was talking about Bella. He was totally focused on my words as if nothing else was important to him other than her opinion and thoughts. Abruptly he stood from his chair, I retreated in concern. Did he become angry? I backed up, but I bumped into Leo who held me tightly as I continued panicking. Though his hold was trying to comfort me, telling me not to panic. I began to take in deep breaths, what is that yummy smell...was that Leo?

"This matter should not go to my father, to Alpha Gabriel. I will decide the punishment for all of you." Asher announced, then he left the gym. Everyone began hugging each other as he departed, I could see the tears in their eyes. I realized that they had become aware of their mistake. These people are still going to get a strict punishment from Asher, but they are happy about it as they are only getting punishment and not being kicked out of the pack.

Seeing this, a smile came to my face because ultimately, Bella had changed Asher's decision, unknowingly, but she bent an Alpha to her will. I could see her ruling over Alpha's mind. I turned, stepping out of Leo's arms to gaze at him with wide eyes that were threatening to take my heart out of me.

"I hope I have neither insulted your alpha nor retorted." I said and he came closer to me.

"Good for you or I was not joking about pulling your heart out. I still remember that it was because of you that she slapped my Alpha. I still hate you for that." Leo informed me, his words hit my mind, annoying me. He still thinks that it was entirely my mistake. "I have returned your keys, right? Then I should leave." I concluded.

"I DID NOT ALLOW YOU TO GO!!" He shouted, but just gave him a glare. I continued to walk out of the room without following his orders. If he hates me then I loathe him, I'll be a tit for tat situation. I returned to my search to find Bella. After asking many people, I discovered that some people saw her going towards the locker room. All the players were on the field, so I could not fathom what Bella was doing in the locker room? The locker room was only for the players.

"Can I help you with anything?" I was about to open the door of the locker room when I suddenly heard the voice of a woman. A tall, beautiful woman who was maybe 25 years old stood by my side and was wearing a tracksuit.

"Actually I have come here in search of a friend of mine who is inside this locker room." I replied to the woman.

"If so, let's go inside." She said, smiling and I saw the key in her pocket. She had the key to this locker room.

"I have never seen you here before. Which subject do you teach?" I asked her because looking at her she did not look like she was a teacher.

"It seems that you joined this school a few months ago. I am the football coach of this school." She told me as we both walked into the locker room. This woman's fitness was amazing. I should have already understood that she was the coach. I did not see Bella in the locker room.

"Hmmm... she was not here? Seems she left from here." I murmured to myself.

"I think that friend of yours was inside that bathroom." The coach pointed out. When we both went to the bathroom, the bathroom was closed from inside. Bella was really present inside.

"How did you know that Bella is inside?" I inquiered her, but in response to my question she just smiled.

"Bella ..." While knocking on the door, I called her name several times but she was not opening the door. When she finally opened the door after about 1 minute, I was stunned to see her condition. Her whole body was soaked with water and it seemed as if something bad had happened to her.

"Oh my god Bella. What's wrong with you?" I questioned her, she just shook her head.

"It's ok, don't panic, let's take her out and let her drink some water." The coach advised. We brought her back to the locker room. I gave her a water bottle and the coach was pulling out a new towel for her.

"No need to worry. I think it was her heat. Maybe it was your first time." The coach said to Bella and I was silently listening to what they were saying, but I did not know what they were talking about.

"But why is it happening to me? I have never felt something like this before." Bella whimpered to the coach.

"Maybe because you have found your mate. It is all happening because of him. Am I right?" She asked and in reply Bella only remained silent. I think she was talking about Asher.

"I do not want to talk about him." Bella replied and sounded hurt.

"It's ok, I can understand, but you didn't actually have a full heat. It is not your actual heat. I think it happened with you because maybe you were thinking erotically about him or you were going to mate with him, but unexpectedly you stopped. Your wolf lost control and it was just a wave of heat. So don't worry. I can see you are strong to control your body. You are a lone wolf, but you have trained yourself like a warrior." The coach explained to Bella, she smiled at the compliments.

"Yes, my mum has brought me up as a warrior. She was also a warrior. She protected me with her life." Bella told the coach about her mother, now she was not that sad when she was talking about her mother. It was a good thing.

"Yes I can see. Are you feeling better now?" The coach asked and Bella nodded.

"Thank you for coming here, Lily." Bella said and I hugged her tightly.

"Are you really ok?" I asked and she nodded, smiling.

"I could not attend the class completely. You have notes for me right?" Bella pleaded,I laughed to hear her. She was asking about notes and still thinking about studies. It meant she was completely fine. The Coach laughed with me as well. Bella's P.O.V

I returned the towels to the coach and she gave me a tracksuit to wear until my school uniform was dry again. Her name was Victoria. She was also a werewolf like me, but she belonged to a pack.

"Which pack are you from?" I asked before talking to her more, I thought it was appropriate to know which pack she belonged to because all the people I met here were from Asher's pack. I was always surprised and now I did not need anymore surprises. "I am from The Green Wood Pack." She replied, smiling. I took a deep breath as soon as I heard her answer.

"Thank God you're not from the New Moon Pack." I claimed, taking another deep breath while talking to her. Lily laughed to hear me as she knew exactly why I was saying this.

"Yes you are right." Lily added, we both noticed Victoria was looking sad.

"What's wrong? Why are you sad?" I asked her, Lily and I both stopped smiling.

"Actually I was not lucky enough to join that pack. The Moon Goddess wanted me in that pack, so she gave me a mate from it. I always admired him and prayed to the Moon Goddess to make him my mate, then one day she granted my wish and I was elated. I want him as my mate, but he rejected me in a second without thinking anything of it." Victoria explained, we both saw tears in her eyes. I was feeling so bad for her. Rejection was the worst thing possible for any werewolf. I could feel her pain. "But why did he reject you?" I wondered. I wanted to know the reason for rejection.

"He rejected me because his pack and my pack are enemies. The second he came to know I was his mate he immediately rejected me. Breaking the bond between us and totally ruining me." Victoria replied and quickly wiped her tears, as she smiled at us. I could see she was so brave. "Who is he? Who was your mate?" I asked, as rancor was rising in my blood.

"He is the cousin of Alpha Asher, David." Victoria revealed, my jaw dropped. I did not know David was his cousin. He was a mate of Victoria, they work in the same school! How cruel was Asher's pack?

"Don't cry." I comforted Victoria, she smiled at me. I put my clothes back on and we all came out of the locker room. We were walking around on the school grounds, laughing and talking about so many things. Finally, Victoria was not so melancholy now. Suddenly, all three of us stopped walking as Leo, David, and Asher were standing in front of us. The devil himself and his cruel pack were glaring at us.
