Chapter 96

Collin's POV

Seeing Cora so upset when I have to leave her makes my heart hurt. I miss her every minute of every day and my work is suffering from it. I care less about my business right now, as on any day it could all come crashing down on me. Maddie threatens me with letting the video out and attempting to use that threat to make me sleep with her, but I am not going to do it. I told her to go ahead and release it. Between the lawsuit from Mateo and Cora, her not getting any work, my lawsuit for her blackmail and extortion plan, and no one willing to hire her after Mateo's press conference a month and a half ago, she had no options at all to be able to model. She has even lost followers on all her social media pages after the press conference.

Today is the day that we put the plan in motion. It is two Saturdays later since Mateo and Ella got married and they came back the middle of this week from their honeymoon. I will be telling Maddie that today we are meeting with Mateo and Ella for her to be measured for her gown, and for Mateo and Ella to do the dress design. Maddie would be over the moon about it. I hope this works out because it could get her off my back for a little while as she will think I am fully going on with her plan for us to get married. I head into the kitchen, and I see Maddie getting a bottle of water from the fridge. She is wearing a robe, so I breathe a sigh of relief that she won't be on me for s*x this morning, but when she turns around, she is naked underneath her open robe. Maddie smiles at me as I looked at her shocked, she is really trying hard to try to get me back into bed, but I can't do it to Cora, and I am no longer attracted to Maddie, at all.

"You see anything that you like baby?" Maddie said to me as she approached me. I have never been so happy to deliver news to someone as I am right at this moment.

"I have some good news for you today, Maddie," I told her.

"So, you do see something you like" Maddie purrs at me and walks up to put her arms around my neck, and rub her body against mine.

"No, better than that. I got Mateo to agree to design your wedding dress. What do you think about that?" I asked her. Maddie started screaming in happiness and let go of my neck to spin around and then asked me, "When?"

"In an hour, we are meeting them at his studio and he and Ella are going to get you measured and then design your dress as your vision for the wedding is. It took me a while and I have been working on this for a month now, and it is costing me an arm and a leg, but I finally convinced him that he really needed to make the dress for the wedding of the year". I told her and tried to keep the grimace off my face. I will never marry this woman, but this is the best plan that we have, so I have got to do my part perfectly for it. "Baby, thank you so much!! I didn't think he would do it and him doing it for me will show everyone that he didn't mean what he said about me in the horrible press conference. Oh! I have to go get ready right now. I need to watch my diet too, so I can make sure that I fit into the dress, as I want it to be tight on my body to show off my figure", Maddie said to me and then ran off. I am so glad that I got to deliver the news to her today. She was very focused on trying to seduce me and this can probably buy me a few weeks as it looks like I am going along with it.

I sat down on the couch and waited as I knew that she would actually probably take at least an hour to get ready, and texted Mateo that we were probably going to be late due to Maddie. Mateo texted back, "We are here when you get here, and we will design her dream gown for her". I smile as I remember what he said about making her the perfect dream dress because it will make it that much harder for her to lose it when I tell her it is over. He kept that part off, probably just in case she checks my phone, and she does. I have caught her with it several times, and she tells me to make sure I don't contact Cora every single time. I actually have 2 phones and I contact Cora with the second phone. I just haven't let Maddie ever see the second phone. Maddie comes out thirty minutes later and I am amazed that we may only be 5 to 10 minutes late, depending on traffic, so that lets me know how much she is looking forward to having Mateo design the dress for her. She thinks of it as a nod to her from both Mateo and me, and she couldn't be more wrong. But we will play along with her for right now. I parked at the end of the building like Mateo told me to, and we entered by the side door. I see Iris look up at me and frown, as she is not in on the plan, and we need this to be realistic for Maddie. Iris turns her back on us and goes to tell Mateo that we are here. She comes back with just as much attitude as she left with and it almost made me smile, as she is really mad that we are here to get Maddie's wedding dress designed. Mateo can tell her what is going on after we leave, we shouldn't have to come back, and I figure I can just tell him he is clear to tell her when we leave. That way, Iris doesn't get Cora upset by calling and telling her that we are here for the dress to be designed. I was going to drop back behind Maddie and tell Iris myself, but by the looks, she is shooting at me, I had best leave it to Mateo and Ella to let her know. I know it is because she just saw me and Cora together at the wedding two weeks ago. I feel bad for Dalton as he is going to get an earful from Iris about me and Maddie tonight, so I need to make sure I save him from that. He didn't tell her because the fewer people who knew, was best for the plan until we could get it completed. I don't want his brand-new relationship being messed up by the bad choice I made.

Maddie was really happy and gushing to Mateo and Ella about how much she loved the clothing line, and they were smiling and nodding at her right up until Maddie started speaking badly against Cora.

"I don't know why you would have her at your shows. She can't keep her hands off my fiancé, and she is as big as a whale now. Cora makes your line look worse, because of how she is at trying to get someone else's man. Ella, you need to keep a close eye on Mateo here, even if she hasn't gone after him yet, she still will because that is the type of person that she is. No morals, and slutty. It will reflect badly on the other models to associate with her, as well as on your line. If you need me to, I would be glad to step in as I know that you have a show in three weeks. I would be happy to do it. I love your designs" Maddie tells them.

I am furious at what she said and seeing Mateo's and Ella's faces, I know that they are completely shocked and angry as well. Before anyone could say anything, I heard Iris yell out, "If anyone is a slut or has no morals, it is YOU, Maddie. Cora is the best person that I know, and I will not stand here and hear you speak about her like that. Mateo, I will quit if you replace Cora with this, this, this, complete b***h" and then grabs her purse and leaves. Ella ran after Iris, to let her know what is going on outside before Iris can actually quit and leave. I am looking with large eyes at Mateo because I honestly didn't know that she was going to pull this, but after knowing her for almost a year, I should have. She is a horrible person and an opportunist, so I really should have seen this coming. "I am sorry, Maddie, we will be keeping Cora on with us here. I do not require your modeling services. I am sorry that you got the wrong idea from me about being willing to make your dress. Collin is paying me to make the dress, not to let you model for my line. I prefer to create for women with curvier figures, so we will be staying with Cora on this", Mateo told Maddie.

I heard the sounds of movement behind me and saw that Ella and Iris had heard what Mateo had just said before they both disappeared into a back room. I hope Ella tells Iris what is going on while they are back there. Dalton has been a good friend to me through all of this, and I don't want him getting yelled at by Iris because of Maddie.

"I was just going to offer my services. If you want to stick with her, that is your problem. I was just going to offer, as I care about how your clothing line is perceived, Mateo", Maddie said to Mateo and shrugged before walking over to his drawing pad and sitting down. Maddie kept tweaking and changing aspects of the dress-up, and Mateo would patiently make the necessary corrections to it as he continued to work on her vision. By the end of it, though, Maddie was almost crying about how the dress looked, as she was looking at her dream dress. She had tears showing in her eyes as they discussed the fabric and the shade of white that she wanted for the dress. By the time she was going to be measured, Mateo had a small sample of the fabric and the lace she wanted on the dress next to the drawing of the design. This was probably the happiest I have ever seen Maddie, and she was glowing. She actually looked beautiful, with how she was smiling and happy right now. I knew that this plan was actually going to work, Maddie was all in on this dress and I could tell by how she gazed lovingly at the design on Mateo's drawing pad that she was in love with this dress. He had captured her vision perfectly and it truly would be the blow that makes her snap when it is taken away from her. I just had to get some video cameras set up in my apartment, to capture it, as well as set them up with Jack so when she blows, he can come in before she really tries to kill me. She is hanging on by a thread here, so it could happen if she gets mad enough. Jack said that with what he had on her now, we are at 30 years if she gets the max time. Since everything had either a video or audio that was recorded by the cell phone of my lawyer and my brother's cell phones with her phone number and name showing a recording of her. When she assaults me with a weapon, it will be another 25 years tacked onto her time. I just want to get the video off her phone, and the cloud. Maddie isn't great with computers, so she didn't even store it on a flash drive or disc. Just her phone and the cloud. I just want that video to go away forever, never to be seen again, so Nicolas is going to have it deleted as soon as the trial is over. We have her on several videos forcing me to get engaged, to buy her clothes and jewelry, and give her cash. Her doing it in the living room is the reason I got the little recorder with the remote activation for recording. I start it before I go into the living room so she never sees anything out of the way with how I am acting or behaving around her. Two more weeks. I can do this for two more weeks, and then this will all be over.
