To think that Hugh had the audacity to dislike Caroline.

Caroline did not even fancy him at all.

However, Caroline was right. Hugh had too many close female friends from various industries. Who would believe him even if he said he was just friends with them?

If he had a girlfriend, how would she be able to accept it?

Caroline said, "I believe you when you said Mr. Hugh is faithful once he falls in love with someone. However, it's difficult to make that kind of man fall in love. They're used to enjoying a forest rather than staying with only one tree."

Since Caroline had no feelings for Hugh, it would be inappropriate for Hayden to continue talking about her younger brother.

Who told her brother to look flirty all the time?

From that moment onward, Hayden gave up playing matchmaker for her brother and Caroline.

Hayden and Caroline strolled a few rounds around the garden. When Donald and the rest returned, Kevin cooked personally and prepared a delicious feast for everyone. Of course, there was a barbecue too. Even Caroline, who was not a barbecue fan, enjoyed it.

She complimented Kevin's cooking skills and said the person Kevin married in the future would be lucky.

Kevin stared at Hayden and said with a grin, "Hayden's a little thin. I want to make her look fuller."

Hayden's expression turned cold. She told him, "I don't need you providing for me, Mr. Kevin."

"I know you're capable and don't need anyone's help, Hay. I just want to prepare your three meals."

"Mr. Kevin, I think I've gotten thinner lately. Why don't you feed me and make me look rounder too?" Hugh teased.

Kevin gave him a sidelong glance. He said, "You'll be as fat as a pig and not just a little rounder if you eat more."

Hugh said, "You're biased, Mr. Kevin. My brother and I were born to the same mother, and we look alike. However, you treat my brother so well, as if he's a fragile item or something that might break. My parents aren't even half as nice to my brother as you are.

"In contrast, you always look annoyed at me. In what way am I inferior to my brother?"

Caroline said with a smile, "Haven't you heard that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder? To Mr. Kevin, Hayden is unique. No one can compare to him."

Hayden was at a loss for words.

She should not have spoken. She would always get teased whenever she spoke.

Hayden looked toward her parents. They were grinning and watching them messing around without any intention of stopping them.

Hayden knew her parents had already treated Kevin as their son-in-law. She could not do anything about it.

After the meal, Caroline did not remain in Queen Manor and took her leave.

Hayden told Hugh to see Caroline off. He stood up unwillingly to do so, and Caroline did not reject the offer either.

Hugh came back after a short while.

"Has Ms. Caroline left?" Hayden asked.

"Well, is she going to stay for supper if she doesn't leave after having dinner?" Hugh replied.

Hayden was speechless.

When her brother sat beside her, she whispered, "You don't have to be like a porcupine. She doesn't fancy you anyway. She thinks you're too flirty." Hugh's eyes widened. Was he flirty? When was he flirty?

He did have plenty of close female friends, but they were all platonic without any romantic feelings involved. How was that flirty?

Caroline knew nothing.
