CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 608
Nash rubbed his forehead. The pain was preventing him from focusing on their words.
He could not remember what he had done last night. It felt too much like a dream.
If Nina had come, at least he would have seen her. He could not continue to appear so disheveled.
"You two, leave," Nash said hoarsely, dismissing them.
"Yes!" They both promptly left.
But within ten minutes, James reported from the doorway, "Captain, Miss Miranda is here!"
Nash quickly washed up and changed his clothes. He felt a slight discomfort at the news but concealed it. "Have her wait downstairs," he said coldly. Miranda was in a good mood. She had secured the starring role in the most anticipated TV series adaptation, a major breakthrough for her career. If the drama became a hit, she would firmly establish herself in the entertainment industry. She came specifically to share this good news with Nash.
After waiting for about twenty minutes, Miranda saw Nash coming down. She immediately greeted him, "Nash!"
Nash's eyes were not on her. "What's the matter?" he asked, ignoring her warmth.
Despite his coldness, Miranda directly took his arm. She knew Nash would not refuse her.
She exclaimed joyfully, "I got the female lead in 'Demon Bone'! Aren't I amazing? With this drama, I will definitely become famous. I'll be able to stand proudly by your side. Nash, everything I do is to be worthy of you." She wanted him to know that everything she did was for him.
Nash replied, "Your achievements are not for my sake."
Miranda's expression changed slightly. "You can't say that. Everything I do is to deserve you!"
Nash glanced at her. He had wanted to say something, but he realized that no matter how much he said, her attitude would not change. He decided not to say more.
Miranda continued to talk, but Nash only responded with a few accommodating words. He had no interest in her matters, even though she wanted to share her joy with him.
Nash sat on the sofa, playing with his phone. He came across some news.
Penelope would star in "Glory," a dark modern drama. There were not many comments about it, and its popularity was much lower compared to Miranda's drama. Nash stared at that name.
The investor was Nina. Was she interested in becoming an investor now?
Miranda sat beside him, noticing the news he was reading. She could not help but smile sarcastically, "I really don't understand what Nina is thinking. She actually invested in this drama, which was written by a new director and isn't mature in various aspects. It's risky and has been in the news for several days with no discussion heat."
She could not understand why Nina would take such a risky move. Investing casually like this was reckless. With Penelope starring in it, it was basically suicidal. This time, she would definitely turn the tables. Nash remained silent. However, he would support everything Nina did.
"Let's go. The director is waiting for us, let's have a meal together. I'll be entering the set soon," Miranda said. "By the way, it seems like their crew is in the same location as ours. We might see each other often."
