While Scarlet was busy reading the book and absorbing the contents inside her mind, she was also thinking that she is the born queen of the mermaid clan and she have to gather them.

But she wasn't sure till now as if her thoughts were also muddleheaded like her own self. So, she thought to return the book back to Mr. camel, but then something unexpected happened.

The book suddenly started to change its color and became like a water manuscript in her hands. Some words also started to appear over the pages. This all had made the girl dumbstruck when she realised that she had been cursing the book writer. 'Hmm.. so it's a magic book. I guess,I am the queen. So, it's following my mind. Good book. You are pretty useful, I think! She murmured slowly like a whisper and started to read about the powers that were bestowed to mermaids since ages. -INSIDE THE BOOK (BEING A MERMAID) THAT SCARLET WAS READING~

It is said that the mermaids are very very intelligent species. They are just like humans having emotions. They know how to love and how to spread love.

They protect their families and friends and their close ones even if they are mermaids or some one else it doesn't matter.

A mermaid can only be born to a mermaid, or at least one of the partners must be a mermaid. There are numerous times that mermaids have been the hybrids of humans too. Many humans fell in love with the mermaids like that fairy man. But unlike him, they spent their lives with their partners, of course hidden from the world and it's sharp piercing eyes.

Scarlet suddenly stopped reading and thought for a while in her mind...

'If I am to be a mermaid or so called fish who have numerous powers and according to this book, a mermaid could be born only from a mermaid, then does it ... does it mean that.. that.......Ooooohhh...! Holy shit..

She thought for a while and being amazed she stopped the reading and placed a bookmark in the book. She was in a hurry and headed out of the library taking the book along with her.

But everyone was not in hurry like she was. The female librarian who had been watching her all the time, spoke and it made scarlet halt in her steps that were too hasty and steady.

"You need to get it issued, girl. It's against the university policy to take a book along with you without getting it issued." said the librarian while adjusting her thin glasses over her long sharp nose. Scarlet realised the reality and hurriedly defended herself saying...

".. Pardon me mam.. I was just in a hurry. Kindly issue me this book."

She approached the issuing section and reported the name, number and code of book along with the other credentials to the librarian.

"Well, sign here." ordered the librarian drifting a pen towards the girl.

She hastily signed the paper over there and before she could leave, the librarian spoke once again getting on her nerves...

"Since, it is a prohibited book according to your course, so I can only issue it to you for two days. You have to return it back before day after tomorrow. Otherwise, get ready to pay the heavy fine."

Scarlet not allowing the clumsy librarian to poke her sharp nose in her business longer, nodded her head and headed out of the library saying thank you.

- INSIDE LOZENGE HOUSE-

Scarlet was back home now and wanted the answers to her all questions.

If she was a mermaid, then one among her parents, either mother of father must be a mermaid or merman. She needed to find it. But she couldn't ask it out directly.

Because, if that happened and she failed to get nothing in the end, surely she would be in a grave problem and would have to answer all the suspicions of her dear family.

She started to make plans and immediately when she entered the house thinking all this stuff, found her mom and dad sitting in the dinning area having lunch.

"Sweetie, you are back. Come, freshen up. I have made Mexican for you today." said her mom lovingly to which she nodded, washed her hands and then settled with them.

'What can I use to make them spill the truth?' she was thinking it when suddenly an idea crossed her mind and taking the jar full of water, she hauled up slowly making staggering actions, spiller all of the water over her mother who was sitting besides her. To her surprise, her mother was still the same and didn't change into something called mermaid or so and she earned glares and sharp beating from her for being clumsy.

'That's good. Mom is not a mermaid or so, I can guess it now with my powers. One down, one left.

Watch out dad. Next will be you.' She thought in her mind and started to have her lunch while her mother went on to change the drenched clothes, all thanks to her dear daughter.

After that time, when night approached the RIVERSTONE TOWN, Scarlet was ready with another plan to test her father, Mr. Lozenge for being the same species like her. She needed to be sure by now.

When he was watching TV sitting in the living room, she came to him and rested her head in his lap which he caressed lovingly planting a soft kiss over his sweet daughter's temples.

But.. poor dad... he didn't know that this sweet daughter of him had turned cunning now and today it was his turn to experience the wrath after her mother.

Scarf snuggled close to her dad like a baby and started to sing faintly in a low voice. She was trying to hypnotize him with her mermaid voice because by now she had taken a note of some of her powers out of which singing and hypnosis was one of them. Slowly and swiftly, her dad became like a sitting statue with every body part functioning properly but not in his own senses. He was under his dear daughter's control. She confirmed the situation and then got away from him.

Patting his cheeks multiple times, she was now completely sure that, he was under her hypnosis. She looked into his eyes and focused in between his brows to look for his all memories.

Day after day, she went back to the days when he was in his own mother's womb, but nothing like of him being a mermaid was there.

'It means,... I m not their daughter. ... Their biological daughter. Because, none of them is a mermaid.' She came to know the reality but still chose to let it be.

What's in there if she wasn't born to them? She was still their dear daughter and they loved her the most.

Wiping away some unruly tears from the corners of her perfectly mascaraed eyes, she lift away her tiny finger before again plopping into her dad's lap freeing him from her magic and sleeping soundly with him still caressing her head like he used to do when she was a toddler. -DESTINY LAND~

Choice was reading a royal scripture that had the contents about the vampires and werewolves. She was so into the scrolls that she didn't notice about the arrival of her sister Destiny.

"What are reading so curiously and seriously little one?" Asked Destiny to Choice to which Choice flared her nose and held her head high saying showing her rage ....

"How many times do I have to tell you sister, that I am not a little one now, I am already 20000 years older by now."

"Yes yes .. my 20000 years old little one, now stop flaring your nose and tell me what are you into so eagerly..!?"

"Alright... I am reading the royal scripture that dad had written over years ago about vampires and werewolves." Said Choice with glittering eyes and it was a sign that she was going to do something again. Destiny got it immediately and held her hand getting concerned...

"But why dear ... Weren't you interested into Scarlet and Emerald these days...? And they are not Vampire and werewolves... They are mermaids and Werewolves. Then why do y...."

Choice cut her amidst the talk and replied making her stunned......

"Yes, sister... they are not.

But what if they were ..!"
