Why deceive me?? -
67. How Did I Get Here?
even thinking about her in that way?
I was having a hard time in the office before I decided to come to the club to cool off my head. I had barely taken two shots of whiskey when I spotted her dancing and swaying her hips on the dance floor. I was shocked and decided to take her away from there.
There are many things I'd like to tell her. Like how I'm in love with her, how I've always been in love with he from the very first time I saw her. She was such a nice young lady who cares only about her mother. I just hope she's not in love with someone else. I know she isn't my mate but I need her by my side for the rest of my life. Well, all that thoughts would be for another day. But for now, I'll have to get a good night's sleep as I'd scare her if my face was looking like a ghost in the morning. KATIE'S POV
I woke up with a banging head. It felt like my head was on fire. I opened my eyes and noticed something weird. I wasn't at the party I went to last night and I was not at my house.
"Calm down girl. Everything is fine," I tried to tell myself.
I felt like I wasn't complete so I immediately checked under the covers. I was only in my panties. No bra, nothing else. "Ahhhhhhh," I screamed.
A guy burst into the room. He looked scared. Of course, he should be. Who knows what he has done to me?
"What happened," He asked.
"How the hell did I end up in a place like this?" I blurted out.
"I brought you here," He calmly said.
"And who the hell are you and what did you do to me," I asked, not caring if I sounded rude.
The guy seemed shocked. "Ronnie, what are you talking about? I didn't do anything to you. Why would you even think that?" He asked.
"And how am I supposed to believe you?" I asked.
"You should know me by now Ronnie. I can't do no such thing to you," He defended himself.
I frowned. Why was he calling me Ronnie? Wait, he thinks I'm Ronnie? Well, who cares?
"Who the f*ck are you calling Ronnie?" I asked.
He seemed taken aback by what I was saying. Well, I was not in America. I was in Europe where no one knows me as Ronnie. Why would I let some silly girl make me act like her? I was gonna act like myself. "What are you saying?" He asked.
I scoffed at his stupidity. "Are you an illiterate or something? Didn't you just hear what I said? My name is Katie Philip and I'm a model, although not popular yet," I said, rolling my eyes.
He didn't seem to take that part of the news well.
"Then how come you have the same features as her?" He asked.
"I don't care about any damned person," I yelled at him.
That seemed to have done the trick on him.
"Wait. You mean you're not to Ronnie?" He asked.
"Duh," I said, rolling my eyes.
"Wow," He said and placed his hand on his mouth in astonishment.
"What the hell were you thinking before bringing me here?" I asked.
"Well, I thought you were someone I know so I thought it wise to do so," He defended.
"And why did you remove my dress? Everything. Why?" I yelled again.
"Ok, you're yelling," He said.
"Hello, I'm still talking," I said
He looked at me stupified. Well, he should be. I need an explanation and I need it fast.
"Now tell me," I said
"Well, you were drunk and reeling from alcohol and I thought it wise to do so. You couldn't sleep well with that on you," He said
"For starters, I don't care how I sleep. And in the future, don't do such again," I bluntly said.
"Well, thanks for letting me know. But there would be no next time as you're leaving my house now," He said.
My eyes bulged out. How can he say that?
"I don't understand what you mean by that. You're not chasing me out of your house, are you?" I asked
"Oh, yes. I accepted your thank you very well," He said.
"Oh that. Ok. Thank you for your kindness," I said.
"Well, that still doesn't change the fact that you're leaving my house this instant," I said
"I'll leave. Don't stress about it. Just let me wear my clothes first," I said.
He looked at me and walked out.
I sighed and went into the shower to freshen up. After that was done, I saw a dryer in the drawer and I reached for it. I dried my hair, wore my clothes, and started downstairs. The smell of fresh food made me quicken my pace. When I found my way to the kitchen, I was astonished to see the man standing by the cooking gas, shirtless and cooking something I presumed to be delicious. He turned to face me after sensing someone was in the room. "Hi," I said, knowing full well he wasn't gonna reply to me.
"Yeah. Hi," he replied and smiled.
I was shocked. Wasn't he supposed to be angry at me? Why was he smiling? I fiddled with my fingers.
"Umm...what are you cooking?" I asked.
"Breakfast. Beacon and eggs," he relied on. "Mind staying for breakfast before leaving?" He asked me.
"Oh. That's so nice of you. But I'm not hungry," I replied, lying because I didn't want to be seen as hungry. "Of you wish," He replied
"Well I don't think I can stay," I said, and at that moment, my stomach rumbled. He chuckled silently.
"I see what you mean by you're not hungry," He said.
I blushed in embarrassment.
From my view, I could see he was built up and masculine. More like he was working out. Well, now is not the time to drool over a guy.
"Well, take your seat while I serve breakfast," He said and I immediately turned and sat at the dining table. It wasn't long till I could smell and see fresh breakfast served on my table. He turned around after serving me and sat in his seat. He started munching on his meal and I couldn't help but gaze at how he eats. He was so handsome even while eating. He caught my gaze and held it. I immediately averted my gaze and started eating. The food tasted as good as it smells. "It's nice, you know," I said
"Thanks," He replied.
"Well, I'm sorry for how I acted earlier. I was scared something would have happened to me," I said
"No problem," he said and stared at me in a daze.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing, it's just that you look so much alike to Ronnie," He said.
"Nah, no problem. Now to prove that I appreciate your kind gesture to me, let me take you out to dinner today. Bills on me," I said, hoping he'd say yes.
"I'll be free today. No problem," He said
I handed my phone to him. "Here, input your number. I'll come to pick you up by 7. Is that fine by you?" I asked
He looked at me with surprised eyes. "No problem," he collected the phone from me.
Well, at least going to the party wasn't a waste of time. I'll go on a date today with a hottie. I love how things are turning out for me in this country.
