Why deceive me??
63. Are You Dumping Me?

Why is he acting so sweet toward me? I wouldn't say I don't enjoy it but it'll make it hard not to forgive him. How I love the way his hands are messaging my cold feet. I tried to focus but he was breaking all my concentration. I felt a little ting of pain in my legs but it couldn't be compared to the pleasure of having this masculine and handsome man doing this to my senses. What can I say? I'm in love with him but mad at him. Why did he even do it? I'll make sure he tells me what made him take such a harsh decision on me. We were fine just before we arrived at the hospital, but he changed his demeanor and turned cold when we were heading back home. I think something triggered his anger. I've got to find out. But for now, I think I'll stay cold and receive all the pampering that comes with being mad.

Sara walks to the parking lot and saw Alan already waiting for her.

"You're here?" She asked.

"What do you mean by that? Am I a ghost or something?" He asked.

Sara rolled he eyes at him. "I mean what are you doing here?"She asked.

"I recalled you didn't employ me and neither do you have any right to ask me questions. Let's go if you don't want to be late for your audition," Alan said and slid into the car. Sara entered the car and made herself comfortable before turning to Alan in anger.

"What now?" Alan asked, sensing her anger.

"Weren't you supposed to open the door for me before coming into your seat?" Sara fumed.

Alan sighed. "See, I don't have time for you this morning,"

"Aren't you supposed to be nice and all that to me?" She asked.

"Why should I become all lovey-dovey to you?" He asked, confused.

"Well..." She began, fiddling with her fingers. "After what happened between us last night and..."

"Hold up," Alan halted her. "What happened between us is past now. We both should forget it and move on,"

Sara's eyes bulged. "What do you mean forget it? Are you dumping me?"

"I never asked you to throw yourself at me. I do these things with all my women and they both forget it by the next day and we all move on. Is that hard for you to understand?" Alan asked, bewildered

Sara felt her ears turn hot. She felt tears blurring her eyes and she ignored them. She turned her head toward the window.

"Fine then. We both should forget it, and act like nothing ever happened between us. After all, it was my fault," She said.

Alan nodded and smiled. "Now that's what I'm talking about. All that taking responsibility for my action things are old fashioned. We just do things we aren't proud of and move on," he said and Sara ignored him. They both stayed in silence as Alan was focused on the road, while Sara was pretending to be mesmerized by the stories on the floor.

They arrived at their destination in no less than an hour and Alan stopped the car.

"We've successfully arrived at your destination ma'am," Alan said courteously.

Sara ignored him and came out of the car.

She carried her luggage and went into her house. Alan sat inside the car as he watched her go into her house. He smiled within himself and drove off.

It's been three weeks since the incident, and Ronnie was yet to talk to Damon. While he wasn't t work, she would ignore him even though he seemed calm and tried to make peace with her. They shared the same room but never entered the shower together. Ronnie was always careful of her secret being let out. Every day, she goes to the hospital alone to visit her mother. Damon was barely at home these days and the house seemed lonely. although she wouldn't talk to him about the little time he spends at home she was grateful to see his face. She wanted to tell him she forgives him as he had suffered enough. He barely eats breakfast before going to work in the morning as usual and it was getting on her nerves. She decided to end all of it today.

She just arrived home from the hospital not quite long ago when she saenterntered her room. She went into the shower immediately as she was feeling groggy. She was still wrapped in her towel when she thought she felt a presence in the room. She turned around and was shocked to see Damon, looking all weary and tired.

"Welcome," She said plainly and continued applying her lotion. Damon just looked at her and walked to her. Before she could know what was happening, he wrapped his hands around her waist.

"What are you doing?" She asked and started to untangle his hands but he wouldn't bulge. "Please, let me just stay like this for a little while," He said and placed his head on her neck.

Ronnie knew something was off with him and she didn't know what it was. Why was he sad? She knew this wasn't the man she knew. She knew he wasn't gonna tell her why he was sad, and all she could do was give him her attention. "What happened?" She asked, concern showing all over her face as she turned to face him.

"Please, talk to me. I don't want to stay like him anymore. I can't concentrate at work, I look like a loner. Please," He pleaded. Ronnie was shocked. Why was he acting like this now? He was sad just because she wasn't talking to him? But he started it. She looked at him and smiled. "Is that why you're sad?"

Damon looked at her. A glimpse of hope flashed through his eyes but disappeared as soon as it had come. He nodded. "It's ok. I just didn't think you'd do that and I was so angry at you," She finally said and hugged him.

"Does that mean I'm forgiven?" He asked.

"Yeah," She said, smiling.

"I don't believe you," He said.

"What do you want me to do to prove it?" She asked.

"I want to sleep with you," He demanded.

Ronnie's eyes bulged.
