Why deceive me?? -
47. Get Out Of The Room
"Wait, since when did the great Katie who didn't believe in love fall for Damon?" Sara asked, surprised.
"Maybe this new Katie wants to experience what it feels like to love someone since someone can't seem to make even a single guy fall in love with her, " Ronnie said and smirked. Fury could be seen washing over Sara as she stared daggers at Ronnie. She immediately smiled.
"Well, no need to be overly happy. Move out of my room," Sara said
Ronnie seemed taken aback. "What do you mean? This is my room, my home," Ronnie replied curtly.
"Don't push it. You and Damon ain't married so that gives you no right to anything," Sara said.
"You must be kidding," Ronnie said and laughed.
"She is not kidding," Said Mrs. Ayra, who just came into the room.
Ronnie turned to look at where the voice came from. "Umm..."
"That's Damon's mum if you don't mind the introduction," Sara said.
Realization dawned on Ronnie and she smiled. "Oh, sorry about my manners. Welcome mother,"
"Did you just call me your mother? And who gave you the guts to call me that? How do I look like your mum," She raged. "Sorry," Ronnie apologized.
"Sorry for yourself. Calling me your mother as if I look like that makeup-frustrated woman," Ayra said and Sara giggled.
Even though Mrs. Philips was not her real mother, she knew it was rude not to defend her.
"With all due respect ma'am, I realize you don't like me but please can you keep my mother out of this?" She politely asked and what she earned was a loud deafening slap.
"How dare you oppose me? Are you trying to rebel? Now get your filthy self out of my son's room before I tell Sara to make Mama wolf proud and descend on you," She demanded and Ronnie walks out of the room silently. "Sara, start by taking her things out of the room before installing yours. You can rather get a maid to do it." Mrs. Ayra said and walked out of the room.
Ronnie gently walks out of the house to the garden to clear her head and not cry out so the maids won't know what was happening to her.
Once she was seated on the beautifully carved seat, she let her heart out.
Damon finished what he was doing with his computer and set out to Ronnie's room to check up on her. Once he got there, he saw Sara on the bed sleeping peacefully. She frowned and closed the door as quietly as he opened it. He walked downstairs to check if she was in the dining. She wasn't there. She wasn't inside the mansion.
"Molly," Damon called out.
Molly, one of the maids, was in the kitchen with the chef, preparing lunch when she heard her name. She ran out to answer.
"Yes sir," She replied
"Have you seen my fiancee anywhere?" He asked.
Molly nodded in the negative. "No sir, I haven't used my eyes to see the madam today. You want me to help you check?" She asked.
Just then, Alan passed by. He wanted to get food to eat. Damon called out to him.
"Alan, have you seen Katie, perhaps?" He asked.
"Yeah, she went out toward the garden," He replied nonchalantly.
Damon went out hastily toward the direction Alan had pointed out for him.
"Why is sire in a rush? You think he starts falling for the young missus?" Molly inquired.
"I think they paid you to cook and nothing more," Alan said and walked past her.
Damo arrived at the garden and saw Ronnie seated on the garden seat with her head down. He walked closer and he could feel his heart in pain. He didn't know why, but he felt like he was feeling what she was feeling at that point. He could hear her sobbing so quietly that someone wouldn't notice. He reached his hand for her and taped her.
"Katie, what's wrong?" He asked.
Ronnie immediately wiped her tears and stood up. She avoided looking directly at him, scared he'd figure out she was crying. "Nothing, I'm fine," She replied quickly.
"Katie," Damon called.
He used his hand to raise her face so she was staring straight at him.
"What's up? You can't tell me you ain't crying. I'm not a kid anymore you know, "Damon said.
"It's nothing. I got something stuck in my eyes," She lied.
"Katie, stop it," Damon warned.
Ronnie sighed. "I was asked to move out of my room and received a slap from your mother," She said, not faring to look at him "You mean my mum slapped you? Wait, that is not her room. Why would she asked you to move out of your room?" He demanded
"It wasn't her who wanted to stay there. It was the lady I saw in your room the other day," She answered.
"You mean Sara asked you together with my mum, tool move out of your room? That's absurd," He said.
"Don't worry, I'll just move into another room," She began
"Let's not stress the issue. You need her to like you right?" he asked.
"Yeah," Ronnie replied, doubtfully.
"Move to my room then, till I get things sorted," Damon said, smiling inwardly that she was gonna come back to his room as an opportunity just presented itself.
"Your room?" Ronnie asked, just so the sure she heard right.
"You have a problem with it?"Damon asked
"Not that. It's just that...."She began but he interrupted her.
"Or you can choose to stay with Sara instead." He asked.
"No. No." She began frantically. "I'll stay with you," She said and bent her head.
"Now, no more crying. Just ignore them ok?" Damon said, embracing her.
She held him tight and whimpered. She nodded her head and they stayed like that for a few minutes. Damon raised her head so she was looking at him and brought his face to hers. "Should I?" He asked.
She nodded and he placed his lips on hers for a long passionate kiss. Ronnie broke the kiss after a while and looked at his eyes for a moment, contemplating if she should ask what was on her mind. "What's on your mind?" He asked.
"Do you love me?" She asked
Damon froze.
