43. Great Timing

"Let's go," I said to her and we started off to the car park. To everyone's surprise, the security supervisor gave me my car key and I walked to the Maserati MC 20 and opened the door, and stepped in. I brought my head out the window and yelled at them.

"Keep screaming your heads out while I keep surprising you," I laughed.

My bestie was so happy knowing that everyone's car is still far behind her bestie's own.

"Babes. I will text you when we will have the dinner and location soon. Take care" I said to my bestie before I zoomed off.

I saw her waving at me, smiling.

I can't believe you're going, big brother." Sara said, wiping away the mini tears that were threatening to drop on her face.

Daniel was leaving for the states and both of his sisters, Astra and Sara were escorting him to the airport. Sara was having a hard time believing that she wasn't gonna see her big brother for a long time.

He had checked up on Bianca every single day and had not seen Ronnie, once. He had concluded she was so busy with work that she wasn't chanced to come to see her mother. He tried reaching out to her but it seemed impossible as her line was out of reach. He missed her. He wanted her to know he was leaving the next day but he couldn't even get a trace of her. He wished he at least knew where she was working so he could tell her his last goodbye.

He wanted to postpone it again but he had done that twice and if he tried again, he was gonna lose the opportunity of a lifetime. He was risking his career and he didn't like that one bit.

Sara had insisted to follow him to the airport and he had tried to decline because she was a crybaby. But being the last child of the family, she always had her way. Now here she was, crying like some teenager. "Come on, you're way past this. It's not like I'm gonna get married over there," Daniel tried to console his baby sister.

"Jeez, you know she's gonna miss you. You don't have to be so blunt.," Astra scolded him.

"Ok, big sis. I want you guys to take good care of yourself, you know," Daniel said.

"You should be the one advising yourself. No late-night food again. And I mean it, Daniel," Astra said, with a note of finality.

"Ok, boss," Daniel said playfully.

"Come on, for Christ's sake, Astra, tell Sara not to embarrass herself more than this. Someone would think I'm her boyfriend and I just broke up with her," Daniel pleaded with Astra.

"You should be grateful that someone is already missing you," Sara pouted her lips.

Daniel smiled and patted her on the head. He looked at his watch and sighed.

"I better get on the plane. It takes off in ten minutes," Daniel said and made to leave

"And you don't want to hug your dear sister," Sara whined again.

Daniel rolled his eyes at her childishness and hugged her. He gave Astra a peck on the cheek and scurried off.

Sara looked in his direction and smiled. "He's gonna find love there," Sara said.

"How do you know that?" Astra asked, not surprised though.

"The same way I told you you were gonna get married to Joseph even when you didn't know who the hell Joseph was," Sara said and smiled while going back into their car.

"It's one thing to be a wolf and it's another thing to have a sister who sees the vision," Astra said. "I wonder why she doesn't see things concerning her life," She sighed and strode to the car. Immediately she got to the car, Sara turned toward her. "What are you waiting for? Aren't you gonna drive?"

"Astra just rolled her eyes at the drama queen and started the engine.

"Wait," Sara suddenly said.

"What is it this time," Astra asked.

"Don't worry about me, just go on, I'll take a taxi," She said and started unbuckling her seatbelt.

"Where are you going to?" Astra asked.

"To Damon's," She replied.

"Why?" Astra asked

"I want to see his face," She said and smiled.

"You do realize he has a fiancee loving in his house?" Astra asked.

At that, Sara's expression darkened.

"I don't care. After all, they are going to get married based on a paper contract. Not because they love each other," She said and smiled again.

"Sara," Astra called

"Don't worry, I won't cause a ruckus there. Besides, I have this feeling my mate is in that house and it could be no one but Damon." Sara said and slammed the door shut.

"Ok then," Astra said

"See ya," She said and waved as Astra drove off

In less than an hour, Sara was at the front of the enormous mansion. She smirked and goes in.

She strode inside and found no one in the sitting room, except the maids of course.

"What great timing," she said and walked up the stairs to Damon's room.

Damon was in the bathroom when he thought he heard footsteps in his room. Thinking it was Ronnie, he smiled inwardly and came out, wrapped only in his towel. He wanted to see her reaction when she sees him like that. The moment he walked out, he was faced with a shocked face of Sara.

"Oh my gosh. What are you wearing?" She asked.

"What are you doing in my room," He asked, not playing nice.

Ronnie's car drove in and parked at the park. She got out and went in immediately. Once she was inside the house, Estella came rushing to her.

"Ma'am Kate, welcome," Estella said, panting.

Ronnie was shocked. "Why are you panting dear? Did you run around the whole of New York?" she teased.

"Not that, there's a pretty lady in the boss's room," Estella said.

"Pretty lady? What lady?" Ronnie asked, frowning.

"I didn't mean to pry, I just wanted you to know. She's been here a couple of times." Estella said.

"A couple of times? That means she comes around often?" She asked

"Yeah, it's Miss Sara. I heard she's your nemesis who claims to be your friend" Estella added

Ronnie took that part of the information and smiled.

"If she's my friend then, I'll go confirm." She said and walked upstairs.

As she was walking upstairs, all thoughts came into her mind.

Katie's friend?

Which of her friend?

How close are they?

Oh my gosh, not again

I thought I was done memorizing things about Katie.

Once she reached the front of Damon's door, she placed her ears to hear where the conversation was heading to.

"Oh, Damon. Don't be such a turnoff. I just wanted to see you and say hi. I've missed you," Sara said.

"That's nice of you. How have you been?" He asked.

"I've been good," Sara replied.

"Umm... As you can see, I'm almost naked, what do you say about that," Damon asked.

At that point, Ronnie who had heard enough opened the door. She stood there for a moment looking at both of them with rage.

Damon, who was enjoying the rage and jealousy he saw in her eyes, smiled inwardly. He decided to tease her.

"Oh, you're back, do you need anything?" He asked.

"Umm..." She began, looking anywhere but at him. "Nothing, I forgot something in here," She lied.

"Something you mean?" Damon asked, knowing within him, she was lying.

Ronnie just walked past him into the bathroom and removed one of her earnings and came out.

"Here," She said, waving it at his face. "This is what I forgot," She said.

"Ok then, anything else you forgot??" He asked.

Ronnie looked at him with disdain and walks out of the room, slamming the door shut.
