Chapter 191 update
I apologize that my words would be hurtful but, is the author a man or a woman who grew up in a dysfunctional family? Because I noticed that throughout their writing, they are pretty biased towards the male lead, Xavier, and would often justify his unpleasant behaviors, but when it comes to the female lead, Yvette, they would label her actions as "selfish" or something along the lines when she is done dealing with the MLs cruel and unkind actions and behavior.
Chapter 271 update
It's painful to read that the male lead doesn't know how to introspect, he haven't tried to collect and organize his thoughts and feelings, he haven't learn how to put himself on the FL's shoes, he haven't learn nor tried to understand where the FL is coming from. There's barely an improvement on him and he's so horrible he always force himself to the FL. These kinds of men are the ones who deserve to be alone for life for they have zero sympathy for others. I reckon that in the future chapters there'll be a backstory why the ML became that way to justify his cruel actions and words.
Ps: I'll update my review again if there's a significant progress in the development of the characters, especially Xavier.
Pss: So there's no significant improvement towards the ML. I like that there's a significant development on the FL's side but it's the opposite for the ML. Don't waste your time if you're waiting for something to happen to them.
