"I know," Nelson said, "I'm leaving now. Wait for me at the door. How about we have dinner at Delica Restaurant?"

"Alright."

"Let's make it clear first; it's my treat," Nelson said. "Whoever gets there first can go to the private room. I've booked Room 306 on the third floor."

"Okay." Jensen didn't refuse.

Alice was cautious when she saw Nelson.

In a private room on the third floor of Delica Restaurant, Alice followed Jensen into the room and saw a middle-aged man. The middle-aged man looked familiar.

As she took a closer look, Alice realized that Jensen looked very much like his father.

"Dad!" Jensen greeted him first and pulled Alice over gently. "This is Alice, my girlfriend. Alice, this is my dad."

"Nice to meet you, Uncle." Alice immediately greeted cautiously. Although she was very respectful, it was obvious that she looked very nervous and her voice trembled.

Nelson was originally a policeman, so he could naturally hear Alice nervousness.

He smiled and said, "Hello, Alice. Come in and have a seat. There's no need to be so nervous."

"Thank you, Uncle," Alice said politely. "Please take a seat, too."

Jensen understood immediately. "Dad, do you know what it is?"

"I know." Nelson said, "It's too expensive. It's a watch, and a branded one."

As he said this, he turned his eyes to Alice and looked at her with sincerity.

Alice was a little uneasy and explained, "Uncle, this is the first time I'm meeting you, so I wanted to give you a small gift. I hope that you like it."

"I really like it." Nelson said frankly, "I have never accepted any gifts from anyone. Jensen and his mother are heartless and no one has ever given me one, but I accept this gift from my daughter-in-law. However, please don't buy such expensive gifts next time."

Upon hearing this, Alice felt warmth in her heart. She thought that Jensen's father was really different from his mother.

They seemed like people from two two different worlds.

Jensen's mother was so sharp that no one dared to approach her.

Whereas his father was so calm and amiable.

It was a sharp contrast.

Alice felt a little relieved. She nodded and said, "We will do what we can in the future. I will also remind Jensen to think about you."

Nelson smiled and said, "It's said that having a daughter is like having a sweet, little cotton-padded jacket. It's true. With you, I can be assured of Jensen's happiness in the future."

Alice felt warmer. She thought that Jensen's father was really a very nice person.

He looked so kind and loving.

"Dad, let's order the dishes," Jensen said.

"Well, you guys order. Let's see what Alice likes to eat." Nelson gave the menu to Jensen, "I have ordered several specialities of Delica Restaurant. You can order some of Alice's favorite dishes and combine them."

"You don't need to order just for me." Alice said, "I am fine with anything."

Nelson said, "We have to at least order a few dishes."

Therefore, Jensen took the menu and studied it with Alice. "Do you like this?"

Alice looked at the price and thought it was a little expensive. She shook her head and said, "Let's order some vegetables."

When she said this, she sounded genuinely considerate.

Nelson listened and smiled slightly. He was very satisfied.

Jensen was also stunned. He shook his head and whispered, "You don't have to worry about the price."

"Then, let's order two light and easy to digest dishes for your mother, and we can bring them to the hospital later," Alice said in a soft voice.

She thought her voice was too soft to be heard by Nelson. However, he was a policeman who had received special training, so his hearing was really good and could easily hear her.

Jensen also looked up at his father.

Jensen whispered, "Why do you care about her? Did you forget that she was rude to you?" "When I saw your father, I realized that Aunt didn't come. I felt very sorry. Jensen nodded and said, "Okay, if you say so."

He quickly ordered a few dishes.

When the dishes were served, Nelson said to Alice, "Alice, eat more. You girls, don't just eat nothing in order to lose weight."

"Yes, thank you, Uncle," Alice immediately thanked him.

Nelson didn't ask anything about Alice's family. He was very kind throughout the meal, only giving her more food.

The whole meal was relaxing and warm.

Alice was also very happy in the end.

When they were about to leave, Nelson said, "Alice, I apologize to you on behalf of my wife. She is not very good at talking and is a bit stubborn at times. Don't take it to heart." Hearing Nelson apologize for Rosalie, Alice suddenly realized that Jensen's father was actually very smart. He only mentioned it after the meal so that they wouldn't lose their appetites.
