"You know Gary very well," Lowell admitted. "He won't agree to break up with you. I don't think you're not suited for each other. It's just that you don't know how to handle matters of the heart. You're probably only looking at the surface. I know that Gary is a little conceited, but he's genuine about his feelings."

"I'm so tired, Uncle," Celeste whispered, "I don't want to be stuck in a constant cycle of unease anymore."

In fact, she already had suspicions when they were away from each other for some time. She didn't want to be anxious anymore.

"Alright, don't worry about it. Just focus on getting some rest," Lowell said.

"Okay." Celeste didn't say anything else but asked Lowell to keep her abortion a secret. She didn't want everyone to know about it.

She didn't want Aunt Grace to blame Gary for this.

Lowell was just about to leave when Gary returned.

Before he left, he gave Gary a brief explanation of her thoughts. He frowned upon hearing it.

When he returned to the ward, Celeste coughed because of the strong smell of cigarettes.

It choked her.

The moment she coughed, Gary became anxious. "Celeste?"

He ran over and gently patted her on the back. This only made it worse.

"Go back and take a shower," Celeste said, "The smell of cigarettes on you is too strong for me to handle. Take a shower and eat something. I'm feeling better but I can't stand the smell of smoke." Gary was startled and became even more upset.

He was afraid that the smell would choke her, so he nodded. "I'll ask the nurse to take care of you. I'll take a shower and change my clothes. I'll be right back."

"Okay."

After he left, Celeste got herself discharged from the hospital.

At first, Gary felt a little at ease when Celeste ate her meal. He didn't expect her to actually leave the hospital afterward.

By the time he found out, Celeste had already flown back to England.

He read a letter that she left him on the hospital bed. There were only a few sentences on it, "Gary, I've gone back to England. You don't have to blame yourself for this. It wasn't your fault.

"I know that you might not think so, but it really had nothing to do with you. It was my own fault.

"Our breakup was also my own fault. I've always felt that we weren't suited for each other. No matter how much I loved you, I've always felt that it wasn't appropriate. I loved you so much that I desired every bit of you.

"Maybe this kind of love was just too selfish, which caused me to lose the baby. I had nothing before, and now I return to being alone again.

"We don't have to see each other and you don't have to blame yourself. I have chosen this path and I am willing to pay the price for it. I don't blame anyone else.

"I hope that I'll walk my own path in the future without any more disturbances.

"I really don't want to stay in Boston anymore, that's why I'm leaving. Don't look for me. I'll take care of myself. Goodbye. I hope that well still be friends when we meet again. Sincerely, Celeste." Gary was completely dumbfounded after reading the letter. He felt like his heart had been stabbed by a knife. Without thinking, he immediately booked a flight to England to chase after her.

Celeste was covered in a cold sweat after she got off the plane. She took a taxi back to the school dormitory and laid down in her room for a very long time.

At the same time, Gary returned to his home in London.

The butler was very surprised to see him. "Master Gary, why are you here?"

Ignoring the butler, Gary asked, "Did Celeste come here?"

The butler shook his head in surprise. "No, Miss Celeste hasn't been back for more than a month. I called and she said that she's busy dealing with the school's affairs and wouldn't have time to come back." The butler sounded worried, but Gary didn't have the patience to notice. When he heard that Celeste hadn't come back, he turned around and left.

When he returned to his house in Oxford, he found that it was exactly the same as he had left it a month ago. There was a thin layer of dust in the house which indicated that no one was currently living there. He went to the room on the second floor.

It was empty.

The entire villa was empty and there was no one around.

Gary's heart was once again in great pain. He was unable to find Celeste.

Maria was right. He didn't know anything about Celeste at all. Everything he understood about her was one-sided and entirely of his own opinion.

He could only depend on his own methods to find out where she was. He didn't actually have a clue as to where Celeste might be right now. Based on his understanding of her, he deduced that she must be in the school dormitory because she didn't seem to have anywhere else to go. Using his networking skills, he found her apartment address and went straight to the college. He rushed over and inquired a guard about her. Celeste really was in the dormitory. He let out a sigh of relief.

But, he realized that it wasn't suitable for Celeste to be living in this apartment with her current condition. It wouldn't be convenient to take care of her here. He wanted to bring Celeste back. Gary didn't hesitate and promptly called Alex to get someone to clean his villa and to restock the refrigerator with food. He ordered him to have it done within the next two hours.

After that, he tidied himself up and walked towards the door to Celeste's dormitory.

People gasped at the sudden appearance of an unfamiliar man.

Celeste was lying on her bed muddle-headed when she saw a tall figure at her door. She was shocked and stared at Gary while still in a daze. Her eyes were filled with shock and anger. "Who let you in? And why are you here?"

"I'll leave in a week's time, but you have to go back with me now and get some rest," Gary said blankly.

Contrary to his words, his tone wasn't harsh. He wasn't ordering her to do so.

Celeste could tell simply by listening to his voice. She looked at Gary and felt conflicted.

Gary walked over when she hesitated.

"Will you go back with me on your feet, or should I carry you out of here? Think it over," he said.

"I don't want to leave, why should I? Why are you even here? Didn't I leave you a letter? Why are you always pushing me around?"

"Because you don't take good care of yourself and you didn't return to your home in London or Oxford after coming back to England. Instead, you came here.

I don't think you can take proper care of yourself here, so I have to bring you away," Gary answered her questions seriously.

His eyes were fixed on her and the seriousness in them shocked her. He wouldn't allow her to behave as she pleased.

Celeste was shocked by his attitude. She was stunned for a moment and didn't know how to refute him.

Gary couldn't afford to wait any longer. He found her bag from the hospital and slung it over his shoulder. Then, he reached out to carry her.

She was shocked and immediately slapped his hand away then said, "I can walk on my own. You don't have to carry me."

"It's too late for that. I need to carry you. Your body is getting weaker." He looked down at Celeste whose face was as pale as a ghost's.

His heart ached as though it had been crushed. The pain was suffocating.

His handsome face contorted in pain. He bent down and carried Celeste off the bed. Gary left the dormitory with her in his arms ignoring all the stares around him.

The girls behind him said excitedly. "That man is so handsome."

Gary took her back to the house in Oxford which

Alex had cleaned up. Celeste went in and found everything spotless.

She never dared to come here. She was waiting to come and clean up this place once she was in a better mood.

She didn't expect to get pregnant. She was in a foul mood the entire week, which didn't help in wanting to clean up. There was a lot of dust before. She didn't expect to find that it spotless when she came back. It sees Gary had someone clean the place.

He propped Celeste up onto the couch and squatted down in front of her. He looked at her with a pair of conflicted eyes. "Celeste, I know whatever I say won't ease the pain in your heart. That's why I'll abstain from saying anything. Please just take care of yourself, okay?"

Celeste looked at him while still in a daze.

His eyes were filled with pain.

"I am taking care of myself," she said. "Stop thinking I'm not, I'm fine."
