Even if he didn't want to admit it, Zachary still agreed with his wife.

His worrying heart for his daughter was now slightly comforted.

However, he was still concerned about his daughter dating at the tender age of 20.

As he could tell Maria loved Liam more than the boy did.

In life, the one who loved more tended to be hurt the deepest.

As a loving father, Zachary found it hard to fully let go of his daughter.

"Zachary, look! They haven't driven away yet. They must be up to something inside the car. Ah, young love," Yvonne sighed, feeling slightly nostalgic.

Zachary snorted again and replied in a disdainful tone, "Right in front of our door? How frivolous."

Then, Yvonne burst into laughter before she glanced at him. She put her binoculars away and said, "You better hide this. Don't let Maria know I've been spying on her." "Maria doesn't, but our son does. He saw you taking the binoculars out," Zachary replied.

Yvonne sighed, "It's fine, he won't tell Maria. Zachary, you inherited this from your father, didn't you? You care about her so much that you nearly got in the way of her happiness."

Bringing up the past, Zachary pursed his lips and felt sorry for his wife.

"I'm not interfering."

"I know, but you almost did. That's called attempted interference." After that, Yvonne headed downstairs.

"Where are you going? Aren't you going to keep spying on them? Maria hasn't left," Zachary called out after his wife.

"Nah, I believe in them. Besides, Maria is our daughter; she definitely knows what she's doing. I'm reassured after seeing that boy help Maria with her stuff and open the door for her. Anyway, there's no need for us to be paranoid, and I've thought it through too. There isn't anything embarrassing about being pregnant at this age. All I want is to give birth peacefully and aim to be able to take care of our third child. After that, Yvonne went downstairs.

Still rather reluctant, Zachary picked up the binoculars and looked at the couple in the car. He angrily flung the binoculars away after seeing them hugging, and he called Maria immediately. "Mmph!"

Frightened by the phone call, Maria hurriedly tried to push Liam away.

He let go of her and took a deep breath. His breathing was still erratic.

He could no longer suppress the emotions in his heart; they were so strong that it even surprised him. As soon as he saw Maria, he couldn't help but want to hug and kiss her.

Thus the moment he closed the door, Liam couldn't resist hugging Maria and kissing her passionately.

The two of them were so engrossed in their passion that they nearly got carried away.

Thankfully, the phone call pulled them back. Seeing the call was from her father, she said to Liam, "Hurry up and drive. My dad's calling. He must've seen us."

Liam was also startled, and his face turned rosy. He started the car and drove away.

Maria cleared her throat and answered the call. "Hey, Dad, what's up?"

Zachary stood by the window, watching the car leave. He sighed in his heart as he thought, "They've finally left."

However, his tone was stern, "There's a camera at gates and a security room on the premises. We can see everything, so can't you two control yourselves? Tell Liam to keep it in his pants. How dare he be so reckless right in front of our house? Isn't he a movie star? Shouldn't he know what is and isn't appropriate?"

Maria's heart skipped a beat, and her face turned red in an instant. She said, "Dad, why are you like this? Why do you insist on watching us?"

Zachary, however, said solemnly, "You literally put it out there for everyone to see, so why can't we watch? Please think of your own reputation when you do these things, people are watching."

"Okay, Dad, bye." Maria quickly hung up the phone; her face was burning with embarrassment.

She couldn't refute her father's words because they made absolute sense.

She didn't even dare to look at Liam. Her face was as red as a tomato, and she felt shy.

Liam was also rather surprised. The voice on the other side of the phone was loud and he'd heard enough to know what was going on. His heart pounded frantically, and he found the blushing girl absolutely adorable.

Then, he ruffled her hair as he said, "Your father's right. I didn't control myself."

"Huh, you heard it all?" Maria was even more embarrassed and explained, "I don't know what's going on with my dad lately. Anyway, he doesn't behave like this usually. He's nagging a lot and worries about everything now."

"I can understand." Liam smiled and took off his sunglasses, showing his dark, gleaming eyes.

"Actually, he talked to me about a lot of things last night. I know my dad loves me, so please don't be mad at him."

Liam shook his head and said, "No, I don't think of it like that. Your parents are great, and you're lucky to have them. If I had a daughter, I'd be very worried too."

If he had a daughter?

Stunned, Maria thought, "Would he want a daughter with her?"

As the thought crossed her mind, shyness crept into her chest, and Maria turned to look outside the window, afraid Liam would be able to read her emotions.

"This is all very normal. Maria, you're my girlfriend now, so you don't have to talk to me like that. I want you to be able to be yourself in front of me, and I wouldn't mind it at all if you went a little crazy too. Stop being so careful around me, okay?" Liam asked in a soft voice.

"I never did." Maria shook her head and looked at Liam. "Actually, I'm still rather bold in front of you, and I feel blessed now."

Seeing her smile, Liam was happy too. "Then let's promise to always talk things through whenever we have problems. If we bottle things up, well have a lot of misunderstandings between us."

"I have no problem with that. I'll say whatever's on my mind and never hide anything from you," Maria replied breezily.

"Thank you," he said.

Maria raised her eyebrows and remarked, "Did you just thank me? Then shouldn't you stop being so polite with me?" Taken aback, he chuckled. "Alright, I'll stop."
