True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1345
"I'm not that thick-skinned," Celeste said coyly. "How can you let everyone know about this?"
"Why don't you want to let them know?" Gary's expression sank. He was a little displeased, as he spoke in a deep voice, "Do I look bad? Or is it because you don't want them to know that we are together?" "No, that's not it," Celeste shook her head. Seeing that his expression had suddenly froze and his attitude slightly cold, she was a little angry herself.
She was just a little embarrassed to let others know.
She was adopted by Grace. For the past four years, she had enjoyed the happy life given by the Jones family, and they had spent a lot of money on her.
If she gave herself up to Gary just like that, she would not have the nerve to follow through.
Meanwhile, Gary didn't really exert all his strength onto her. He was worried that she'd suffocate since she was so frail.
However, Celeste's words made it clear that she was just bashful to give herself to him.
With that, Gary refused to care anymore. He lowered himself and exerted all his force onto Celeste.
"What are you doing? Get off."
"I won't," Gary's anger flailed. He said to Celeste fiercely, "Celeste, I'm telling you, don't worry about anything else. I'm here for you. I'm determined to have you. Let's talk after we're done with our business." His tone was overbearing and cold, and it didn't feel like a joke at all.
Celeste was frightened.
She suddenly felt very wronged and couldn't help crying.
"Gary, you're bullying me. How could you do this to me right from the start? Now that you've gotten me, can you guarantee that I'll be your only woman in the future?"
Gary's face darkened slightly as he looked at her. He didn't say a word.
"Are we going to be together forever?"
"To put it bluntly, you just refuse to give it to me," Gary frowned.
His words made Celeste feel even more at fault.
She shouted, "I'm not afraid to be with you, I just don't want to be in such a hurry! But you... You're so impatient, and it scares me."
She wasn't afraid?
Gary lowered his gaze. The emotions in his eyes deepened and his tone was stiff.
He pressed down on her and asked, "Then what do you think we should do now?" Celeste was frightened.
"I'm all ready. If you tell me that I can't, then won't my trip to England be futile?"
Gary finished his words in a muffled voice. The condition of his body made him look even more agitated.
He suddenly stood up and left Celeste. Frustrated, he combed his hair back.
Without the pressure on her, Celeste could finally feel relaxed. She looked at Gary's back. He was sitting by the window with his back facing her, and his body was tense.
She reached out, almost touching his back.
Just then, the phone rang.
It was an unfamiliar ringtone. It was probably Gary's phone.
Celeste's hand froze in mid-air and she quickly retracted it.
Gary's phone was in his pocket. He took it out from the pocket of his pants and glanced at it. When he saw the caller ID, he paused for a moment and couldn't help but turn back to glance at Celeste. A while later, he answered the call and put it on speakerphone.
A cheerful female voice was immediately heard from over the phone. Judging from her lively tone, she was an extroverted tone.
Celeste could understand what they were talking about.
"Dear Gary, I heard that you went to England?"
"What's up?" Gary's tone was cold.
"Nothing, I just miss you so much. When I found that you were gone, my immense love for you had nowhere to go."
"Are you reading from a script?" Gary asked in reply. His tone was still fierce and did not show the slightest bit of politeness or courtesy.
"Don't be so fierce. I am also going to England tonight. When I arrive, I want to stay at your place." "There's no place for you here," Gary rejected her directly. He wasn't being polite at all.
"You're so stingy. Come one, I can sleep wherever you are," The girl didn't seem angry, or at least, there was no anger in her tone. She continued, "If I don't have a place to sleep, I'll sleep next to you." Gary frowned but did not say anything.
Celeste, who was standing behind him, was also stunned when she heard that a girl was being so familiar with Gary.
Since when did Gary, who wasn't good at talking to girls, start being intimate with that girl?
She suddenly felt a little sad, an envious feeling spreading in her heart.
Just then, Gary said into the phone, "The only person who can sleep beside me is my woman."
"Haha!" There was a hearty laugh over the phone before the girl teased, "Then I'll sleep under your bed and watch you as you sleep with your woman. How about that?"
"Get lost," Gary shot back, "If there's nothing else important, don't cause me any more trouble."
"I'm serious, I'm going to England tonight," The girl giggled, "I'm going on a trip. I am so bored. Your relatives are all in England, aren't they? I'd like to go over to have some fun." Gary's tone was still distant, "I don't have the time to pick you up."
"I don't need you to. It's okay for your relatives to pick me up.'
"
"They don't have the time either."
"Aww. Are you sure that you really don't want to pick me up?" The girl didn't seem to believe that Gary would be so heartless. She tried to appeal to him, "You don't have to be so heartless." Gary looked at the phone and declared forcefully, "I am that heartless."
His tone made him seem as if he was talking to a child who was throwing a tantrum after losing a game.
The girl on the other end of the line sighed and sounded a bit resentful, "Well, I'll wait for you to return to Boston and we'll see each other again." "The hell with that," After saying that, Gary hung up the phone. Although his tone was very cold, Celeste still felt that the atmosphere between the two was different from what she had heard.
At the very least, Gary admired the girl on the other side of the phone. Otherwise, he would not have answered the phone.
It turned out that he also had a female friend.
Celeste looked at his back and felt a little uncomfortable. She didn't want this. She didn't like this feeling at all.
Gary turned around and glanced at Celeste.
She was so nervous that she wanted to ask him about the girl, but she held herself back.
"If you want to know, why don't you ask me?" Gary didn't like to see Celeste holding back. It was clear that she wanted to know, but she had suppressed her curiosity.
She had chained her emotions up to live peacefully.
Hence, Gary took the initiative to probe her to ask questions. If not, she would regret it.
Thinking of this, Celeste got up from the bed and sat cross-legged in front of Gary. "Well, if you want me to ask, I will."
Gary nodded.
"Just go ahead."
"I have a lot of questions to ask you," Celeste gave him a serious heads-up.
"Just ask me. Why are you hesitating?"
"Gary, am I your girlfriend?" Celeste asked her first question.
Gary frowned and replied, "If you are not my girlfriend, then why did we video call each other for the past four years? Did I have nothing to do but casually video call a girl every week?" Celeste was too slow to realise what was going on. She was forcing him to tell her everything.
"You're probably the only one who knows what you're thinking," Celeste felt helpless as well, "You said I'm your girlfriend, but you didn't say it to me-even once. No one knows."
