True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1329
Celeste nodded honestly and said, "Sometimes I seem to be acting awkward indeed."
"Well," Gary laughed pleasantly, "As expected, the thirty million dollars wasn't spent in vain."
Celeste glanced at him. His handsome face had a hint of joy on it. Celeste felt that Gary liked to tease her.
She smiled as well and retorted, "However, no matter how awkward I am, I'm still a little better than you. Gary, you're a very, very awkward boy." "Hey!" Gary gasped. However, he wasn't angry. He only shifted forward and saw his face reflected in the phone. Celeste could see his eyes right in front of her.
She was shocked and stepped back subconsciously. She held the mobile phone a little further away.
"Celeste," Gary's voice wafted over, "Since you know that I'm awkward, then I won't tease you anymore. I want to tell you something."
"Yes?" She was a little surprised and didn't know what he was going to say next.
When she saw him staring at the screen, she suddenly felt a little nervous.
"Don't change your family name," Gary said, "At least not now."
Celeste was shocked again, and something flashed through her mind. She murmured, "You know about this too?"
"Yes," Gary said in a low and hoarse voice as if he was right beside her.
Celeste nodded. She lowered her eyes and spoke her mind, "I don't want to change my family name to Jones."
"Oh?" Gary was surprised and asked, "Why?"
"That's because your surname is Smith," Celeste looked up and instantly looked into Gary's eyes.
His eyes were so inky that she couldn't see through them.
Celeste's heart seemed to have skipped a beat and she could only look at him blankly.
After a moment of surprise, Gary curled his lips and let out a joyful smile.
He understood what Celeste meant, and he knew that Celeste had been thinking about him in all aspects.
There was some progress.
Gary couldn't help laughing.
"What are you laughing at?" Celeste felt a little awkward as he stared at her. She felt that Gary was intentionally trying to make her angry. "As for your family name, let's change it together in the future," He finally stopped smiling and said seriously, "It's not the right time now." Celeste was surprised and asked, "Do you mean that you're going to change your family name to Jones in the future?"
Gary did not speak. His gaze was surging with emotion.
Celeste was still worried and urged, "Why aren't you saying something? Do you really mean that?"
"What about you? Do you want me to change my name to Gary Jones?" He asked with a faint smile.
Celeste nodded seriously, "Although I don't know what happened, I think you should change your family name. You used to share the same family name with your mother, but I heard from Aunt Smith that your biological grandfather is a Yarbrough, so I don't think it's necessary for you to retain your surname as Smith."
There was really no need to do that.
However, even though it was so easy to have the surname Jones, he still didn't want to change it immediately.
"Let's talk about this later," Gary replied.
"Aunt Smith said she would help me find who my biological parents are. Let's talk about this when she finds out," Similarly, Celeste had some personal plans for the future.
However, it was fortunate that she knew how to reflect on her life.
"By the way, did my mother give you some pocket money?" Gary almost forgot the most important question.
"She did," Celeste showed him, "Aunt Smith just came in and gave me a card."
"Give me your account number," Gary said.
"What are you doing?" Celeste asked in surprise.
"I'll give you pocket money whenever I want," He smiled, "Don't worry, I can support you."
"I don't want it," Celeste immediately shook her head, her face turning red.
Gary did not say anything and just leaned back against the chair. His handsome face was cold and devoid of emotion. He looked at Celeste just like that. It was as if he knew that she would not agree, but he insisted on looking at her anyway.
Celeste froze for a moment and then compromised, "Okay, I'll send you my account number later, is that okay?" "That's more like it," It was only then that Gary was satisfied, "Alright, you just moved, so you need to rest and do some other stuff. Let's call it a day."
"Alright."
After talking to Gary on the phone, Celeste took a photo of her account number and sent it to Gary. Then, she kept the card away carefully.
The days went on.
Three days later.
After Celeste, Ernest and Maria entered the school, Heinz, Grace and the others left London together and went to Boston in the United States.
Meanwhile, Alex stayed in London, as he was responsible for their lives and their daily necessities.
Celeste's life was back on the right track.
Her days were spent travelling between school and home.
She would finish her lessons obediently every day and then go back home to rest.
One day after school, Celeste met a well-dressed man who blocked her path.
Celeste looked up and saw that the man was wearing a hoodie, and he had a hat set firmly on his head. Furthermore, he had black sunglasses and a mask covering his face.
For a moment, Celeste did not recognize who the person was.
When he spoke, Celeste realized that the person was Liam.
"Celeste, I'm Liam Robinson."
"Liam?" Celeste let out a sigh of relief. The minute she answered him, she could help but shoot several glances behind him. After the lesson she had learned back then, Celeste had become very cautious and careful.
She was guarding against the paparazzi.
At a glance, Liam saw through Celeste's intention.
"There are no journalists, so you can be rest assured," Liam assured her, "I just learned about your situation. Why are you so stubborn to break off your relationship with Miss White? She cares about you and loves you a lot. Do you know she's ill?"
Celeste squinted her eyes and her heart twitched. However, when she thought about Cindy selling her off for 30 million, she knew that everything was over.
The bond between her and Cindy was severed by 30 million dollars.
She didn't know why, but when she heard from Liam that Cindy was ill, she still felt sad.
"Mr. Robinson, are you sure you know what's going on with me?" Celeste looked at Liam with a calm and distant tone.
"You're the adopted daughter of the Jones family now," Liam scoffed, "You really wanted to get rid of Miss White, so you tried to get close to the Jones family, which is indeed a shortcut."
"Since you're certain that I'm using the Jones family as a shortcut to elevate my social status, then why are you here?" Celeste didn't show too much emotion because she didn't want to continue this conversation with him.
There was no use talking to someone who was already innately biased.
Liam was surprised. He frowned, "I just didn't want to believe it, so I came to see you and ask why you had done so. You even wanted to change your family name. Did you know how hurtful it was to Miss White?"
