True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1324
Cindy was also stupefied.
This was the video of her doing it with Mr. Holland. She had already destroyed it, so why was it still here?
"This just arrived," Cindy hurriedly explained.
Monica directly took the phone from her and looked at it carefully. She frowned.
"Monica, it's better to not watch it," Cindy thought that it was really embarrassing to show this indecent video to her agent.
She wanted to cover it up, so she reached out to mute the sound.
"No," Monica raised her cell phone a little higher, "We have to inspect this in detail, or else we will not know what we are dealing with. We can't just turn a blind eye to this just because you are afraid. We need to know the motive of this video and its value."
Cindy couldn't get her cell phone back. She was very depressed, and her expression looked very terrible.
Monica continued to watch the video, and her eyes were full of surprise. She fast-forwarded to the climax of the video.
It was three-thirds of the way in, and it was painfully obvious.
After finishing the video, Monica took a deep breath and looked at Cindy. She sighed, "Impressive, there are rumors that Mr. Holland is really good in bed."
"Monica, are you seriously laughing at me?" Cindy's eyes were now red and she was very dejected, "What should I do?"
Monica passed the phone back to her and said, "Check it out and see who wants to blackmail you. There aren't many people who dare to provoke someone under my care."
Everyone under Monica's agency would rarely be hit with such rumours. Everyone respected her as they knew how capable she was.
However, she didn't know what was going on this time.
"What's the email address?" Monica asked.
Cindy tapped open her mailbox. There was only one sentence in the email this time.
"Cindy, don't try to play tricks. You're no match for me. Don't overestimate yourself." There was only this sentence and the video in this email. There was no address. Cindy scratched her head and stared at Monica.
Monica thought for a moment and explained, "Save this video first. I will find someone to find out who sent it. In short, we can't sit still and wait."
"But why do I have a feeling that the other party knows what is going on at my end?" Cindy felt creeped out as it seemed like the other party was spying on her.
"You're just feeling guilty and anxious that someone might upload this to the internet," Monica comforted her, "The other party doesn't seem like they want to extort you. It seems like they don't want money." "Let me be honest," Cindy pursed her lips in a self-deprecating way, "I just can't figure out who I have offended."
"What about your adopted daughter?" Monica looked at her and asked.
"You knew about that?" Cindy was taken aback.
"Katherine mentioned to me just now that you surrendered your guardianship over her to Heinz Jones."
"Yes, they wanted her so I promised to give her to them," Cindy was frank, "They are going to bring over the documents this afternoon."
"It's not your character to give in so easily," Monica said.
Cindy stared at her, and there was a hint of selfmockery in her eyes. She laughed, "Does it matter? The relationship between us is over. It ended the moment she found out that I am not biologically related to her."
"There are rumors that she's your illegitimate daughter."
"If I could give birth to a child, I would have been married a long time ago. Would I need to wait until now?" Cindy said this with a hint of bitterness in her tone.
Monica looked at her in a daze. After some time, she sighed heavily, "It's not easy for a woman to become successful, and it is even harder to ensure our reputation doesn't plummet. There are many things tha have to be compromised along the process. I'm certain that you understand what I am saying."
"Yes, now that my reputation is at stake, I don't wish to torment this child any longer. It's better for me to hand her over than for her life to be affected," Cindy whispered softly.
"Cindy, I'm afraid that she won't realize your kindness," Monica said.
"I don't need her to do that," Cindy glanced at
Monica and pursed her lips again. She squeezed out a weary smile, "When I decided to raise her, I never expected her to appreciate my kindness. If I needed her to appreciate me, then I wouldn't have quarreled with her in the first place."
"Can you really let her go?"
"Yes," Cindy declared firmly, "No one else is more suitable to be her guardian than Heinz."
"I understand, you have also done enough. Her parents would be so delighted with everything you did for her, " Monica patted her shoulders, "It has been sixteen years. You should also let go." Cindy nodded and answered, "Monica, since you have found out about the truth, then please help me keep it a secret and never tell Celeste about this. It's better if she doesn't know anything." "I will," Monica nodded, "Some things are better off kept as secrets. Don't worry, my lips are sealed."
Cindy looked at Monica and smiled. This time, it was a rather depressing but sincere smile.
"If you really can't deal with it anymore then just let it be. It's not like I can't endure it."
"What are you talking about? You are under my agency. What kind of person would I be if I just stood aside? Our friendship aside, I'd go out of business if I did that."
Monica's words were very honest.
Cindy did not say anything. She only lowered her head and stayed silent for a very long time.
Her shoulders were trembling.
Monica's hand was placed gingerly on her shoulder for some time.
Few minutes passed as they stayed that way.
Then, Monica finally spoke again, "Don't worry. I'm here to find out the person who is trying to make trouble for you. If they mess with you, then they're messing with me. We are not people who are easily bullied."
"I don't know. There's no email address."
"You don't have to worry about it. I'll check it out," After saying that, Monica picked up her phone and dialed a number, "Come here by yourself. Yes, you alone."
Soon, she hung up the phone.
After a short while, a tall, slender boy came up with a laptop bag on his back.
"Monica, Miss White."
"Close the door and come here," Monica gave him the mobile phone and said, "Find out the email address that sent this."
"On it!"
After taking the phone, the boy quickly sat down and went to work.
Monica and Cindy were waiting by his side. No one spoke because they were afraid that they would affect the boy's concentration.
Meanwhile, the drone outside quietly moved and hid itself in a more remote spot.
Not long after, a voice could be heard from inside the house, "The sender of this email is located in the United States. He is using a proxy server, so I can't pinpoint his exact location."
